I went to Mystic Hills for a wine painting class they held. I had never been here and I was highly impressed! The owners and staff were extremely friendly and responsive to all of us ( there were probably 30 people or so.) It looks like a really sweet place to stay and their food and drinks were tasty and decently priced. It's tucked away in the hills and even though it was dark, I could tell the views were gorgeous. Will definitely be checking it out again next summer.

We drove from Maine to SD for my brothers wedding which was held at Mystic Hills Campground. They did not disappoint, great staff and owners, great camper lots, great cabins and a super great wedding! The location allowed for the whole family and friends to stay in one place between cabins and camper lots, which was important because family was mostly from ME or MN. Ty you Shawn and Julie #destination wedding

Great campground. Newer owners are working on making improvements to entire campground. Only issue was our fire pit needed to be moved more to the middle of our site. It was at the rear & too close to our fuel tank on camper to safely have a fire. Beautiful area & owners & staff friendly. Felt right at home when in cafe/general store just visiting with them.

A group of us stayed here for 4 nights and booked 3 of the large pull through sites. Upon our arrival our sites were clean and ready for us. Unfortunately due to prior long term customers, 2 of the 3 sites had not received the new gravel and extra attention the surrounding sites had. Not a huge deal, but it did make them a bit messy when the storms rolled in. The sites themselves were good size and really easy to get our 40'+ toy haulers into and out of. This is one of the only campgrounds we noticed while riding that was actually in the trees, not out in a wide open grassy field. That was a huge plus to our group. We did eat in the restaurant one time, and it was your average bar style food, good, but nothing great. It was a rainy evening, so it was packed, but the service was slow. All the workers were busy, not being lazy at all and they were very friendly, just seemed to be short staffed. Owner spoke to our group a couple of times as he was making his rounds on the camp ground and he was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we were very pleased with this campground and its location/amenities. We will be staying at Mystic Hills on our next Black Hills visit for sure.

We stayed in the RV campground. The site was level, gravel, and had a fire ring and picnic table. The restaurant is great! The people running the campground and restaurant were friendly and always helpful! The campground is close to trails. Deadwood is about 10 miles down the road. Mount Rushmore is about half an hour away.

We rented UTVs from them on our vacation. When we got there, we talked to a gal who was very unfriendly and you could tell she did not want to be there. The actual functionality of the machines were spot on and we had a great time. The night before it had rained 3 inches so there were lots of mud and puddles. We did get dirty so we decided to wash them to help out the employees. Once we got back at the end of the day the gal from that morning inspected them for damaged. She was extremely rude and pushy and ending up charging us another $50 because two out of 3 of the machines we rented had 3-5 rows of the radiator plugged. It literally took them 1-2 minutes as we stood and talked to her while another guy hosed the radiators out. She also said she was tracking us on the map as to where we were all day. It felt like an invasion of privacy. Overall not impressed with the employees here. Will not be renting again.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The sites are gravel and level. Our site was small, but most of them were decent sized. Full hookups. Our power did go off the first day for about 15 minutes, but it came back in n and we had no further issues. They have Wifi that works in the lodge and cabins, but not at the campground. We have T-Mobile which worked great, we noticed that there is a cell tower close to the campground. We ate burgers for dinner our first night and the were good, and had their breakfast sandwiches for breakfast the next morning and those were really yummy. This is a quiet campground for the most part, a lot of people use atv and it’s and leave from this park, but most of the time they are respectful of not using them at night. They also have cows that roam through there and we had a pile of cow poop to navigate around while we were trying to hookup to leave which was a little frustrating. Overall this is a great, quiet, off of the road campground and was a great place to have as a base camp while going and seeing the sights.

Very Friendly and Welcoming Staff! Had the opportunity to meet the new owners Julie and Shawn. They have recently taken over the Mystic Hills and pride themselves on providing a nice place for campers to stay. They have short term and long term spots with full hook ups. One of the biggest perks of this place is that they have a cell tower within their property. If having a cell signal is important for you, look no further! Book your stay here! Inside their lodge is also a dining facility. Peggy kept our dining and beverage needs met, while Alyssa wow’d us with her milkshakes! Definitely going to come back here again in the future! Thanks for making our stay a memorable and enjoyable one!!
