Currently closed. Ticket desk at Diocletians palace, where you buy city museum tickets, did not inform me or post any information to that effect. Sad because the only reason I bought the expensive ticket was to see the city of Split museum.

Disappointing visit, crypt is almost empty and totally uninteresting, church is quite interesting with a lot of gold and powerful organ, baptistery is almost empty and totally uninteresting

Fascinating seaside historical complex dating from the 4th century . Although altered substantially over time a considerable amount of the original structure remains and the entire has been adapted to modern use .

We got free entry with the split 72 hour card. If you are staying 5 nights or more in peak season (3 off peak I think) then just take proof to the tourist information and they'll give you the card for free! The card includes 3 free museums and lots of discounted museums, trips and restaurants. Thought this museum was interesting for half an hour but steep for the entrance fee we would have paid. Is a good video presentation of the history of the palace which was interesting.

Really cool place to visit. It is huge space you cannot see from the outside of city center. Must see in Split!

Disappointing that the museum was closed today with a sign saying "closed for renovations". Check before you go... suggest Google mark it as temporarily closed.

This museum was very interesting and lot of people. The inside of this place is beautiful. Def felt like old town vibes. Would recommend! Lot of interesting facts and history here.

Wonderfull museum, but that steel door with circles in the courtyard is horrible! Does not suit the museum at all and is very poorly made.

Gives a great background for a better understanding of the Diocletian palace and other sights.

Very small museum with very limited items, if you are near by and you have time then visit it.

The first floor is nice and explains a lot about the city. The other floors are not in a chronological order ans it’s quite hard to follow the story of the city. There a lot of artefacts but for the vast majority their description is in Croatian. Also most panels are only in Croatian or English. There is potential, the city has almost 2000 years of history!
