A local gem. You can find fresh produce, olive oil, honey, bread and whatnot every day. Everything is top quality. People are warm and nice. Remember to bring cash with you. It is an amazing culture to live if you are visiting Croatia, it is where locals go to do groceries.

It has very little atmosphere but it’s there. A few locals but seems overrun with tourists. I saw some of the smallest artichokes and celeriac that I have ever seen. The stalls are more like rows of tables. Down towards the harbor, there are permanent tourist stalls including many selling linen and summer clothes. 14 euro for a short that costs 40 in a shop in town.

Oh here’s where the local get their daily fresh produce. Cheaper than supermarkets. It’s another spot for the tourists to see how locals get by their dailies

A little pricey, probably because we were very obviously tourists 😂 a nice way to start the day though and a great opportunity to get a taste of local produce

Perhaps this market used to be local, but there are so many tourists there. The pricing certainly seems more for the tourists. I didn’t end up getting anything. But if you’re on a cruise, it is on the way back to the cruise port. Doesn’t hurt to stop by and take a look at some of the nice fruits and vegetables.

Great place to get fresh veggies, fruits, nuts and flowers. Starts in the morning, closed around 16.30 in Winter. Dogs allowed (but too full on normal summer days...) Very friendly traders!

Great farmers market just outside of the old town walls. Fresh fruit, leafy greens, potatoes, squashes, etc. It was open for Tues, Wed, Thurs....(was not in Split other days). Many vendors leave by midday, some into evening.

Charming outdoor green market. Grab grapes, local fruits, nuts, even hand-sliced prosciutto to take back to your hotel room. Adjoining, is an outdoor tourist trinket market to get the little boy back home all the fake Messi jerseys his heart desires.

You can see fruits other than good ingredients. Self-grown vegetables are fresh. You can go shopping, too.

It's the best place to buy local food and organic fruits and vegetables while supporting the locals. Everyone working there was so kind and lovely, and we bought nice ripe figs which was delicious.

Hey there! The Green Market is a perfect place to experience the local authentic culture and pick up some fresh produce. From colourful fruits and vegetables to fragrant herbs and spices, you'll find everything you need to create a delicious meal. In addition to the fresh produce, you can find here a lot of beautiful flowers and plants. This place is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the city of Split :)

I lived in Split for 7 weeks, and we came here every week to buy groceries. What an amazing market this is with the freshest produce and meats. Sure, it's filled with tourists in the afternoon due to its proximity to diocletians' palace, but don't let it steer you away. The locals normally come out early in the morning to get the pick of the litter.

Great produce in this market. We bought some fresh nuts and berries which were amazing. We found the dry fruits are great quality here , we bought some walnuts. We can also purchase other great Souvenirs like marble gifts, lavender, art , etc. Wonderful market very close to the old town.

Great place to grab fruit/veggies for cheap if you know how to haggle with locals. Do a quick walk through first before buying and see the prices so you have the ability to haggle a little. A little Croatian goes a long way here! Fruit was beyond amazing honestly

Lovely place! Recommend to try local barbecue (pancheta, chicken, and lamb). Delicious! They sell mostly local stuff and all seasonal. Pls check out bucher shops and fish shop (rebarnicha). The only DO NOT recommend is honey, test like burned sugar :). Honey is better to buy in supermarkets.

Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses and meats. Mostly a locals market, not much of anything aimed at tourists wishing to take something home with them. But enjoyed it regardless

It’s nice market with so many fresh produce to choose from. Also we had the chance to buy some souvenirs from here like cardigan and shirts. It’s good price and better to support locals.

  • 2/5 Carlos L. 1 year ago on Google
Quite bad if you come here to buy some souvenirs, they are bad quality and expensive, for the same price you have beautiful pieces in the great shops of the centre of the town. I wouldn't really bother if this is what you are looking for. Just go around town and you will find amazing independent shops with real souvenirs made by locals

I have come to Splits market after Trogir ones. Its 3x times cheaper, the fruits are much better and the sellers are willing to negotiate. Its probably still overpriced but at least I left without feeling that I have been cheated

Taste before you buy, but definitely buy if it tastes good. We had great luck with the late-summer peaches.

Green market in Split, a place with cheaters, the prices are much more than you pay in the supermarked. I bought a basket of strawberry for dobbel price and it was only the strawberry on the top that was ok, the rest underneath was rothen. Not a place i recomand.

The green market Split kroatia, a market full of cheaters, the profit is high the kvality is low. Bought some strawberrys a full basket but when I got home it was only the top that looks good, the rest underneath was rothen and I even payd dobbelprice.

Did here our daily shopping of veggies, fruits and sometimes meat. So many people selling same products that you could find cheaper or better. There are some sellers how have homemade cheese, local spirit and other stuff (antiques for example)

  • 5/5 Delilah H. 2 years ago on Google
The market was very enjoyable just to walk or actually shop. Great prices on fruit, vegetables, honey, cheese, wine and more. All from local vendors and farms.

  • 5/5 Dubravka S. 2 years ago on Google
Fresh veggies and fruits daily from the local farmers. There are a few butchers with fresh meat and some locals with smoked bacon, dosages. You will find different kind of honey, olive oil, cheese, nuts and dried fruit.

An excellent outdoor market. We bought some fresh fruits and vegetables that came straight from the sellers garden. We also picked up some amazing wings and a large piece of pork, that was part of a pig that was roasted on a spit, right there at the market. So delicious and the prices are good.

This is a locsl market with curios and also fresh produce. The fresh produce was a bit iffy. Bought some cheese and smoked meat and got ripped off. Not a very friendly person who helped us. Ons the far side of the fresh market there are some butchries and they have very nice selection of meats. Would suggest you go there
