(Translated by Google) One of the best preserved palace gates with the human trap. Actually a lock where summer restaurants are. Was built for security to attack protection and as customs.

The Iron Gate is a well preserved ancient Roman gateway. Unfortunately the gate is partially obscured by the medieval architecture added in the centuries after it was built. It leads from the Diocletian's palace into the People's Square.

You can easily miss this ancient Roman iron gate. The iron made gate is missing but the port is still there but if you look up, you can see the slot where the gaye used to come down from above.

The Western Gate is called the Iron Gate. It is is one of the four main Roman gates of Diocletian's Palace. The other three gates ate called Silver Gate, Brass Gate, and Golden Gate. Originally the Iron Gate was built as a military gate from which troops entered the palace. It is the only gate that remained in continuous use until today.

Fascinated when we saw this gate coming around the corner. It’s impossible not to notice and pass them, despite the fact that they seem to be hidden among other buildings. It looks very impressive.

(Translated by Google) Nice corner that is very crowded so that you can easily pass the gate without realizing it.

(Translated by Google) I doubt that anyone who visited Split did not see and go that way. There is certainly something to see the unique entrance to Diocletian's Palace.
