Gun counter manager has horrible customer service skills!! I called looking for a specific ammo that the gentlemen helping me said they had 15 boxes in stock with no limit on how many you can purchase. Perfect, I started my long trek down there. Get there and the associate helping me said he was able to find 1 box. When I explained I talked to someone that said they had 15 he told me they did but they don’t sell them unless you buy a gun in that caliber. I told him I understand their reasoning for that but explained that I called to clarify any restrictions before driving a long way to get there. I asked if I could talk to the person that could authorize me to buy 1 or even 2 more boxes. He took me over to the manager that was super confrontational right from the start, not letting me explain my situation and just saying no we aren’t selling it and threatened to take the one box I already had. After seeing he was not going to help I walked away understandably irritated. Away from the counter I was talking to my wife saying how I will leave a bad review about the horrible customer service from the manager. I asked another associate if I could get the managers name (for this review) and he got completely irrational with me saying “NO! I am not giving you his name and if you want to leave us a bad review you can give back the one box you got.” Following me all the way up to the cashier harassing my family and I about me wanting to leave a bad review. Definitely not what I expected from a mom and pop shop. I’ll spend my hard earned money at other stores that value any level of customer service.

Great prices, friendly faces, fast service and a huge inventory. If you need it, they've got it. EDIT: I'll leave my original review to let people know I originally walked out happy with what I bought because I was told it would work and I could mount my scope with it without a problem. Well, I dry mounted the scope and brought it in to the shop to have them fix my mistakes, I could obviously tell it was not properly mounted. Unfortunately I was told it was fine, that they would not mount it for me, that I had done just fine. Well, I got a second opinion. Sportsman's mounted it for 15 bucks and told me what I had done wrong. Now that I know what I did wrong, it's obvious to me that I have been taken advantage of at Gunnies. Sold expensive and improper equipment. My next gun's gonna have really cool and expensive mounting bases...but it won't be bought from Gunnies. If you know what you're doing, great shop...but for people new to the sport go somewhere else.

Had a custom gun sent to Gunnies for pick up, I called to see if they ha received it and there response was “have we called you? No…then we haven’t received it”. I called manufacturer and they shipped it out a week earlier and Gunnies received it the next day. I was not only going to buy ammo for this gun but 2 other guns I just purchase and some other gun related items. I will never buy anything from them again!!

My visit today was an absolute joke! I walked in and waited at the counter for 6 to 8 minutes while an employee walked around drinking his coke and listening in on fellow employee conversations with customers. When this guy decided to help someone he walks past me and helps the guy that just walked in. I spoke up and said I've been waiting for a while. I asked for Daniel Defense Fixed Iron sights and was handed a rifle, then was told they don't exist. While another employee pointed out that they do and handed them to this guy. I was then checked up on while PAYING for them at the counter as if I may have been trying to steel them. Man, I make a lot of money to try and steal anything... What a joke this store is almost every time I come in.

Worst attempted gun buying experience. Went in the man at the gun counter was helping a couple no other customers were at or near there, I was looking at the guns through the glass while I waited. A gentleman came up clearly after I did and as soon as the employee was finished with the couple, he started helping the guy instead of me, when I was only 5ft away and I know he saw me I was waiting at least 10 minutes to be helped and never left the counter. I will never ever go back there. I went to Ready Gunner excellent experience there. Was helped there by a couple of really nice knowledgeable guys who made my gun buying (bought 2) experience fantastic! Do better with female customers Gunnies. We love guns too!

Excellent customer service, and honest good deals even when other gun shops are screwing and ripping off gun owners. Last time I went in i over heard one of their employees helping a new gun owner pick out a cc pistol and he was very honest, helpful, and the prices are great especially in this market. When so many gun shops are ripping off customers and lying to people to make bigger sales this shop is a very refreshing place to go and see honest old fashioned local shop still running strong. Everyone should support them 🔥

I like most everything about this place. But they are not consistent on their hours. I’m sitting in their parking lot at 5:35 and they just shut the gate, said everywhere online and on their own building they closed at 6 today. I get you want to go home, but be consistent for those who traveled to get to your store. Taking todays purchase to another store.

Such an amazing place! I’ve NEVERRRRR had better, safer, and more knowledgeable customer service at a gun store than when at Gunnies. I’ve been to many gun stores and have had interest/been around guns for much of my life. Gunnies is at the top of the list as one of the best gun stores I’ve ever been to. The employees genuinely know what they’re talking about, kindly offer guidance, as well their advice, and even bias, when asked. They focus solely on your needs and preferences, and don’t want you overpaying, especially if they have another option of equal quality. They’ll let you buy whatever you want because they’re a for-profit store, but they appear to do it hesitantly. They want what’s best for people and it shows. I can’t imagine buying from anywhere else. Their inventory has great range and is expanded upon by their online store. There prices are equal to or lower than everywhere else. And, in store, they appear to have just about everything you need. Once you get into specifics, they will order it for you or help you find it through other means.

The staff is very knowledgeable regarding everything from small, finicky AR parts to reloading accessories. Ammunition is never in short supply as they routinely make million plus dollar orders. A weekly sales flyer helps keep customers within budget.

Love this store, great selection and amazing prices. However some of the staff needs to be trained better on the pricing and lookup of items. I went there looking for a barrel for a new build. There was a barrel there that was not priced asked the employee if he could look it up for me. He came back telling me that the barrel was 430.00 when I asked him what the manufacture of the barrel was he told me a bear creek arsenal. I said to him but you have an 18" 223 Wylde bca barrel there for 136.00 and this is only 2" more. He then tried to tell how much machining went into making the 223 wylde caliber. I said understand that but not 300.00 more. I then showed him that they had the barrel on their website for 161.00. He said this is what we have it as and that is what we are selling for. I don't think that anyone is going to pay that amount for a bca barrel when you can get precision barrels for less than that. My assumption is that he was looking at the wrong item. But for him to be so stern on the pricing and not even double check and the level of customer service he offered was horrible. I left my items and went down the street to another well known area and purchased everything I needed. Big turn off when your employees are that way.

I had an amazing experience at Gunnies! The place was packed (day before Father's Day) and the line was moving smoothly! Guests were respectful and sales person Ron was friendly and knowledgeable! I gave him a picture of what I was looking for in terms of style, size and having a safety and 5 options were provided and the one that "spoke to me," (that's how I shop) was made immediately when the gun fit like a glove! Ron was super helpful in providing information and resources and a welcoming experience for me! I will definitely be coming back and bringing all my sister and ladies ready to use their 2nd Amendment Rights!

I love shopping here, the whole staff makes me feel welcome. I’m never without help at Gunnies. Not only do they have an amazing selection of guns and ammo but they have a wonderful clothing selection as well! But my favorite part by far is the wide variety of western boots they Carry!!!!

So my previous review gets taken down surprisingly never gotten a response i had bought my shotgun that literally said on the tag "$190" i brought it up to the counter the staff said he will be back than go checks back to their inventory, 20 minutes later or so he comes back with a box & first thing i noticed was that the priced changed from $190 to $245! when i took it to the clerk to buy.. it rang up to "$292"!! & some change.. That almost $300!! overpriced me forsure as well as promoting false advertising for a "Budget" Shotgun... smh that ridiculous not only that the staff was going to give me a pack of shotgun ammos that was $8 bucks a box as i was telling him ill have 2 for $8 box he than he than goes "but if you want a better quality i recommend this one" that was literally $10 a box like my whole point was to spend a budget shotgun for a budget price not over the budget!! smh

Willy needs a hair cut really bad. Awesome group of gun guys. Sold me a sweet AK this time. I will keep going back for more.

Good prices good service. Generally have a good selection. Most ammo selection I can find anywhere. I live Farley south but go up there to find my ammo.

Gunnies has a great assortment of guns and probably the best stocked in utah on ammunition. Tons of reloading supplies, magazines and parts. I saw several posts complaining about the wait. My recommendation is to look on Google to see when they are less busy. They have a ton of help at the counter and the staff is very knowledgable, but they can be VERY busy at times. Watch the monthly specials. They usually have some really great deals.

Wanted to buy my weapon from Gunnies and called several times to see if they had what I wanted in stock but someone in the Gun Department kept picking up the line and then hanging up without ever talking to me. Guess I'll be finding another gun shop to buy my weapons and ammunition from.

I am from out of state and the people seem very friendly and accommodating.They go out of their way to try and help you with what ever it is you may need.Lots of guns and ammo, Nice selection of outerwear.Prices are a lot lower then in Ohio on guns $50-$100 in most cases.I really enjoy my time in the store.

I live near the store, and have always gone to it for bullets, some clothing, and several gun purchases etc. The staff are always nice and helpful, they always have a good selection, and the only times where service may be considered sub-par is when the store is simply extremely busy, and they do the best they can. I can recommend Gunnies to anyone, whether for a purchase, or even a fun look around.

It’s a bit of a hike from Salt Lake City, but I love coming here because: 1: Enormous and wide variety of products for every type of firearms enthusiast 2: Knowledgeable employees 3: Great prices And, out of all the shops in the area, they’re the only ones who understood the process for civilian GSSF coupon holders to make a Glock Blue Label purchase I would highly recommend gunnies!

This place is a relatively small business, and they definitely make their customers feel valued. When purchasing NFA items from them, they make the paperwork a breeze, are attentive, and communicate well. I will definitely be using them over the larger stores.

bought a 300 win mag Franchi . I have had problems right out of the box. The ammo will not feed correctly. Contacted Franchi, customer service did not get back to me. Have to wait util next week. Gunnies is a great store but Franchi is a poor rifle.

Great place to do some outdoors shopping. All the employees are very knowledgeable about any gear they have in the store. Also if you’re military or any type of first responder always ask about discounts on any gear you’re purchasing. They have some awesome and unknown discounts I’ve learned.

I needed to return a gun case and i lost the receipt and the tag and paid with apple pay (which makes it near impossible to locate the card holder/transaction). It was a REAL hassle. The manager patiently put in a lot of effort and was determined to find a solution to my problem. She went out of her way to make sure I got my refund and after a lot of searching I got it! Outstanding customer service!

This is my favorite gun store in the entire Utah valley. They have just about everything, including big names, as well as more affordable brands. Tons of reloading supplies, just about everything you could need for shooting as a sport, or self protection. This is an amazing store that is definitely worth visiting, just to walk around.
