A girl who appeared to work here (although not wearing a Charlie’s t-shirt) lay her hands on me in order to get me to move. When asking me to stand from one side of the alleyway to the other (literally 3 steps difference) when waiting for my friend to wee inside she did not wait two second before placing her hand on my back and physically pushing me. Not okay, no matter how drunk somebody is, never okay to physically touch someone to move them. I was not drunk but fully aware of my surroundings, I am a reasonable person and would have happily moved the 3 steps without being pushed int he direction.

SHOCKING! ordered a litre bucket of mojito, was shocked at how bland it is, literally taste like ice water. Went back to the bar and was told that they were out of sugar. Can’t believe any bartender would serve a drink as shamelessly as this. Professional ethics is nothing to this place. (other customers were also complaining about the cheap liquor they used as it got more famous). 2 stars instead of 1 because they made me a tequila sunrise instead.

Never a dull moment in this place. You could go in alone and come out with many new friends easily. This little place is where you go to be guaranteed a great evening and night. And I must add that Sam most definitely made mine and my friends nights always amazing here too with his dance moves and chats!

Could not recommend this place enough. I was supposed to be in split for 3 days and thanks to Charlie's and everyone from the bar and hostel upstairs (Fiesta Siesta), I ended up hanging around for three months! Walked in to the bar alone as a first time solo traveller, and left (very reluctantly) a part of the big happy Charlie's family! An awesome bar, in an incredible part of the world. Do yourself a favour, and go straight for a bucket of tequila sunrise, you won't regret it!

Max is the best bartender ever! From the minute he pours you a drink you can’t help but being obsessed with Charlie’s. Everyone who meets Max loves him! What he lacks in height he makes up for in bartending skills :)

The bar is cool and the service nice. Like all backpackers pubs depends who you run into, we were unlucky, they were a bunch of British ppl. Also a bit on the expensive side.

Best vibe in Croatia! As the prices are super reasonable it attracts a down to earth clientele, its very easy to just chat to people there, not pretentious, great atmosphere. Charlie's bar is the place to be in split!

The 3 of us wanted to go to this place, but when we arrived we where pushed away. The girl from the bar told us to walk on if we did not want to come in. We where just standing in the street. Later when we where just walking through she was in the same state. Pushing people who didnt go in her club right away. Dont go here. They are NOT NICE! She also told us that she would smash our speaker on the ground, which was not even turned on. Go to Funky Georgy on the other end of the street.

Great, buzzing vibe. It was packed when we visited and there was a bridal shower taking place, which ended in one of them breaking a glass of wine. The music was good. Gets busy later on in the night, and a bit cramped up for space. Cutting one star because our whiskey sour was too sweet. Lara was kind, and told us about their late night parties.

We had a great evening here. However, the the white bouncer with dreadlocks from Australia was very aggressive and unprofessional. Everyone else here was lovely. I don't expect anything to come from this review, but I hope anyone reading looks out for this unpleasant individual.

Good atmosphere in the evening and exciting night life. Brilliant central location. I thought the €20 minimum card payment was a swindle. In all my years I've never heard of such a thing. Regardless, they mix a good cocktail and have relatively clean toilets. I feel I was more than slightly ripped off when buying vodka with a mixer they gave me the MOST expensive vodka they had (totalling €50). I was not in a state to recognise my mistake and payed anyway, only realising the next day. So be careful of that. I would definitely still recommend this bar as I had a great time anyway. 6/10

Great bar staff who were able to recommend me a great cocktail that came in a BUCKET! They have a diverse shots menu which really turned the night into an absolute banger! Can't wait to make my way back to Charlies again! Thank you for making the night so much fun Nata!

This is a decent bar if you’re just in town for a short time. I think the price of the drinks represents the tourist appeal of the bar. They do have happy hour every day until 9pm, which is awesome, but it’s not that significant in a price difference. There are cheaper bars in old town, but the vibe of Charlie’s is worth checking out.

Came to Charley’s for a night out. Wow what an amazing place, Lara was our chaperone and helped us blend so well. We met her friends and had awesome drinking games. Definitely recommend it.

We came to the charlies at night. We spent a lot and every staff person was extremely mean and not friendly. My friends and i wanted to go outside get a cigarette as we are daily smokers. Cannot explain the frustration of being kicked out of the bar and had to re-do the 1 hour queue just because we wanted to smoke !???? Just do not let people enter it you don’t like them buying drinks and smoke. Ciao bad place, never coming back 😘

The staff are rude an entitled. One of them snatched my bottle of Fanta out of my hand and poured it down the sink- without even saying “you can’t have that in here”. Like snatched it out of my hand. So entitled. It’s acc such a bad and negative atmosphere, the drinks aren’t even cheap they just don’t sell them with mixer- you buy that seperate. Such a bad start to our time in split because of one rude entitled boy. Even the other staff members were shocked and were like what are you doing. So so mad.

Great location and friendly staff. In the beginning it was just a nice pub, but later it turned into a dancing place with LOTS of people. Was great to meet other foreigns as well. Only downside would be that you need cash there. Minimum card payment was 200kunas which is a lot for one purchase with two people.

Basically we went and took for more than 200€ of drinks. Just went smoking once and those extremely execrable people from the staff kicked us out. Last night, I lost my friends and passed this bar. It looked like a lot was happening. It was pretty loud and crowded. However, I bumped into this tall ginger Barbie. I think her name was Angela or Angelina. 🤔 I asked her what time it was. She replied "Shot o'Clock!". 🍻 This was the start of an epic night of fun. I, 100% would recommend to go to this bar and ask Angela/Angelina what time it is.

Super rude staff! We were looking for a place to watch the rugby world cup. When we walked in to ask if they're showing the game (no servers around so we ask the barstaff), we got scolded by the lady behind the bar and we were told "you have to ask everyone else what they want to watch." Wow, I wasn't asking to change the channel - but the staff really don't know how to communicate without getting aggressive. It's embarrassing for them.
