Love sports? Then this is the hotel to be staying at. Great fully equipped gym, Olympic sized pool (can get crowded), tennis courts, running track all in a very big, green and well maintained compound. Close to some tourist spots as well. Rooms aged well, no maintenance issues and clean. All in all a very good value if on sale.

The location was perfect, walking distance to Masjid Istiqlal and Lapangan Banteng. Nice clean room, and other facilities within the complex were amazing: super-big swimming pool with some part deep enough for me to exercise freediving, tennis courts, jogging track, and little park for little nephews playing. The food was awesome! The staffs were friendly and they have Takbiran Parade event to celebrate Eid. And the view from the room: phenomenal! Dont forget to see the miniature of Borobudur temple (as in the name) in the park.

It has been almost four years since our last visit to Hotel Borobudur Jakarta. The room hasn’t changed much, but the garden and restaurants have been upgraded. It was lovely to see the improvements. The ponds near the Singosari restaurant have been replaced by a garden, and the new fountain is fantastic. This hotel offers an amazing escape in the heart of the city, and the swimming pool is simply stunning. We absolutely loved it. The staff were wonderful—so much so that even the pool staff remembered us! That says a lot about how much they care for their guests. I'd like to say, it definitely worth the price!

We went with our family and booked 5 rooms. The hotel lobby decorated nice and pretty. But the room regrettably is not that good. The antislip mat in our room is moldy. The lamp above the sink has some kind of decorarions which also moldy. The other room where our sister stayed in, has little pieces of broken glass in the bathroom which is not easily visible and caused a scratch on her feet. Our bathroom also has big towels, but there was no hand/face towel. And there was no shower cap too. I don't know if this is the regulation in here or did they just happen to forget to put them in our room. Part of the tiles in our room also broken, but it was covered by the carpet. So it's not dangerous and didn't bother us too much. But you can feel it when you step on it, making click-clack sound and rough. The parking lot is quite far from the lobby, so make sure to drop your baggage and your family first in the lobby then proceed to park your car. The positive side of the room, it's quite spacious and we can easily put the suitcases around. The hotel location also great and near mall and restaurants. The breakfast has many varieties and one of the best breakfast I had.

The Borobudur emerged from the former Intercontinental Hotel Jakarta and looks back on a history of over 50 years. Its celebrity guests have included Princess Diana and King Charles. This raises high expectations. The entrance is impressive, it looks like an old-fashioned 5-star hotel. The entrance area is lavishly decorated for Christmas. The check-in was flawless and the stay in the adjoining lounge area with its huge windows overlooking the garden was impressive. But this was also the first disappointment: a normal cappuccino costs 7 dollars. At first glance, the room looks harmonious, and the thick carpet supports this impression. However, maintenance deficiencies such as water damage or poorly repaired silicone joints soon became apparent - I can do better than that myself. There was no cappuccino at breakfast, there was simply no milk left. Sharp screw tips from the neighbouring cubicle could be found in the public toilet. The hygiene behind the counter in the kettle area was not worthy of a 5* hotel. The cakes on offer in the small patisserie are very nice. And nobody can complain about one thing: the pool with its Olympic dimensions is breathtaking. Conclusion: What bothered me most was the lack of personal attention, which I know from good hotels. Especially at breakfast, you quickly had the feeling of being in a tourist.

One of the best luxury hotel in Jakarta that very accessible for children. Stayed one night there. We got compliment birthday cake. A huge swimming pool for adult and kids. There are some tennis court free one hour for guests (court only), jogging track, playground. Kids indoor area. A spacious room with bathtub. Delicious food and easy accessed cause near to Lapangan Banteng, Monas and Istiqlal area. Better have a direct reservation from the hotel than any others platform cause we can get a cheaper price.

They say Old but I say Gold. An old 5 stars hotel building means they build it very well. Jogging track is great. Swimming pool is cool. Gym also nice

That old hotel has some serious history behind it. I've heard the rooms are amazing, with a real vintage feel. The restaurant there is supposed to be top-notch. Their oxtail dish is legendary, apparently slow-cooked to perfection. Definitely adding this place to my must-visit list.
