we had the vegan three course dinner, which was lovely. we pared all the meals with a glass of croatian wine which the waiter recommended and matched perfectly. if you want to have a good seating in the more opened area, make a reservation an tell them your preferencese before your visit.

Great fine dining place, definitely fair price. Really liked the romantic atmosphere. Things I liked: - fresh pasta - veal tartar (in my opinion the best dish on the menu) Comments: - asked for regular water, got a bottle and charged for it. *WATER SHOULD BE FREE* and if it doesn’t, IT SHOULD BE MENTIONED, that’s why I gave 2 stars. - lemon tart isn’t a traditional lemon tart (didn’t like it much)

We had a wonderful, memorable meal here in May 2023. We had read that the cheese and charcuterie plate is great. It is. For a main, we had the duck, which comes with delicate vegetable purees and roasted carrots and grapes. We also had the salad with roasted vegetables. Everything was excellent.

Not an ideal place for two men unless you want to pay the most expensive meal of your life without any chance to go to bed, as you are two men in a couples restaurant. -taste&quantity: indifferent taste of food I had duck and if you ask me to close my eyes and tell you what I am eating I can easily say a street food in China Town. Small portion and you have to order extra for fries -price: ridiculously expensive is not in the Royal Gardens to pay 39€ for duck, fries and one wine (8€ for a tasteless wine) -service: below average, there was an available table (no reservation) for 2 people and the waiter said you cannot take it as we have booked you another one -atmosphere: only live music was good...we were sitting with view to a fridge. The place doesn't worth the money you spend. Unacceptably expensive.

Went there for a quick lunch. The risotto was excellent and the tuna steak also tasted great. The wine tasted very nice with the food. We got some bread and olive oil with the food also. The olive oil was so good that we bought a bottle as a gift from the shop across the street. Probably the best restaurant so far on this vacation. Truly recommend it if you want to have an excellent food experience.

If you want to have a nice conversation with your friends: don’t go there. If you want to have a very good dinner: go there. Food was excellent. Unfortunately we sat right next to the singer, which made any conversation impossible. Even without the live music the small room seems to be very loud.

This place was amazing. The food was incredible. I've never tried tuna steak, but it was cooked perfectly and it was the best meal I had all holiday, we had a nice salad and potato side dish; all tasted and seasoned perfectly. Cheese platter starter was also very nice. Live music was good too. The only downside was the portions could have been bigger. But it was enough as we had the cheese platter starter, if you just had a meal it won't be enough. We were placed on the entrance by the window and it is a busy strip and you do have people walking straight past your table. Would definitely go again though because it was some of the best food I've had in Croatia.

Amazing dinner! The pasta (duck rillette and the truffle spaghetti), the lamb, and the salmon were top notch! The service was incredible and the atmosphere was fabulous with a singer and guitar player that had such a great voice! In short, a must in Split 🤩

This place was wonderful. My date and I went and wanted to get some wine and dinner… and beyond great food and wine (locally sourced!), the amazingly knowledgeable and friendly waiter gave us the complete rundown on where the wines came from/what made them different/etc… helping us find out perfect wine and dinner choices. We will be back—and this has become instantly our favorite Split spot. 💜

Recommended by a friend and didn’t disappoint. Nestled in the heart of the old town / palace Zinfandel was a real delight. Diverse menu with something for everyone (albeit no specific kids’ menu). Seafood risotto, beef rib and pan fried Hama were delicious. Great wine selection. Knowledgable staff and live music!

The fries and wine were great! We went because of overwhelmingly positive reviews. One of the dishes (flank steak salad) was bathed in vinegar and the meat was overcooked. The seared tuna was well prepared and accompanying veggies were a great fit. Wines and food is quite pricey, especially for the value/ quality

Good quality food with helpfull staff with a good knowledge of local wines to match the meals. A fun local with a wine bar style atmosphere. The lamb ragout & tuna tartar where ideal.

We had an incredible night at Zinfandel Food & Wine Bar on a Monday night. The service was fantastic. Everyone was very nice and helpful. And most important, the food was incredible! We got the tuna tartar to start, and the duck, fillet, slow cooked beef ribs and pan seared Hama. Everything was delicious. Really one of our best meals of the trip. I highly recommend eating here during your visit to Split!

Lovely food, an amazing atmosphere, great wine and charming, knowledgeable staff. Fantastic experience. The price was good for the quality of drinks and food but not on the cheap end. Would highly recommend as a treat or for a special occasion!

Nice spot to have dinner in the center of the old town, live music, friendly staff and good food. We got to try the plankton risotto which was amazing💯, very tasty… Otherwise the Hama File was good but the sweet base made a strong contrast with the salty fish… not my favorite but it depends on your what you like❤️ recommend the rest👍🏻💕

Good wine bar with a wide selection, didn’t try the food but it looked good too. Only thing I don’t like is the pours here (and in Croatia in general) are a bit small: 0.125 liters compared to 0.175 in Italy / Greece / other countries

Amazing food and wine! Perfect for groups or for Date! We were there twice in the Same Week and it was so amazing!!!

What a lovely hidden gem in Split! Cozy decor and live(!) music definitely made up for the fact that there wasn't any daylight coming in at the area in the restaurant that we were sitting in. Staff was friendly, food was wonderful. We ordered the charcuterie board and tuna tartare for starters and for the main course, we had the hama filet and tuna steak. We were with a group of 9 people and they managed to serve us well (all had our food simultaneously!). It isn't the cheapest place to go, but it is definitely worth it because I really enjoyed the food.

Tasty wine, good food, but expensive. charcuterie plate was fantastic. Great wine and drink selection.

We loved the food and the service was extremely nice and thoughtful. We had a picky kid with us and the kitchen adjusted by making some plain pasta, so a big thanks for that. Also they gave the dog water! Overall great experience.

Great service, and great ambiance with the live music on a Sunday evening. We ordered the mussels and the veal tartar for starters. I think the broth of the mussel dish could have been less alcoholic, but the mussels were cooked perfectly. The veal tartar could use more condiments on the side. For mains, we had the huge lamb shank and the duck breast. I enjoyed the lamb very much, lovely potato puree. The duckbreast was too salty, but it was perfect the second time around. Good wine pairing, but a little too expensive (~€8 a glass). Nice first diner in Croatia.

Food was exceptional! Loved the live music and romantic atmosphere. Eva who serves us had amazing energy and an extensive knowledge of the food and wine. She listened to what we liked and made perfect suggestions. Liked it so much we tried to go again but it was booked. I would definitely book in advance before going. I can’t believe this is number 15 on trip adviser as we looked at others in top ten - In terms of value of service this is hard to beat. It felt like fine dining but with an affordable price tag. I can not speak more highly of the venue, food, wine and our waitress Eva! I work in hospitality in London and her service was first class in my experience

My partner and I had a great experience at Zinfandel, looked after by Stefan. We did the wine tasting which consisted of one white wine and two reds, plus a small plate of matched meat and cheese. We also ordered the veal tartare which was PHENOMENAL. We grabbed a few extras glasses of wine after that, too - because why not :D Can definitely recommend for a great place to try to local wines in an friendly and inviting environment. Will 100% come back next time we are in Split.

My husband and I were in Split on a cruise stop. We did a wine tasting with Eva and she was absolutely wonderful! She was so knowledgeable about the wines and she was incredibly friendly! The food was also amazing, especially the fresh pasta. Thank you to Eva for making our short time in Split a great and memorable one!!

A place and taste to remember. Every bite was prepared with love and greatest respect to ingredients. The staff super friendly and helpful. Even, if I didn’t have a reservation, the crew did her best to make a table for dinner possible.

Food was amazing and a must visit. Live music was a perfect cap off to a perfect dinner. Make sure to get reservations

Amazing introduction to Croatian wine. Our guide Miloš was amazing and walked us through where our wines were produced, what made the growing seasons special in Croatia and the history of each vineyard. The meats, cheeses, and shrimp salad paired with the tasting were all perfect. We loved it so much we ordered more and asked Miloš for his favorite Plavac Mali or “son of Zinfandel” recommendation and it was also amazing. If you have one place to eat and taste Croatian wine in Split this should be the place.

I participated in their restaurant week lunch menu which was very good. The ambience inside was nice and the service was terrific.

Would visit again and try other food. I had the ravioli and pancetta potatoes which were both really flavoursome and delicious! However my partner had the duck risotto which was a little disappointing especially considering what we’ve had elsewhere in the city. The duck breast with bulgar looked fab. Live music was good and staff were informative & friendly. Note: the wine tasting ends at 5pm and the music starts about 8pm.

Great place to eat in Split. The food was delicious. We tried veal tartar, tuna tartar, home made ravioli and spaghetti. The cannoli for dessert paired with Croatian muscat wine was divine. The wine selection is amazing. This is the best place to try out great Croatian wines. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about wines.

Tjedan restorana review - restaurant has really nice decoration and ambient. Guy on guitar was playing and singing, waiters were super friendly. Food nicely decorated and presented. Veal tartar was amazing, tuna steak at first looked like undercooked but with combination of sauce it was perfectly balanced. Desert chocolate mousse top nothing to add. Looking forward to come again. :)

It's hard to ask for more. The food is fantastic. Be that homemade ravioli, a perfectly cooked duck or a surprisingly tasty lemon tart. The service, and knowledge of wine is top notch and the ambience with live music was perfectly soulful. Just go there already.

👍👍 The wings were bbq style saucy and a little spicy. I love spicy so I asked for hot sauce and the waiter brought over a trio of their own signature hot sauces.
