OK for the gala theatre for culture or 5 bars - weatherspoons, kaite obrian, slug and lettuce etc and a few food places

I still think it has destroyed the look of Durham, but it's accessible and Lloyds bar is good value.

Probably one of the best Wetherspoons in the North East, The Bishops Mill. All on one level too so no major hike to the toilet. Champagne bar is also great.

Walkergate is long overdue and isn't open yet due to the collapse of the construction contractor. Apparently the County Council have taken it over so hopefully progress will begin again. Looks about 98% complete.

Great variety of places to eat and also the Cinema. Nice outdoor sitting areas and views of the castle and cathedral. Often the eateries have special offers to take advantage of at all times of the day. Highly recommended.

I'll be honest. it's my first time here & it definitely won't be my last, plenty of shops and just a general buzz about the area. Then we found the wetherspoons 🫑🍻, although it was very busy we still found pretty decent seats. We were served very quickly ,The staff were all very nice and a credit to the pub chain..Toilets were very clean & tidy, simply cant fault it at all, i will get pics nxt time around.. βœ¨οΈπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

So, I went on a Friday night to be asked for an entry fee to a weatherspoon! Never have I ever had to pay to get into a weatherspoon! Loads of people walked away after seeing this fee.... Went the next day for breakfast, and it took 10 mins after ordering....it was cold, and onlver cooked with a square eggthe toast wasn'tevent tosted full! The hash browns weren't even brown! If it was cooked fresh, it would be a little longer than 10 mins as it was busy, so all the stuff must have been warm stored to serve! I wouldn't recommend this spoons to eat or drink on a Friday or a Saturday!
