At first glance, I thought okay this place looks nice on the outside, no trash or miscellaneous items just laying on the ground. To my dismay, as soon as you arrive in the lobby, your nostrils are filled with the stench of cigarettes and weed. The customer service was as typical as anyone who hates their job but needs the paycheck so in terms it wasnโ€™t horrible. When we arrived to our room, it looked as good as any extended stay hotel would look, clean enough to come in and put your things down and settle in. Then you notice, there is no blankets, the pull out bed had two broken bars on it that they tried to duct tape to the side of the bed but really who is that fooling? I wanted to like this hotel, I wanted to but then we asked for blankets and some sheets and the customer service dwindled exponentially. This hotel pales in comparison to its surrounding counterparts. This is just my experience, hopefully it helps to anyone who is looking into a place to stay for 2 weeks. May luck forever be in your favor.

Relocated to the area with my spouse, decided to stay here while we searched for our next home. Once checked in and getting settled, we discovered we didn't have a bathroom door, no kitchen light, the dishwasher was not working, and neither was the TV. To find out our room wasn't inspected before we checked in..? We spoke to the manager, Katrina about this, she told us she'd get back to us and have someone fix those issues. Well only the TV got fixed. Over time we also discovered we're supposed to get serviced every 14 days, not once did we get serviced. We've even requested services directly from the front desk and still never got any. Also, any time we showered, wed get staff knocking on our door asking if our bathroom is flooding, NO its a plumbing issue downstairs! Fast forward to 70 days later, we spoke to Katrina again (probably 3rd or 4th time at this point) to mention we're still missing amenities, not getting services (we finally did that day), and asked if we can get some kind of discount or compensation for the issues. She was absolutely rude, snarky, and disgusting, only offer 2 free nights and gave us the under staffing excuse (I'm sorry but after 70days that's no excuse). In all honestly, I don't feel safe or comfortable staying here with such a careless manager. Also to mention, the website states pet fee is $5 a day per pet and we've been paying $20 a day ($10 per pet). We've had enough to the point we're were filing complaints to get the higher ups involed while still staying here. To top it off, we see tons of people getting kicked out of their rooms, sleeping in cars, interesting characters snooping around, and a lot of cars having busted windows. Never again will I stay at another Woodsprings Suite, especially this one. Consider yourself warned!!!

This place is trash. Donโ€™t be fooled by the nice exterior of the building. This hotel is basically a hotel and half way house had a hotel baby. Sketchy people roaming the halls at all hours of the night and the rooms do not look like the pictures on the internet. This place is a scam Also the tv donโ€™t work in the room. Like at all. If you get a channel to work, donโ€™t change the channel because it will never work again. This place is a joke. Also! They donโ€™t have iron boards and iron in the rooms. You telling me some joker spent all this money building this place and couldn't buy each room an iron board and iron. I had to go to the front desk and rent out an iron board that was 2 feet long and as old as me. Also the iron was super trash! I wouldnโ€™t tell my worst enemy to stay here. If you are an intelligent human who works hard for their money, stay somewhere else. I wish that stationary bike down stairs had real wheels on it so I could ride the hell out of here. Thank god! I only booked one night.

Second stay. First stay great. Clean room, did not get charged for dog. Both stays 1 night. Second stay they charged $82 for dog (website said $50). Room smelled of smoke but clean. All in all the room that I booked for $120 ended up costing $201.

Woodsprings Suite is One of the worst hotels in the state of Washington. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!! I was between leases and felt I could spend a month in a hotel while searching for my next rental. At first, the staff and the residents seemed okay, but low and beheld the Devil showed his face. The cleaning crew would yell and tell you to head downstairs if you needed towels, the hallways always smelled like adult diapers, and dog feces were scattered around the property daily. My son's entire back window was smashed due to theft ON OUR CHECK OUT DATE. That incident was not the worse. After leaving the hotel, we realized our luggage was left behind. The staff took my son's clothing and lied about nothing being in the room. Any theft would say that if they discovered clothing worth 900 dollars. Oh, how I regret the day I talk to Nancy when booking my room. By the way, this place is like an extended stay. The people there never leave. I met some good people, but the Devil lives there too. Good Luck, Everyone!

This is one whacked place to stay. First off we reserved the room 5 days ahead. When we got there our room wasn't ready. We went back 3 times and finally got to check in at 1130pm. There was garbage from the previous tenant under the sink, the floors were not clean. The kitchen had 1 plate, 2 bowls, 2 coffee cups, 1 glass. Theres supposed to be service for 2 and they are to provide disposal. There was no toilet paper either. The water was luke warm, and the sink was slow to drain. The elevator quit working and I had to walk down from the 4th floor. Overall the staff was nice but the place sucked.

Would give 0 stars if i could. My family and i were racially profiled and had the cops called on us. It was me my husband and our son. Lakewood PD pulled up about 10 cars deep. The police came and had no reason to incriminate us due to the fact that the whole call to 911 was a LIE. Someone called the police and said we threatened them while apparently having a fire arm pointed at them. The whole thing was bogus and was clearly due to my husband being black. We keep to our selves. We are respectful of others and all we were trying to do was be together as a family during the holidays. That was all short lived when we were trespassed from the premises. The staff sided with the resident that lied on us and tried to stop us from even getting our belongings but because we were compliant, respectful, and OBVIOUSLY lied on, Lakewood PD escorted us and allowed us to get our belongings.

I am giving a 2-star rating since this was our 2nd stay in the facility. We had such great luck the 1st time so we wanted to go back again. We have decided we will not be staying again, we went and bought our own towels after finding the ones provided were not very clean. To only find out when we settled in for bed that the sheets were not clean either. I guess we just had good luck the 1st time since they had not been open too long that time.

I had a reservation, arrived at 8pm to a note that stated to call a number as there was no one present to check me in at the counter. Come to find out she was in her hotel room eating dinner. (told to me by someone in the lobby) The room itself was nice, with a kitchenette! However, I was unable to sleep AT ALL, as they placed me directly above the electrical room, which was extremely loud. I had business to attend to the next morning at 830am (the entire reason I came down to Lakewood), which was before the office opened, so I was unable to request a different room. When I returned at 430pm, I was told they had no rooms available to switch to. I proceeded to my room, then returned downstairs, where the same clerk was checking someone else in, who didn't have a reservation, (I asked them) Meaning they DID have other rooms available. I will never be returning to this hotel or any of its subsidiaries, as the customer service here is horrendous.

The management pretty much sucked. The regular staff are friendly but frustrated most from being over worked secondary to being understaffed. It's a much nicer stay in general than extended stay America. The decor was more clean and modern. And i never had to worry about being shot by a stray bullet. The pricing is outrageous, especially considering that the majority of the people that need to stay there are under some sort of distress. I also had issues when I moved in involving a bait and switch on the price for the 1st 3 months. There were increases starting within 2-3 weeks.

First of all the staff is helpful and very friendly But the manager Is a baby. it look liked the manager got bullied as a kid and is really rude. Honestly if you want a room with no bathroom door ๐Ÿšชand live wires coming out of the wall then this is the place for you. good luck in getting a refund or canceling youโ€™re stayed at the hotel , cause the manager will act like a kid and he doesnโ€™t know what heโ€™s doing. this is the reason why the hotel is falling apart

For the price, I was just expecting a bit more. For a something close to $147 a night, the cooking pots and pans were dirty, very minimal amenities (no hair dryer, iron, just some towels and soap). But the main thing that really put us off was the SMELL. I read previous reviews commenting on it but didnโ€™t think it was bad til we actually walked in. It smelled like mildew. It felt like it got stronger the longer we stayed. Whatever it is, shame on the hotel for charging as much as they do without addressing something as urgent as possible mold in their walls. Nothing against the staff since they were super welcoming but I wouldnโ€™t stay here again unless they fix the smell.

I would urge anyone to not stay here, simply for the fact that they have a major pest problem that the GM just shrugged off as a minor issue. Plus, I checked out of the hotel for said issue, he charges me for 2 additional days because he had to take the room off market. Like that's my problem?! It's called customer service, buddy. And after a promise of a refund for the portion of my stay I didn't use, he ghosts me and now I have to get my bank and insurance company who funded the stay involved...It's dirty, poor area(vehicle break-ins and thefts near daily), questionable management.

Upon arrival to my room, I noticed the sheets were wrinkled. I immediately removed the top sheet from the bed. The fitted sheets were dirty with what looked like brown "love stains." The floors were not swept. I went to the front desk & requested that the sheets be changed and the floors swept. The front desk was nice enough to switch my room. I waited over an hour as they checked in other clients. The manager Calvin stated that he would discount my hotel price and accommodate me for the inconvenience. He walked me to my old room and there was a cleaning lady present. Without me saying a word she showed him the dirty sheets. The new room that I received was definitely cleaner. However, the bathroom door had a hole in. It looked like someone punched the door. The property is not in the best area. My second night at the hotel I saw police speaking with an older woman in the front lobby. Her car had been stolen. The area is known for cars being broken into. One night I could hear my neighbors arguing. It seems like a domestic violence situation. I dialed the front desk twice at the 500 number provided, however, no one answered the phone. I just left it alone. The elevator smelled of urine. There's no security & a lot of suspect characters in and around the hotel. Upon checking out I left my information for Calvin to call me expecting him to make good on his word of accommodating me for the disgusting experience. I never heard from him. At least a courtesy call would have sufficed, but I guess my concerns were of no importance once my bill was paid. I would suggest that you find another hotel. Do not bring your children here! The only convenient part about this hotel is that it's located near the train and bus station. Other than that, it's best not to go here unless you are extremely desperate.

Probably the worst hotel I've stayed at in the Tacoma/Lakewood area. The property was sketchy. The service desk was very inattentive. It took almost half an hour for someone to come up and check me in. No one was there to check me out. I never got an emailed receipt. I had to call them and ask for one, and still have not received one. The location was convenient. The rooms were fair.

Walls and floors are made of paper apparently. You can hear and smell everything from the hallway. So good luck sleeping if your upstairs neighbors are walking around at 5am. Front desk is less than sympathetic. Vending machines steal money.

They were great clean very clean, kitchenettes, nice comfy beds, the front desk employees we're on it as well as the rest of the employees. The price is right and there dog friendly, and denny's restaurant is almost right next door. Thank you guy's for doing such a good job!

Both of my vehicles were broken into. The staff told me they could not look at the cameras until I filed a police report. After the police report they told me they did not have cameras in the back and there was nothing they could do. They were not responsible for my vehicles. After that I asked the park up front and this employee Christa told me she would have me towed. Not only was there no sympathy they said they would call the cops on me.

This is the worst place to stay at my family for 2 months have been dealing with bed bugs in their room. This place has now decided to kick him and my sister-in-law out of their room and chose not to communicate with them in an type of form. The one thing is he has proof of the bedbugs and though I am telling future people who may chose to visit this establishment check everything first. I know for a fact this is true because I had to stay with them after I had back surgery and I told him I was finding spots a red spots on my body where I had gotten bit. Also since I wasn't able to drive my sister-in-law has been staying with me to keep from this issue. Though before she had found out about the bedbugs herself she had red spots on her body also. Once we all had put one and one together head informed them of this issue and gradually have done little as possible to resolve this problem with the bedbugs and the stress and anxiety discomfort. They also refused to talk to him about this issue. I wish that they have a 0 rating that is what they deserve. Thank you Joann Jackson

I slept well. The room was clean. However, if you need an extra towel, be prepared to purchase it or go wash your own. If you need a coffee pot, that too must be purchased. If you need to borrow an iron, you must leave your driver's license. I did sleep well, and the bathroom was clean.

Do not stay here! Horrible smell as soon as you walk into the building. Questionable looking people standing right outside the front doors smoking cigarettes and weed. There was a guy passed out sleeping in the lobby on the couch and he remained there for a good bit of time. My room smelled so incredibly bad and the floor was sticky. I hung around for about 2 hours before leaving and going to the Holiday Inn up the road which was soo much better.

Pro: What an interesting hotel. I'm not sure how old this hotel is, but it appears to be brand new. Coming into the building, it's clean, functional, and secure. The rooms are small but practical. It appears minimal. Having a mini stove, a fridge, a microwave, and a full bathroom was useful. I'm not sure how to feel about a non carpeted room being that it's Washington state, and it is a more cold state rather than warm. The rooms do give me minimalist European vibes. I do like the coffee on demand in the lobby (made fresh at a posh of a button). Our room was facing the street versus freeway, so no freeway noise was noticed. Con: There were so many little things "broken" or fully functional with the room. The bathroom door was stiff and difficult to turn. The tub faucet and shower bar were loose. The room for the door doesn't easily shut, so make sure you push hard to shut from inside the room and pull hard when closing from outside. The elevator was rickety sounding going up or down. The front desk is non-existent after and before certain hours, maybe a "Thank You" to COVID for that. Sorry I did take any pictures...Overall, the experience was ok. Would I stay they again? Maybe...

I needed a spot to rest my head for 10 days until I could get a house, needless to say I was exhausted and stressed having driven from out of State. Theresa was at the front desk when I checked in, she was kind and patient with me, the weary traveler, she helped me get exactly what I needed . Nancy the manager was a great host, always had a nice smile for me and asked how I was doing. My room was clean and the bed was super comfortable, I slept soundly! I wouldnโ€™t hesitate to stay there again!

Booked 2 rooms one room was full of roaches, large ones that clearly have been a problem for more than a short period of time. The second room had faulty wiring and smelled terrible from suspected bug bombs no evidence of bugs other than the strong smell. The staff claimed they had zero rooms available and now we're forced to find other options. Very disappointed.

Typical extended stay hotel. Tons of smokers, so the halls and common areas don't smell the best. Seems no one picks up dog poo, so it's a mine field out there. All staff have been lovely and accommodating. Good price. Room is very clean and spacious enough.

So I had to check out two weeks early. I talked to management and asked for a refund. They agreed to refund me but them 3 months later they rejected the refund. I never got my money back. I was lied to and screwed over. My stay was cool but if I knew I was not going to get refunded I would had kept the room even if I didnโ€™t stay there. They basically made soy del money off me. Iโ€™m sure the booked my room as soon as I left.would not recommend them at all

If you want to have 250 dollars charged to your account for missing linen and dishes please be my guest and stay at this hotel. I was not allowed to extend my stay, yet I was consistent in making payments to my room. However, when trying to extend, I was informed that I had 24 hrs and then I had to vacate the room which did not give me any chance of properly cleaning the room since I work nights. The best part was that the manager on site "threatened" to raise the cost of damages on my account since I asked for a breakdown of the 250 dollar charge after I had vacated the room. Her dodgy response was that it rounded off to 250 just to be fair and only mentioned that the linen and dishes were missing. Be prepared to be screwed out of your money once you stay here. All due respect, Not Coming Back Anymore.

incredibly hostile male manager. my rates went up after i have been staying here for months, when i asked why he simply said this is our policy. he then proceeded to get hostile and threatened to kick me out if i didnt like the policy which he refused to provide. i asked for a district manager info and he also refused to give it, said it was a waste of his time and hes not obligated to do it and "this isnt an apartment i dont have to provide you with anything" i would suggest seeking another location. this place is terrible and the manager is unnecessarily rude. i also recorded his behavior if anyone would like to see it

Worst โ€œhotelโ€ Iโ€™ve ever stayed in. Had to stay here for about a month waiting on military housing. The front desk closes after 9. So if you need help you have to call a # no one answers. There is a smoking area right in front of the entrance and everyone that smokes stands there and smokes cigarettes AND weed. So every time you walk in and out the entrance you have to walk through a cloud of 2nd hand smoke. A lot of the smokers were also employees of the hotel. The rear entrance has dog poo on the side walk and overflowing trash all the time. You have to pay for laundry and the laundry room is always dirty. ALL the hallways SMELL BAD! the whole place smells like animals and dirty dogs. The carpets look very dirty also. The 1st room they put us in had flees or some type of bugs so they moved us to another room. The ONE elevator in the hotel is VERY slow, dirty, and smells also. There is not nearly enough cleaning that goes on. I only seen the employees clean in the morning and that is it.

Very nice WoodSpring suites. I feel very safe here even have a single woman, so much so i walked to convenience store down the road less than a few blocks In the middle of the night for a midnight snack. Very clean rooms and well laid out, Staff was fantastic and very helpful. Reasonable rates donโ€™t have anything to complain about whatsoever. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here!

I struggle with giving a 4 star but it not that bad and price was great. Advise to bring: 1. extra pillows and a blanket. I didn't like there's. It was like prison stuff I feel like 2. A candle or something to make the room smell better. The room had a bad odder. 3. dish soup for sink and dish washer 4. If you like your room dark then a curtain or something to cover blinds. (I didn't bring anything though) Just something I would have liked. 5. HDMI cable if you bring a laptop that way you could watch movies on TV. 6. The room was provided with a pot, pan, 2x Bowls, 2x Plates, 2x Glasses, 2x mugs, 2x of each silverware. If you plan on cooking alot bring extra stuff. That's about it. Staff was great. Location is close to JBLM but Lakewood has crime so lock and park you car close to the door. Wood have gave it 5 stars but it was the little things that almost had me give it a 3 star but I'm nice.

I've stayed here over a month now and front desk staff are wonderful. Always helpful and kind. Place stays clean and hygienic. When ever I need towels or other things they are right at my service. I sleep wonderful as it's not loud at night and the building it's self is up kept. I appreciate the experience at this hotel compared to others!!!!

I'll give my opinion based more on the future. Besides the noisy upstairs people ๐Ÿ™„ which is crazy how loud they are working graveyards is hard with them. I have not talked to them yet they have doggies๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ (maybe what can you do? )They are clean I've yet to ever see someone even cleaning the washers and dryers in their laundry room ๐Ÿ˜Š That's a major student in showing they don't just say it's clean. They also have a company that comes out to do the grounds Brookstone Landscape and Design on top of the Associates I see cleaning between time. The staff is amazing. No matter who you encounter they are there to help you. The gym that is there has that Pelaton bike which is amazing but will hurt the tush for the people on the more slander tushie side. Overall it's a great place. ๐Ÿ‘ it's close to the base and right on the freeway. The noise from the hiway doesn't bleed into the hotel.

Close to the I-5 and easy to find. It is your typical extended stay hotel, so it doesn't have the regular vacation amenities but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant but not always the most helpful.

The hotel staff are phenomenal. I sincerely cannot express how kind, tolerant and quickly they are willing to help. So refreshing. The grounds are nicely kept with plenty of space for pets. The rooms are great. Laminate flooring and sparkling clean. Full refrigerator and double flat top. No weird burns on toilet seats. No crusty carpets in the room. This is bare bones with fine quality where needed most: friendly staff and nice appointed rooms. *This is in Lakewood but far quieter than some other non-mentionable hotels off Hosmer and Pacific Hwy. Thank you WoodSprings.

This hotel has some of the most kind and considerate staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They really go the extra mile to make sure your stay here is enjoyable. Nancy is a great no nonsense manager that keeps this place in order. Francis, Krista, Calvin, and all of the other front desk staff are so courteous and helpful. Josh is so sweet and does a great job not only keeping this place well maintained he'll even help you if your walker is starting to fall apart. The cleaning staff work very hard and keep this place spotless. While Lakewood can be a really rough neighborhood, the staff here make you feel safe and secure. This hotel really is heads and shoulders above the competition.

Omg! This is the smelliest place I've ever been to. The hallway stunk so bad I almost threw up. I had to hold my breath and cover my nose. Weird stinky smell in the room and the bathroom. The tv didn't even work. They had a ghetto black clock that some of the numbers were missing. There were bums hanging outside smoking weed and cigarettes. Just gross. They should never let pets come here. Smelled like someone's dog ๐Ÿ• dookied all over the place. Honestly, the rating doesn't even deserve a 1. Looks like the homeless people hang out and feel at home here. I don't hate homeless people. I'm just trying to help you picture the scenario.
