One of the best breakfasts we had in Split, highly recommended! We stopped by at Ciri Biri Bela on a Tuesday shortly after nine and we're lucky to quickly get a table (an hour after, there was already a queue). The restaurant has two nicely designed courtyards with a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast / brunch offering was fantastic and besides the good taste of the food, the staff really put a lot of effort into the presentation of the plates. We would come back!

If I could give this place 10 stars out of five I would! My partner and I had the best of breakfast for two aka an absolutely stunning spread with everything you could possibly want for breakfast - the freshest organic ingredients! We both agreed it might have been the best breakfast we ever had. Cannot recommend enough! The place itself is located in a quaint, very aesthetically decorated courtyard which provided much needed breeze and refuge from the heat. Staff was so bubbly and friendly. Don't leave split without trying it!

The food was so good I came to eat twice during my trip to Croatia! The menu is very diverse with plenty of options, the staff were also very welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is really chilled and relaxing. I'm already planning my second trip to Split so I can try more things on the menu! Despite being in a big group of 7, we didn't have to wait long and the staff accommodated our needs perfectly!

A private tucked away little courtyard that serves delicious breakfast options. Had the breakfast for two. We were presented with a wooden board loaded with Dalmatian delicacies such as a range of cold cut meats. Also got eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola and croissants. Serving left us very full and satisfied and as a bonus the coffee was delicious. Highly recommend dining here.

We had a very good breakfast here. The place is located on the edge of the old town but you can walk here in 2 minutes. Well worth it. Nice staff, great offer and very pleasant atmosphere!

Can NOT believe I’ve lived here for a year and a half and kept this on my want to visit list! The location is charming, private, well decorated outside in the courtyard. Servers were effective + very nice but busy 😅 as it was full! Food was oh so yummy. I wanted more but portions are serious. So poached eggs and waffles were enough for my 2m frame and appetite. A must go (repeatedly)!

Best meal I've ever had! Just amazing. Fresh food, excellent service, great atmosphere. The wait staff were so accommodating...I'm gluten free and they made the dishes especially and it was amazing. Love that you can see the chefs at work too

We chose breakfast here twice (we were in Split only 3 nights) but we were so wowed at the breakfast, service and atmosphere the first time we had to come back for a second time. The food is amazing and they were able to do me an amazing vegan breakfast, with fruit, yoghurt, bread, dips…everything so fresh! The people there are so welcoming, so friendly and always on hand if you needed anything. If I visit Split again (which I loved) I would certainly come back here and try the lunch/ dinner at this restaurant!! 5⭐️ absolutely!!! ❤️❤️

Best brunch I've ever had! Price is on the higher side, but seeing the amount and the kind of food you get it's worth every penny. Service was friendly and very quick, especially as the place was completely full when we were there. Will absolutely go again next time I'm in Split!

The perfect start to the perfect day. They were so welcoming and accommodating and had absolutely everything anyone could ask for, for breakfast. My partner is gluten intolerant and doesn’t take caffeine in her coffee and this is the first place we have found to accommodate both. Not only that, but the gluten free bread was better than a lot of bread I have eaten in my life. The food was amazing, the selection was amazing and all worth every penny.

Got pulled in by the menu outside paired with welcoming signs & appearance. Staff is hospitable, efficient, know their products and keep the people waiting in line well informed of the waiting time. Due to my very long list of allergies I was only able to try the coffee and the chia pudding (more than in most places!), which were well made. Staff was very helpful in finding me suitable dishes. Love this place!

The breakfast was very good and the service was super friendly. I liked the fact that they react flexible on specific wishes (add/remove components of the breakfast) and that they have lots of vegetarian options. The atmosphere is quite nice. The only contra is that you might have to wait a bit longer to get a table. We were there at about 9 am in the morning and only had to wait 5 minutes. The next day (~ 11am) the waiting line was so long that we decided not to wait.

We visited this restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. We were a group of 10 and the staff were very professional. The food was amazing and the Chef was very chill. You could see the cooks making the food from the outdoor seating and it was interesting to see the great teamwork between the Chef and his cooks. The high reviews for this place is what drew us to come visit and we were very happy that we did! Great setting with great prices. When visiting Split I highly recommend coming to check this place out and call early as reservations fill up very quickly!

I’ve travelled the world, and this is the best brunch I’ve ever had. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the location and ambiance were amazing. Overall, I would come back to Split just to eat here. I believe it was the owner who asked my friend and I how the food and service was. He seems very passionate for his restaurant and wants everyone to have the best experience. I felt the love that went into the food preparation and the cinnamon maple syrup waffles were the best waffles I’ve ever had.

As delicious as everyone writes in the reviews! The restaurant has such a romantic vibe to it and the whole setting is beautiful. We loved the food (definitely recommend the risotto with gamba in garlic butter!) and the service was excellent and very friendly. We immediately made a second reservation.

I'm so glad we walked by this place. You noticed the second you walked by that this is a great establishment. The cozy courtyard in the front caught our eyes. So we decided to book a table, and we are so glad we did. The food was excellent and the helpful staff gave great advice regarding what to eat and were very friendly. The prices are cheap relative to what you get. The food was amazing! Reservation seams to be required during high season, during our visit we saw that they had to decline several groups of people. A must visit if you are in Split.

Amazing food and great service. Very relaxed ambiance and again everything we ate was great. We had the meatballs, cevapi, eggplant, Parmesan chicken, vegetable kebab, bacon dates, and every single one was top tier tasty. Would highly recommend. Prices vary depending on how much you want to eat and they offer a great house wine for a low price.

We had dinner at Ciri Biri Bela with 4 people. The restaurant is very cozy and the location is great too as it is in a quiet alley near the city centre. The staff was super friendly and even offered to help me as I was walking with crutches. The food was one of the best we've had in Split, we tried almost everything on the menu to share and every single thing was super delicious. Would recommend everyone to go here if/when in Split. PS: Try the white house wine :)

Had a lovely time at dinner tonight. The dishes are small so we shared a range of hot and cold dishes between 2 of us. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was really cosy and relaxed. We would definitely return for breakfast or lunch.

This restaurant is our favourite in Split. We had been disappointed at a different (much more expensive!!) restaurant the previous night but we are so so glad we came here! The food was so delicious, the terraces are beautiful and service was amazing. Everyone was so welcoming, kind and attentive. Our waiter (so sorry we didn’t get his name) was truly the best service we have had in Europe. Highly highly recommend this place - but make sure you book! It is very popular and for good reason.

  • 5/5 Jessica V. 7 months ago on Google
Absolutely loved this breakfast place! It is highly rated for a reason. I had the eggs Benedict with crispy bacon and swapped out the muffin for a buttery croissant, a welcome addition that was delicious! Can get very busy so maybe try going early.

Lovely chilled lunch spot away from the main front. Clearly popular as had a small queue when we arrived for lunch, but we were quickly seated. Nice selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch items. We opted for the local pastry tart with goats cheese, fig and walnuts which was yummy. Washed down with some homemade lemonade. Not the cheapest lunch but very tasty and nice to be set back from the main promenade.

This was our favourite place all holiday. Great service and food. We loved the tapas. Bread with different interesting dips. Meatballs, Greek salad and dates with ham and honey. Fabulous setting. No complaints at all .

An amazing experience... got a great table next to the kitchen and spent the evening watching the Chef and his Team make fantastic dishes. Very friendly and helpful waiting staff, in a beautiful courtyard setting. A must visit if you are in Split!

Family-friendly! This is the first restaurant/cafe/any establishment that I have encountered that has a lovely clean padded change table. I was amazed and pleasantly very surprised. Have always wanted to visit Ćiri Biri Bela for ages and today we finally made it. It’s a lovely venue with two courtyards, great staff and great food. And the highlight for me was the change table!

  • 5/5 Heidi W. 6 months ago on Google
We went here for our anniversary dinner, it was a really sweet spot in a courtyard nicely lit up in the evening... It is on the pricey side but things are really fresh and nicely cooked so you can see why. We had a range of the tapas style dishes, definitely get the pork! And the curry and date dip 😁 everything was lovely but we did regret buying the clams, there isn't much to clams and we paid 22euro 😭 The waiter was so sweet! He made our evening for sure, I don't know his name but he was tall and slim with dark hair. Amazing. Service :) lovely meal for a special occasion

We had the most amazing meal tonight. The service and the food was impeccable. We have been travelling for 2 months Morocco, Spain, France, Italy, Greece and now Croatia. Ciri Biri Bela has been our best so far. Quality, quantity, service was just amazing. Thank you to the team we just loved our evening with you.

A lovely place with excellent food, impeccable service and the most friendly, the most polite staff we have ever met! Sincerely recommended! Regional cuisine, fresh ingredients, charming patio. The best culinary address in all of Split. We have not dined this fine at such a good price for a long, long time! We'll come back here again ❤️

The best brunch in town! This restaurant could fit easily into any of the brunch capitals of the world. Waffles are great but the stand out was the French toast - great selection of fresh berries a go with. Caramelised bananas on the waffles were a real treat as well. The coffee is pretty solid, nothing too amazing but up to a good enough standard to match the brunch. Sometimes there’s a bit of a queue but it’s well worth the wait. The outdoor setting is really pleasant as well.

  • 5/5 Nu 6 months ago on Google
Walking distance from main square, perfect brunch ambience. We ordered 8 brunch dishes, all were very tasty and different flavours. Very good flavour combinations in a single plate. Croatian omelette, lemon curd pancake, french pancakes, mushroom and pastrami croque and espresso martini is highly recommended

  • 5/5 Juna P. 2 years ago on Google
Loved everything, from the peaceful setting on the courtyard to the amazingly friendly waitresses and the delicious food. We had such a great breakfast experience that we came back the next day to try more amazing stuff from the menu. The portions are royal (especially the breakfast combo's), the plating is great and the food itself superb. Definitely recommended for breakfast, next time we are in Split we're coming back for dinner as well.

Great service and very good food. Pretty terrace in the back yard. However they want to make it look a bit too posh and I find it really expensive (20 euros for one person to have breakfast excl. drinks, not even in London or Amsterdam). If you think about Croatia just a couple of years ago, the prices are now doubled.

  • 3/5 Hélène C. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent food and service. Nice, modern selection of classic dishes with a twist and a variety of breakfast and lunch options. Be sure to make a reservation about a day beforehand, walk-ins for dinner are usually unsuccessful. However, for Croatian price ranges, this place is quite expensive. Count on €20-30 p.p. for breakfast and €75-100 p.p. for dinner (wine included).

Make sure you ask for Tina (Turner) and she will give you the best and exciting service ever with her witty humour. All the service personnel makes the experience of eating their delicious meals worth the price and the beautifully simple set up of the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant and their breakfast/brunch! Delicious set of menu with an incredible service team!

I am writing this review as I'm sitting in the restuarsnt watching the chef cook like a maestro! Every single bite of my dish was an explosion of flavor and joy in my mouth. I can't explain it. This restaurant provided the best meal I have had in all of Croatia to include Zagreb and Dubrovnik. The service is great and friendly. The lamb rack absolutely was divine. The cocktails and wine were exquisite and the desert apple dish was the cherry on top. Wow is all I can say what a way to end my last day of holiday. Hvala!!

Worth the wait! We went there as a group of four friends to enjoy a late breakfast and even tough we had to wait quite some time in the line our stay was so worth it. The food was soo tasty and the staff was really lovely and did their best to make us feel comfortable. Also I have some food allergies and they were really helpful in answering my questions and the chef himself even came to our table to help me find a dish that I can eat. They even had glutenfree bread. In conclusion you shouldn't go to Split without visiting this restaurant.

This was the best meal I've had in a long time. I had the steak and it was SO succulent. Loved the favours/veg that went with the steak too. The starter and dessert was delicious too. Complements to the Chef! A lovely quaint atmosphere sitting in the courtyard and listening to some background classic music. Loved It!

  • 5/5 Jixin L. 1 year ago on Google
Exceeded my expectation (and I had high expectations)! I can tell all the ingredients were carefully selected and were super fresh! They were not cutting any corners in preparation! The lamb rack was perfectly cooked even for a person like me who is very specific about the rarity. Plus all the flavors from the lamb juice and crispy vegetable topping and dried apple made my mouth in heaven! The laidback and professional staff made our night extra comforting:)

Hidden gem with large, mostly healthy menu. Great place for any meal of the day. Front and back gardens are both lovely. Both the food and the service were great. Highly recommend for something casual but nice.

Adorable courtyard for brunch, the menu is really extensive with some interesting dishes to try, we shared a few between us as we couldn’t choose just one! The chai latte and iced coffee were really good as well

Delicious breakfast and really nice place! A l of shade so it’s not so hot even around midday. Very friendly and professional staff. Quick service. Recommend to visit this place.

We had booked a table in advance and even though we were a little early, we were seated immediately. The service was amazing, we never had to wait more than a few seconds for anything: more bread, ordering, paying. Everything was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, we both had the risotto and loved it!! What I loved most about the place though, was the atmosphere: very romantic! We would definitely come again :)

  • 5/5 Lydia M. 8 months ago on Google
We went back for breakfast every day we were here it was that good! Excellent service and amazing food to the point it took my a good 15 minutes of tough decision making to actually pick something. The food is just exceptional. You can tell it’s all so fresh and the attention to detail makes just makes it. Will be recommending to everyone!

10-10!!! Went for dinner last night which was absolutely outstanding, food was packed with flavour and service was fantastic. It was so good we came back for breakfast this morning, what an amazing menu. Would highly recommend the French toast, and the whole place in general! Served by Tina who was brilliant, helpful and friendly. Queue out the door the whole time we were here, you can see why!

we went here for breakfast and we were impressed. the place is very nice, the atmosphere was comfortable. we came at the right time. you cant make a reservation for breakfast, which is why a lot of people had to wait (luckily we did not). the coffee and the food came super fast. we both had the french toast and it was sooooo good. all of the other breakfast options looked good as well, but many had very small portion sizes. overall, highly recommend this place

  • 5/5 Natalia P. 1 year ago on Google
All stars are aligned in this place: amazing food, super friendly and knowledgeable team, great atmosphere. Ćiri Biri Bela is with no doubt the best place to eat in Split. Everything we ordered was perfect: great match of ingredients, highest quality of execution, surprisingly big portions. We made two more reservations immediately to enjoy as many dishes from the menu as possible while we are in Split.

  • 5/5 Megan L. 9 months ago on Google
Phenomenal variety for meat-eaters, vegetarians, and gluten-free diners. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very open and welcoming. Dinner was amazing. Heads up on breakfast wait-times, though. As of the time of the review, they do not take breakfast reservations and the line is out the door and down the street. We had our favorite meal of our week-long stay in Split at Ciri Biri Bela.

  • 4/5 Oscar B. 9 months ago on Google
Food is excellent but service could be better, the staff are incredibly polite and although the long ques are to be expected, some more transparency about wait times would make this process significantly less frustrating. Some more condiments than just salt and pepper would be a big improvement. The iced latte comes unsweetened which isn’t explained on the menu or explained by a waitress.

  • 5/5 Sana Lutfullah C. 10 months ago on Google
What an amazing restaurant! The place itself is lovely. Food is fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious. I wish I had eaten there more than once on my weekend trip to Split! Highly recommend it!

  • 5/5 Bodi 9 months ago on Google
Very cozy space with friendly staff and nice, tasty food. On the photo it doesn't look like much, but the portion was more than sufficient. Only negative is apparently this place is popular on TripAdvisor, so expect to queue for a spot during lunch time. Also, the change to euro affected a lot of places negatively when it comes to price, so expect to pay a bit more than you're used to in the Balkan.

  • 5/5 Tyler M. 11 months ago on Google
I couldn't say enough great things about this place. We went here back to back mornings, for breakfast, because it was so good. Fair pricing for the quality and quantity of food provided. The staff were super friendly and the ambiance was quaint and fit well within old town. I highly recommend coming extra hungry and splitting the breakfast for two. It's absolutely worth it!

  • 5/5 PF Hallwell M. 10 months ago on Google
Absolutely fab restaurant. It was recommended to us, We where group of 6 women, we visited for breakfast and it was soo good we went back again. Service amazing, the staff so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much for them. Even when it came to the bill if we had of wanted to split it 6 ways it wasn't a problem. The location was lovely we sat in the the inner courtyard twice so lovely. A well thought out restaurant run with a high level of service, we would love to have gone back for dinner but we unfortunately ran out of time on our amazing visit to Split, Next time for sure ...

This was hands down the best breakfast and dinner in Croatia. I wish I could take the food home with me to California. Adriano and all the waiters are so delightful. Overall amazing experience. Highly recommend. Fresh foods, juices, yummy cocktails and beautiful ambiance!!
