The
Piazza
Heritage
hotel
is
in
the
very
center
of
the
Diocletian
palace
of
Split
surrounded
by
all
sorts
of
great
restaurants
/
coffee
shops
/
stores
/
bars.
Since
the
hotel
is
in
the
middle
of
the
palace
by
what
seemed
to
be
the
main
piazza,
we
were
dropped
off
by
our
taxi
driver
and
had
to
walk
in
a
bit.
It
took
a
sec
to
find
it
since
Google
Maps
didn't
do
the
best
of
jobs
inside
the
palace
walls.
That
said
once
we
did
find
it,
it
was
super
easy
to
locate
again
and
it
was
in
the
perfect
location.
Lots
of
great
restaurants
and
bars
within
a
minute
or
two
walk.
The
lobby
of
the
hotel
is
beautiful.
White
marble
countertops,
smooth
white
wood,
mirrors,
and
white
title.
Very
clean,
elegant,
smelled
amazing,
great
music
playing
on
low,
and
incredible
staff.
Since
we
arrived
late
(flight
was
4
hours
delayed)
we
were
met
by
Luka
who
works
overnight.
This
amazing
guy
would
go
onto
be
one
of
the
absolute
highlights
of
our
trip
there.
He
was
super
warm,
friendly,
professional,
and
went
out
of
his
way
to
connect
with
us.
He
walked
us
to
our
room,
talked
about
all
the
places
in
the
area
we
should
visit,
and
then
made
a
last
minute
restaurant
reservation
for
us
at
the
restaurant
downstairs.
He
mentioned
we
would
need
to
get
there
ASAP
as
they
were
closing
soon,
but
he
was
able
to
convince
them
to
stay
open
for
us.
The
food
was
incredible,
great
local
wine,
and
the
staff
there
were
really
nice
even
though
we
were
keeping
them
there
longer
than
they
normally
would
be.
We
finished
dinner
and
went
for
a
walk.
The
immediate
area
was
still
lively
even
though
it
was
now
12:30am.
People
still
eating
and
drinking
in
the
piazza.
We
walked
down
to
the
water
and
saw
lots
of
bars
and
even
a
few
clubs
with
dance
music
going
off.
The
area
is
absolutely
magical
day
and
night.
Beautiful,
high
quality
restaurants,
bars
and
stores
mixed
in
with
old,
historical
architecture.
Everything
is
easy
to
walk
to
and
it
feels
very
safe.
The
large
majority
of
people
everywhere
we
went
spoke
next
to
perfect
English
and
were
eager
to
connect.
The
room
was
gorgeous
and
very
comfortable.
We
had
amazing
views
from
our
windows
of
the
tops
of
palace
buildings
and
my
sister's
room
had
views
of
the
main
piazza.
The
beds
were
very
comfortable,
there
was
great
AC
and
they
were
pre-set
to
an
ideal
temperature,
and
the
bathrooms
were
gorgeous
too.
Again,
beautiful
marble,
tile,
and
high
quality
decorations.
Before
going
to
bed
I
spent
a
good
amount
of
time
talking
to
Luka
about
the
next
day.
He
got
out
a
map
and
circled
so
many
amazing
looking
spots
for
us
to
visit.
Private
beaches,
a
locals
beach
club,
restaurants
ideal
for
seafood
and
local
cuisine,
and
places
to
take
a
beautiful
walk
or
hike.
I
felt
so
lucky
to
get
his
time
and
it
made
me
feel
so
much
better
than
trying
to
find
spots
on
an
app.
Getting
the
inside
information
from
a
really
friendly
local
is
obviously
ideal.
The
next
morning
we
checked
out
and
met
two
amazing
women
who
were
working
at
the
front
desk.
Josipa
and
Jelena.
(There
was
one
other
as
well
but
I
forgot
to
get
her
name.
Literally
everyone
there
was
exceptional.)
They
held
our
bags
for
us
since
our
flight
was
late,
and
gave
us
additional
recommendations
on
where
to
go.
They
made
us
feel
really
comfortable
and
taken
care
of,
didn't
mind
that
we
came
back
a
few
times
to
get
stuff
from
our
bags,
and
even
let
us
change
in
their
bathroom.
Long
story
short,
we
tried
to
fly
to
Naples
that
night
but
our
flight
got
canceled
after
6
hours
of
delays.
We
went
back
to
the
Piazza
Heritage
at
1:30am
and
Luka
was
there
to
greet
us
again.
He
knew
of
our
troubles
(since
we
were
back
and
forth
to
our
bags
in
the
lobby
while
waiting
for
the
flight
delays
to
end
and
go
to
the
airport),
had
spoken
to
management
about
our
issue,
and
was
able
to
offer
us
an
amazing
rate
for
the
last
two
rooms
available.
I
talked
to
him
again,
learned
all
about
culture
/
real
estate
/
schools
/
and
so
much
more,
and
then
hit
the
sack.
They
held
our
bags
again
the
next
day
until
we
were
finally
able
to
leave.
Top
notch
stay.
Top
notch
people.
Top
notch
hotel.
