Vegetarians in steak restaurant ! Wasn’t very sure but we still went ahead given high rating of restaurant. Must tell you that we weren’t disappointed. Loved the pizzas . Great taste, great portions. Definitely a recommendation even if u are looking for vegetarian pizzas .

Fast table service. Good pizza and seafood. We didn't have the steak. Not expensive. Friendly staff. Lots of outdoor seating. Can get crowded at times. During holiday season reservations are advised.

So Bakra was a recommendation from the apartment owner we rented from. We are from Chicagoland and love pizza. We eat here four time on our vacation to split and if you like pizza and grilled meats this is our place. The service is top notch and the food is awesome. Loved everything we had but our go to was the spicy pizza. Check it out if your looking for a solid restaurant. Oh yeah the Mojito‘s are the best I’ve ever had in my life.

Very nice atmospher. Kind staff. The best food quality. The waiting time was a bit too much. The conditioner was dropping to our table and the we said to waiter but no reaction to change our place. The price is a bit high.

Energetic place with delicious meat, surprisingly good grilled seafood, cocktails and sharp staff. They have very good pizza with thin and crispy crust. Ribs and chicken wings are ok, a little bit tough. Cocktails are surprisingly good! Went back again, and had medium rare tuna steak and grilled prawns. They were surprisingly good! The temperature of the tuna steak was perfect. The prawns were fresh and perfectly grilled with natural sweetness. Very energetic vibe. Service is very good. Staff Toni is very sharp, attentive, and cool. We really enjoyed ourselves this place!

It's recommended to make a reservation, it's usually very busy. We had pizza and spicy chicken wings. The pizza was outstanding! Fresh homemade toppings, thin but chewy crust, and very good combination of ingredients. The chicken wings were mildly spicy, and the potatoes not store bought. All in all, delicious food! 👌🏼

Great little lunch spot! Try the homemade iced tea, it tastes like berry and is delicious. The Mexican pizza is great and the fries are mini fried potato slices which are worth ordering too. Great service and atmosphere.

We just had a wonderful meal here. We had a mixed platter of starters and a mixed platter of meats and a greek salad - it all was just awesome. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also 'just right' - for us anyway. Informal, lots of local people, nice interior design and good music. We highly recommend this place.

Superb. 🍸: Local wines, a couple of cocktails, other is pretty usual stuff 👨‍🍳: Service was super cool. Waiter was super friendly, funny and knowledgeable. They also offered us 30% discount (presumably because we were Croats as well) 🏡: Ambience is excellent. It has a modern industrial design with painted pictures of many Croatian artists, singers and famous people. Also their names are all around the place. Toilet is pretty cool too with sinks made out of beer barrels. 💰 Expensive, high price, but this is standard for Croatia’s coast 🥲 Bad things: Price 👍👎: Recommended highly if you can afford it

Fab little place! You’d never know from the entrance but this place is buzzing at the weekends. Very professional, quick and friendly wait staff. Had the peasant pizza with Greek salad. Everything came really quickly. Super tasty hot pizza and a beautiful fresh salad with lots of feta cheese. Lots of drinks to choose from both alcoholic and non. Will definitely come back next time for the steaks, they looked amazing. It was busy on a Friday so make sure you book at weekends

A restaurant in split. Sharing the experience we had. We came without reservation, we waited at the door no body was there. We steps 2 footsteps inside, the receptionist said only "out" in super disrespectful way. We kept waiting until he finally said " you have 90 mins" we didnt mind, because we only wanted to eat. After 20 mins of waiting another waiter came, i wanted to order food, he intrupted me rudely saying lets start with drinks. If you like good food and rude staff its recommended otherwise definitely not.

STOP LOOKING FOR OTHER PLACES! The food was so amazing that we didn’t manage to make any pictures of it! Order the pizza with truffles and prosciutto, 100% recommended!! All of the 5 of us loved it, super service, nice atmosphere, incredible food. This place became a must-be for every future trip to Split! Thanks Nataša!

It was out first meal in Croatia as a whole. We were amazed by the level of cleanness of the place including the bathrooms which were extremely equipped for any type of occasion. The food was amazing and very abundant. The staff was super friendly. The prices reflect well the quality of the food, the local and the hospitality. Overall an experience hard to top

Steak very good, we tried 3 different and I have no complaints, the staff is very professional. But the fries were really greasy, impossible to eat, Pizzas could also be much better, using less quality ingredients, prices could definitely be lower.

My first meal in Split was here and was advised to me by a local- I wasn’t particularly hungry after my flight but needed something and I was happy with what I got. I saw others having the meat platter which was way too big for me but the prawns were also a good portion size - and absolutely massive! I opted to sit outside on the terrace but the interiors were lovely too- great if you want simple grilled food

My wife and I have been in Split for 10 days, we have ate at several “highly rated” restaurants, which turned out to be average at best. Tonight, we hit the jackpot, we decided to try Bakra, everything was absolutely delicious!!! I had the Ribeye steak and the Cheesecake, my wife had the Chicago steak and chocolate cake. Both were amazing, I haven’t had a steak that juicy and flavorful in years, and the cheesecake…Wow! Bravo to the cooks!!! The atmosphere is terrific, cozy and inviting, our waiter “Tonci” made us feel like family, very friendly and attentive. Well worth your time and money, don’t look any further, eat here! Thank you Bakra and Tonci for a lovely evening!

The food was amazing! I got the bacon wrapped chicken, it had a nice smokey flavor. My husband got the bacon and cheese steak patty. We were both very happy and impressed with the food. We would highly recommend

Excellent atmosphere with tasty and big thin crust pizza's! Bakra from outside seems like it will be a small and decent restaurant but once you enter it is much bigger with a really lively vibe. The menu has a lot of variety from steak, pizza, salads and other mains such as chicken wings (which look amazing when looking at the food of the other diners.) The pizzas are really tasty with a variety of toppings to choose from and very well balanced, highly recommend getting a pizza with Croatian sausage as a topping. The staff are great, friendly, attentive and efficient. They may not acknowledge you straight away at the door, some staff just look and smile at you but trust me, someone has clocked you and already knows you need a table. We were seated in about 5min of walking up. The prices are very good, a bit cheaper than prices right in the center of Split.

I recently dined at the Bakra steak and pizza place in split, and our experience was a mix of average and very good. We decided to try two pizzas, the fungi and vegetarania. Both were quite average in terms of taste and didn't stand out. We also ordered the chicken steak, which was okay, but the portion size for the main course was disappointingly small considering the price. Overall, the food quality was decent, but I expected more for the price we paid. They even charged my 3.5 € for Parmesan!

The food is amazing! Every time we come to Split, we have dinner here. Always fresh meat and the best local wine from the house. A very good place to spend a nice evening with friends!

Great place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Tasty food and fair prices. Staff are friendly and even allowed us to store our luggage at the bar. Bathrooms are nice and well kept If I was to come back to Split I’d be visiting Bakra again!

Had a first lunch here in Spilt. Good vibes. Lemonade is really authentic. No sweets &full of acidity, what I exactly wanted. Steak was also good. Staff are also lovely:)

We got their specialty house pizza and vegetable pizza, they were both pretty good. The vegetable pizza was our favorite. Best pizza we had in Split. For dessert we got a Snickers dessert. It was okay. Friendly service, nice atmosphere.

The food was amazing. It showed up to the table much faster than expected. The waiter was very helpful. The local made plum brandy was a good touch.

Lively place with attractive old stone interior. Pizza was good but meats looked better. A nice steak was 35€ so I skipped it. Service was fine. It’s halfway between local and touristy, not a bad choice.

Restaurant with great vibes and some good meat and fish options with some local classic but also some more "international" dishes. In general, you should definitely come here for the meat, which is offered in different ways. I personally got a green pepper steak with side and my friend a sort of burger with a big wrap and sauces. We also shared some cevapcici that were delicious! Meals overall were good but not exceptional. Service and staff was great, very friendly. Final bill a bit over our expectations but we had drinks too.

The food was amazing, can’t say anything bad about it. However the music was too loud, the staff was absent, there’s no section for smokers - you have to walk outside of the restaurant where you’ll be smoking with all of the waiters and it was overall small creating a pub-like atmosphere. If you don’t care about anything else other than the food, you should definitely go.

Mixed pizza, Greek salad, red and white wine and chocolate torte for dessert. All I would highly recommend! Eating my way through my birthday and this was lunch :) Service and server were both great.

Food was delicious. I had a 6 cheese pizza which was amazing and a lovely Aperol Spritz. The place was packed and we didn't get seated at a table but a high bar which was ok but not too comfortable.

Delicious pizza! I had the pumpkin soup and carbonara pizza. Affordable and full of flavor. The mojito was great and the atmosphere was so relaxing. The staff was very friendly as well. Come check this place out if you are in the area.
