I don’t know if it’s a new chef as the menu has changed but normally really enjoy the chicken and ribs combo which isn’t available anymore. Ordered pizza, big mistake! Pizza had a pool of grease in middle which I had to use a bit of paper to soak up but mainly the crusts we’re absolutely cremated black!! Sorry but where are the standards sending this out to a paying customer?😠😠really disappointed normally lovely from here as we come regularly but it’s clear standards are non existent now! Wish I never bothered coming, I’m no chef but I’d be embarrassed sending that out to a paying customer.

Please ignore silly name but had a lovely night at the highwayman great value for money and lovely hospitality and service from Chloe! Very friendly and made a very welcoming atmosphere to myself and my girlfriend. Also was great recommending drinks to us and being a great hostess to a brilliant night. Look forward to returning !! The food was lovely and tasty. Donna the team coach made sure we were welcomed and had a good experience, she was lovely and a laugh. I'm on holiday but I'll be back next time I'm here.

Great value meal at the Sizzling Grill - served by Donna who was both friendly and helpful. Wife had Jerk Skewers and loved them! I had triple club sandwich. Both filling and good quality considering the low prices. Guinness was decent too!

Second time this week here, food is always spot on and staff are so friendly and helpful. Back tomorrow (28th) for a Halloween Event. Hoping the lovely Donner is working as she always gives 100% and joining in with fun, games and dressing up to entertain the kids.

The food was lovely, well cooked and came out in good time. The staff ( Andrew, Alex and Joanne) were all truly lovely and very patient. It was a big celebration for a big table and the team really looked after us very well

We used the vouchers from O2 and Kelsey served us our drinks and took the food order. The kitchen was meant to be closed but Jamie said he'd be happy to cook our meal and we were very greatful. The views are also amazing and I feel sad it's taken me this long to visit. Looking forward to the next trip

We have again had our granddaughter's eighth birthday party for our family. This is our family tradition to go their, every year as the food is good, staff are great and its reasonably priced. Our grandchildren love it. We will be back again next year

Nice clean atmosphere, friendly staff who gave excellent service. Food was nice and even better on the Black Friday deal

Your typical Sizzlers pub with a different layout. Good sized bar area at the front, lounge dining area at the rear, on a steep bank so if you're lucky enough to get a window seat you should get a good view. The meals that came out looked really good, especially the fish and chips, it takes a good chef to get the batter brown and crispy right round the fish.

Our food order and numerous drinks orders were taken at the bar by Donna. She was such a character. So friendly and funny. She really did make our visit memorable.

SHOUT OUT Just had a lovely light lunch can highly recommend BLT Wrap and Crispy Haloumi wrap with chips don’t usually do chips but whole light lunch was BEAUTIFUL With a free soft drink for that price worth treating yourself Short staffed but would never have known as meal came so quick. Thank you to Joanne manageress who was in the kitchen as her chef off and to Donna who was keeping front of house ticking over and the friendly other young lady on duty. See you all again soon J & D

We booked a large table for a birthday & Donna was an absolute delight, she’s an absolute credit to the company. More Donna’s in the world is restaurants please.

We went spur of moment had surf and turf was nice then had a sundae my partner had cheesecake both good, prices good too staff friendly so no complaints

Nice setting, well cooked food, FANTASTIC SERVICE. Our server, Donna, has such a bubbly and friendly personality and made our meal special, her easy going approach made us all relaxed, her humour and recommendations for food was fantastic.

Visited for lunch. Not too busy. Didn't wait too long for food. £20 for two main courses and two drinks was quite a reasonable price for Scampi and grilled chicken with fries. Staff very friendly.

Customer service is outstanding, I was served by Donna and what an amazing lady she is, she went above and beyond to make sure our visit was enjoyable.

Not been for a while and can only say delighted with the new menu. As it it was a week day lunch We opted for 2 for 9.49 menu and was lovely and we really enjoyed. Will be back there soon

Maggie and charis were amazing!! Food was served on time and pizza was very cheesy! And delicious 😀 l pay with my go Henry card . And I enjoyed the music ! And the Pepsi max was very fizzy and refreshing!

small portions, even the kids (2&6) were still hungry. food was ok, but nothing to recommend... service was poor. ordered a strawberry house soda, apparently there was no syrup to make it, there was an almost full bottle behind the bar. it was awfully hot in the restaurant area, weather had not been hot at all. table was sticky.

The service was excellent from Donna, she always makes sure we are all catered for (including my very fussy child). She is very professional and friendly, always making our visits great. Food is always lovely too.

This place is great value as kids meals are currently only £1 with each adult meal which totally helps us having three kids 😅 Good food, great pricesand friendly staff Window seats also have cracking view over Tyne

Went today for Christmas lunch never again plates were like child size even pushed a gravy boat onto it paper pot with granberry sauce in it come on Christmas day I was a head chef for 8 years at the runhead I was shocked we were rushed terrible table not cleared away Christmas crakers dirty gravy boats still on the table when deserts came they were mixed up .further more we were told tables had cancelled so they were not rushed off there feet ..

Nice view from the dining area and car park. Orderd a rump steak etc. Food was hot sizzling and lovely. Clean tidy. Can't wait to go back for another filling.

Lovely pub with good tasting food. Great view of the city of newcastle. Can be a bit noisy if more than half full. Plenty of space around our table. Portion sizes not the biggest around but cheaper here than others around the area. Staff very pleasant but seem rushed. Will visit again and try something else on the menu. Would recommend.

Came for lunch on Saturday.everything was brilliant. All staff were welcoming and attentive and food was lovely, nicest salad I have had. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
