We were so happy that we visited here. The beach is surrounded by pine forest which provides nice shade on a hot sunny day. The water is so clear and clean that you can see fish swimming. The water was calm when we visited so it was perfect for swimming. There are changing booths, a cafe, and bed rental (€20 for a day). We didn't feel the need to rent a bed as we were in the water all day 😁 Just a few things to note: 1. This is a "rocky" beach with many stones and rocks, so make sure you bring aqua shoes if going in the water. 2. Don't take a taxi! They will drop you off at the entrance of the park which means 20 mins of walking. INSTEAD, take bus 12 from Split centre. The bus will take you directly to the beach.

The best beach in Split and even one of the most charming in the whole Croatia, a lot lot lot of space along the whole beach, a perfect beach bar, definitely not overcrowded (in comparison to the other - though beautiful - beaches in Split), piece and quite; for those who search for privacy and a feeling of freedom. As a bonus - lot of shade throughout a day and a beautiful sunset! A nearest parking place around 1-2km far from the beach, from the parking to the beach you can get by feet/bike/scooter (the walk through the park is nothing exhausting, on the contrary, very pleasant thanks to the roads for cyclers and pavements). The beach is available also by bus 12.

Myself and several of my friends went to the beach. It’s nice enough and quiet. However, you need to be careful of the people who work in the bar and rent the loungers. They will charge you more that what the signs say. They are ripping tourist off, are very dishonest, rude and extremely aggressive. I would consider going to other beaches if you are a tourist. I went to this place two years ago and it appears to have changed management since. So past reviews are out of date and aren’t to be trust. Be VERY VERY careful about going here. They ARE SCAMMING TOURIST.

Nice rocky beach. With great nature around it. There is a restaurant/food spot to enjoy. The view resembles a lake, which makes it even nicer. Clear water and great landscape, I'd definitely go back.

Bene beach is just off the main tourist beaches, accessible by bus or the small 'train' from centre of Split. Beautiful clear water and great facilities with toilets and a bar/restaurant. You have the added value of some shade in the pine trees.

Lovely beach, however they suspiciously upped the price from 50 kuna to 75 kuna for the hire of a lounger. Be careful about going here as a tourist. As their prices mysteriously go up when you go to order. Very dishonest. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

A nice break from the crowds but no public toilet. The beach area was recommended by our hotel staff as it is the last stop on the 24 bus (I can’t recall whatever one goes out that way), with most people getting off at the initial two beaches. Well those were arguably more sunny, this beach area also had a fair bit of shade. We recommend bringing beach towels and using those instead of paying €10 per chair for 30mins/1hr (don’t recall which it was). I also recommend using the wading in area as opposed to the rock “dock”. The bottom of the are is very rocky and the area around is naturally more woods, which lead to splinters.

Lovely beach. However, they seem to be a bit dishonest especially towards tourist. They have signs saying the prices of the sun loungers are 50 kuna. And when they come around and collect the money it’s apparently has gone up to 75 kuna. They stated it’s because of the season, but the beach was quiet empty We were here a previous day in the week and the price was 50 kuna. I guess it’s not about the price really, It’s just disappointing and doesn’t make you feel very welcome as a tourist.

Cool beach. Not too big. Lots of natural shade. There's a restaurant/bar right next to it. It's quite a walking distance (at least 15min from the entrance "Spinutska vrata") so better take a bike if you're not in the mood for walking.

So beautiful, less of a beach and more of a rocky area with direct sea access. Has deck chairs and a restaurant. The water and view are beautiful as is the surrounding forest

A beautiful spot with natural shade and so much potential. But it’s dirty and run down. Needs someone to manage the restaurant and keep it clean. Beautiful sunset and lovely bus ride in

A normal popular beach. There are some stings where you can get hurt at but they are not so many. It is a good place to scuba dive but I would recommend Obojeja for scuba.

Do yourself a favour. Catch the bus and go to this beach. Bus tickets €2 on the bus (cash) and get off at the last stop. Walk 50m and you are in the sea. Really nice. Not a sandy beach but welcome to Croatia.

This is a gorgeous little beach that would be buzzing in the summer. Well worth the lovely walk through Marden park forest. There is a restaurant here which is closed in winter unfortunately. But it was a lovely place to spend a sunny winter’s afternoon

Best beach on Split, by far. If you like a peaceul and quiet beach, this is your spot. There is plenty of shade from trees to escape from the sun, no need to rent umbrellas. If you are hungry or thirsty, there is a restaurant with acceptable prices. The water is calm and refreshing. You can get there by taking the bus number 12, it cost 11 kn (1.5 euro) the single ride ticket, other rides can charge up to 15 euros. The public transport has AC.

A really lovely quiet beach/swimming area. The scenery is stunning as you have the marjan forest to one side (which you take a nice walk through to get there) and views of the mountains on the other side. There is a bar, kayak hire and sun loungers. The shower said it costs 2kuna but was unfortunately not working when we went. Hard to believe this place is not man-made as it has the feel of being at a luxury villa or Center Parcs type place.

Great spot to stop for a rest and a meal after been hiking for hours. Beautiful scenery with crystal clear warm water...the cafe doesn't offer much variety but it served the purpose for the beer and snacks at fair prices. Very friendly staff.

Absolutely brilliant experience, we got our hotel shuttle to Joe's beach Lounge & Bar ( massively overpriced 190hkn a sunbed!!!! ) then walked around the island to Kepalište Bene, a much more affordable beach with actual sand! All the staff are very friendly and willing to do anything for you if I could rate it higher I would!

What a beautiful place. The walk was spectacular. The breeze amazing. The cool water was insane. I actually liked just taking the hour walk from split. There is a bar and you can drink while watching the boats and listening to music. The water is crystal clear and even see sea urchin.

This was our go to happy place while in Split. It's just perfect. The setup of the strand and the pine trees for shade are perfect for a family. The children absolutely loved jumping off the concrete pier. It was definitely our favourite beach. Be sure to download the promet bus app and it only costs one euro to get there from the centre

Most beautiful little swimming spot I’ve ever been to. There’s music, and not at all as many people as there are at the more known swimming spots and beaches in split. I recommend wearing swimming shoes though, as there are a lot of stones.

It's a beautiful beach, but beware of sea urchins and lots of rocks, it makes the sea level so weird to walk on

Great quiet bay during week days, as with just about every beach on the Croatian Adriatic, changing facilities, nearby water fountains and this has a beach bar, can rent sunbeds @20eu a day but theres loads of benches. Nicely shaded. SUNSETS are great from here.

pretty beach! felt safe leaving my bag on the side while i was in the water. Easy to get to on the bus. really pretty with pine trees all around so it smelt lovely. with a shallow end that is sectioned off and a concrete pier that you can jump off of.

I was in October. few people, the water is warm, you can sunbathe if there is sun. Beautiful sights

One of the best, if not the best, beaches of Split. A great advantage: since it's located in a national park, away from the centre, there are no cars allowed, so you are free from them. It's also very special because you get both a forest and the sea in one package. It's so big that it's never really crowded and you can pick a good spot along the shores wherever you want. There's also a lot of shade, due to the forest, and an amazing ecosystem around the rocks, filled with fishes and sea urchins (water shoes are a must!) if you want to snorkel. Bring your own snacks and food, since there's nothing around except for a ridiculously overpriced restaurant. A beach for people who want to chill and enjoy nature, away from the hustle and noise.

Such a cute beach, it almost looks like a pool! The bus stop back to the city is very close by as well.

Horrible busy beach; packed with noisy children shouting, playing in the sea and awful music from the bar. Here with 2 friends, all aged around 50,away without our teens so I guess if you like full on busy, noisy beaches and have kids then come here. If you prefer nature and clear water then go elsewhere or come in the winter/ spring but not july! Had a nice coffee and juice at the bar and the view is pretty. Sea full of seaweed and milky not clear blue, swam to cool off and left for a much more beautiful spot 10 minutes away.

The place is good, accessible with strollers and there's plenty of shade. It's mostly sand with pebbles here and there. The downside is that right as you walk in there's lots of trash in the sea that nobody seems to care about and the showers are not working. There is a coffee shop, but it's quite expensive so if you're planning on staying longer bring food and drinks and don't count on showering there.

A very nice area to relax in and take a dip if you like. There are plenty of places to sit or lay down which can be a nice reward after hiking and exploring the park. There's also a small café and grill bar for some refreshments.

Quite area and sheltered. Good snorkeling and decent bar and changing rooms. We walked here from split ( Radavice). Take water. There is a parallel walk route through forest which can be used on returning.

Beautiful sea view surrounded by forest, nearby children's playground (poorly maintained) and parking is not far. The road from the road to the cafe and the sea is not well maintained, so you need to drive the stroller carefully, the same goes for the bike. The public toilet is not in the best condition, but at least it works. Yet the ambiance is beautiful and it is a shame to miss it because of these shortcomings.

A good place to swim after a hike or a ride along the Marjan peninsula. Extensive enough to escape the more crowded central part.

I can imagine this place is stupidly busy in high season/summer. We visited in late November and was the only people here with all facilities shut(as you would expect in late November)

Lovely sight, great air when u r walking there, sea is clear and clean. Best place to have a drink, brunch or lunch. Loved it

I came here out of season when the place was deserted but it was spacious and looked cute. I can imagine in summer this place would be great, there’s food stalls and plenty of activities to do. I’d give this 5* even if it was all shut up when I visited.

👍👍 Beautiful restaurant and great service with an exceptional view. The restaurant carries a story with interior decor from ex-Yugoslavia and is surrounded by a setting that makes you feel like you travel back in time. Highly recommended.
