I love the aesthetic of the building, very nice art deco. The usual issue for buildings in this area is a lack of parking and how it is generally unsafe outside daylight hours.

I was here for work, but in the short time I was there, I was very impressed with the artistry in the interior. Well preserved and maintained, I felt like I stepped back in time about 80 years just walking through the lobby!

It's the headquarters of Slalom Consulting! Need I say more? Seriously, though, even if you don't work in the building, check out the two eateries on the first floor. Bar Taglio and Cafe Hitchcock are good.

Dive bar ❤️ Just started working nearby by. This is definitely my new after work dive. Cool staff, good energy, good pricing.

Beautiful architecture! Just stunning. It is open to the public. For disabled folks like myself you can use the elevators here to help with making it up to 2nd St from the ferry.

Clean building and friendly staff. The coffee shops are both wonderful. The building was built in 1930. The building has been updated in a lot of ways, but the original details still shine through.

Using an app for building access is super annoying. Never had a single card issue in 10 years, but today I got locked in the stairwell due to the app not working.

I worked in the Exchange Building for 14 years, from 2004 to 2018. Some great art deco elements in the lobbies. Excellent downtown location equidistant between the market and the stadiums.

Worked there early 2000s, LOVED the art deco style and lobby especially in the holidays. Beautiful building!

The Exchange Building is a beautiful building with a vaulted, art-deco lobby, complete with a "telephone" room without a phone. The seasonal holiday tree smells like it may have been around since 1930 (but still pretty), and if you put your coffee on the little shelf at the elevators to push the button, make sure it doesn't slowly slide off.

Access through Cafe Hitchcock on 1st. You can't go in from 2nd but you can use the elevator and exit on 2nd. Crying shame because the art deco inspired lobby is one of the most beautiful in Seattle. Someday.
