This place is off the beaten path but is well worth it. The first thing you will notice is how well maintained the facilities are. Nice touches like, lights on the signs, dog hitching post and well maintained RV pads. The shower and bathroom are clean but be prepared for the stainless steel toilets, they are cold (hahhah). There many trails that you take a hiking stick with you, it will be wet even if the sun is out. The MWR team is great and very helpful, as well as the little store, which has beer, candy souvenirs as well as a small lounge. If your looking for the internet here forget it. Unless you have a directional antenna pointed toward the cell tower there will be no internet for you. I saw a couple of RVers who had a Weboost Antenna at the campground and the were good to go. The internet at the campground was not working, you could see it but you could not use it. Over it is a great place for all and the kids. If you go fishing be AWARE that the road is very, very narrow and can only support on car going up or down. If you do fish you will need a Washington Fishing License. MWR, does not say that in their brochure but just a heads up. Be aware you are in the woods and you may see some mist or rain because you are in the North Cascades. Go, enjoy 😉

This is my 3rd time here and it never ceases to amaze me. The place is really a disconnect from the busy and connected world we live in now. I was here with family and friends and we were able to drink by the campfire and relax without getting disturbed. There's also entertainment and lots of things to do on this place like a Theatre and a park where kids can enjoy and have fun. There's no clean running water here so bring tons of water when you go and also just enjoy the stay and stay disconnected. There's plenty of parking here so no problem.

Watch out for over-booking!!!!!! I booked two cabins months in advance and was told it was all good. About two weeks before the trip a person from the office said she was offering us an upgrade to a deluxe cabin instead of the two cabins. That's all they communicated. Come to find out they had put us in the apartments on base instead. When I called to figure this out after seeing the receipt they told me that this was what I agreed to ( I didnt) that they over booked the cabins I originally got and I was last on the cue so that's why I had to switch. This was never communicated. The manager Summer then proceeds to tell me all the miscommunication is my fault and I need to deal with it. Then she hangs up on me. I had four kids four adults looking forward to a great camping trip and it was taken away from us from a manager who didn't know how to communicate . If they would have told us at the beginning they were over booked we could have made it work but I had to call to find out after I was charged. This is still a great location but be careful when booking.

We had a excellent stay at the Jim Creek MWR. Hiking, lakes, rental equipment, and cabins are what to expect from this place. I enjoy the fact that if you forgot something, then most likely you could rent it from the MWR. Will be visiting again!

I believe I stayed in one of the Bobcat cabins. Outside restrooms were well kept and clean. The skies were clear when I went, which was perfect because I had also brought my telescope along. There are technically 4 beds in the cabin; the pullout couch, the main bed, and the bunkbed. I only got the Bobcat cabin because I wanted something with a little more room for myself. However, these cabins could easily lodge 3 or more people inside of them. Drove up through the valley to the lake and went fishing! The people working the pier were friendly and showed me how to work the boats and such. Had a great time out here, and would definitely visit again.

So Google has it listed as a hotel. It's not. It's a campground and recreational center for active duty and retired military and their families. They have back-in RV sites, group sites, tent sites and camping cabins. It is well maintained and the camping cabins are a good size. They have an okay store that sells some camping stuff and souvenirs. There is a lounge upstairs with a TV and computers. There is also a frisbee golf course.

This place is an amazing refuge hidden in the beautiful hills of WA. We went here for several days right before I deployed in 2018 and stayed in the deluxe cabins, which were 10 times better than we could have expected! To this day some of the greatest memories I have of Washington of time my family shared at Jim Creek. I am very grateful the Navy/MWR maintains this sight and hope they continue to do so for years to come. BZ MWR team!

My family and I stayed at Jim Creek for a 4 day memorial weekend (2018). Reservations were made through the DoD Lodging contact number. Attended with husband and 2 children, ages 3 and 4. We rented an on-site, brand new Mallard Travel Trailer that included hookups (electric and water). Fantastically priced at only 90$ a night! Maintenance emptied tanks upon request through the front office. If you check in after hours, there will be a pick up area located in the 24 hour lounge of the main building, number 4. Here are some perks we enjoyed: - low cost rentals for things we didn’t bring (ie: firewood, corn hole bags, helmets for bikes (helmet required when on site), bikes, horse show for games, variety of boats, fishing poles- you name it! - at least 2 parks on site that all the children love - each site had a fire pit (cabins, lodge, individual RV site) - on site grey/black water dumping - general store for basic items The lake is about a 20 minute drive. Be mindful of the signs that lead you to the correct road to the lake as there is a car path and a mountain bike path. If you run out of food to cook, or didn’t bring everything on your way to the camp, there is a wonderfully priced grocery store in Arlington (which has organic items in stock!). There is a gas station about 5 miles outside of the site, in the main road. There is no cell phone service but you’re able to connect to their Wi-Fi and have access to their 24 hour lounge (with WiFi and computers). Don’t worry about cell phone service! You’re there to enjoy yourselves and your friends/family. Your experience will be better without technological distractions! There are at least (2) hiking trails

We stayed in the lodge for a Leadership Retreat. It was a great venue and beautiful setting. The staff was very accommodating. We used to the caterer from Jim Creek and really enjoyed the food.

Jim Creek was absolutely stunning and the staff really made all of our dreams come true. We were getting married at a nearby venue (Jackson Manor Events, also perfection!) and wanted to have our friends and family stay with us for a whole wedding weekend. We rented out the lodge and a number of other cabins. The lodge had a massive kitchen where we were able to feed all 60 of our guests easily. We stayed up all night around the fire telling stories and watching relationships develop. It was pure magic and it wouldn't have been possible without the help of the Jim Creek staff, who were accommodating and sweet, despite our many strange requests. We can't wait to come back for a reunion!!

Overall, an amazing place. Hidden little gem for DoD members in the Pacific Northwest to camp, explore, kayak, or just relax. Everything about this place is wonderful.

Disc golf course is trash. They spent money on baskets and signs, that's it. But the signs aren't even where the tee boxes are (not that there is a physical tee box). Whoever added the course to UDisc did a horrible job. The GPS is off by over 100ft at some holes.

We stayed in the one of the cub cabins. It slept 6 with double bunk beds and a futon. It was awesome. Make sure to bring sleeping bags, pillows and blankets. The mattresses are provided, but not pillows or blankets. The recreation store has all kinds of amenities for purchase including snacks, beverages, toiletries and firewood. You can also rent canoes, fishing boats, fishing poles, and many more. Games and movies can be checked out as well from their 24 hour lounge. We rented fishing poles, lanterns, and a troll boat to fish at twin lakes. The staff was fantastic to work with and very knowledgeable. We will definitely be going back, the kids didn’t want to leave!

The Navy MWR has Jim Creek site setup so nice for camping! Great RV sites, cabins and a lodge of needed. Also tent sites as well! Lots of activities to embark on as well. Everyone, both staff and other patrons were so kind to us during our stay! Highly recommended!

My extended family and I just got home from a trip there and we all had a blast! The slip n slide was definitely a favorite for all the kids and my husband! Unfortunately we couldn't go across the bridge in our RV so we couldn't go to the creek and the road to the lake is something made for daredevils. We're looking forward to our next visit!

Excellent facility. Only complaint is wifi. Been there 3 days and it does not work. They blame the service provider. Need to get a new provider. RV spots are nice and shower facility was immaculate.

Jim Creek is a great MWR facility. The 4th of July was marred for those suffering from PSTD and wanting peace and relaxation by offsite fireworks

Good size sites for everything from tents 2 cabins. Large lodge, laundry, private shower and bathroom areas, rec/lounge/TV areas, gazebo in the pines, boating, fishing, fire pits, grills, security, so much and yet very remote.
