Amazing stuff, incredibly welcoming! Prime location and very clean. Would recommend:))

Very nice and quite hostel very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms where clean and we had a little kitchen in our room which was handy. We also had a shared bathroom which was kept clean and tidy. Would have given them 5 stars but the bed a rock hard and not very comfortable and looked to be a futon bed.

Staying at Hostel Split was a wonderful experience. The owner Sime is the kindest and most hospitable host you could ask for. He invited us to watch the football game which was a blast. The rooms themselves had everything you could ask for and, most importantly, a very nice AC. I would recommend staying here if you wanna live decently, and very close to the city centre.

Very fine place with clean accomodations, kitchen, even a freecer , Nice bathroom. Only the price ses Very high 60 €. I had hoped for 30 €.

Amazing hostel right in the heart of Split! The staff were beyond helpful and kind. My friend and I stayed there 3 different times and every time was great! The owner Simon is a fantastic individual with hospitality on his mind. Stay here if you're looking for a great place and amazing staff.

I slept there three nights and I can definitely recommend it. I slept in a shared room and even though it is situated in the center it was quiet. Even the guests there know how to behave. Once I forgot my key in the room and it was almost midnight. I called the owner and he came to open the door for me. I was so thankful and he didn't charge me anything.

The staff and the owner were very kind. They explained to us what places to visit, attractions and where to eat. The rooms are very well located and have all the amenities. The rooms are excellent value for money. Thanks so much for my birthday present!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hostel. The location is absolutely perfect and in walking distance from everything you need. The room itself was good for two nights ESPECIALLY as they had air conditioning which was much appreciated. The bathroom was modern and the shower was the best we’ve had on our holiday. Only thing is there’s no hooks or towel racks in the room so we improvised and hung our towels on coat hangers. It also would have been good if the bathroom got cleaned daily, especially when you’re sharing with about 6-10 other people, and they use all the toilet paper. Thanks for having us.

One night stay for 2, £60 EACH. Close to everything and a little natural history museum on your doorstep. Staff brilliant with directions x

Have just arrived at hostel split and can already tell it’s going to be a pleasant stay, I am apparently in the smallest room and honestly I couldn’t ask for anything more, super clean, fresh sheets, comfy pillow, has a fridge and good aircon! The bathrooms are modern and clean also with a washing machine! I feel super safe and I have never travelled on my own before!! The owner of the owner of the Hostel gave me a map of the city and a fab explanation of places to go (you couldn’t be more central if you tired). I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting split!!

The Hostel was amazing! With a great location, wonderful staff, and clean and beautiful rooms, I would highly recommend Hostel Split. It's only a few minutes walk from the central port and bus stations, as well as from the old town. I was upgraded for free from a double room with shared washroom to a private double room with private washroom, which was amazing, the room was so wonderful! I was travelling alone and the staff and accommodations made me feel so safe and welcome and I really enjoyed my stay in Split because of it.

It was an average hostel, the third bed was a cot and not very comfortable. Great location though!

Nice remote location to the main office. Within walking distance to the Diocletian palace. Staff was very helpful guiding their guests through the map around the city.

Where do we begin. When we arrived the man at check in was unprofessional he explicitly told us there was no small crime in Croatia so they don’t lock the door. We went to our rooms which were sort of clean, but there was a massive cricket in the room. The window by one of the beds was open and didn’t shut - this was a problem in the evening as it was so loud and early morning was the same. The showers were small and the hot water wasn’t the best - it seemed to have a mind of its own. The real issue was that us and another guest had our clothes stolen. Our clothes were left to dry in the room but when we returned they’d gone. The man at the desk said it was the cleaners and that he was sorting it - this was not the case. Every time we checked he said the same things, when we asked why our stuff had been taken he ignored us. He seemed much more keen to party than help his guests. It was funny because this is the same man who said there wasn’t any crime - yet theft even if it’s clothes is a crime. They were unbelievably shocking at dealing with this. We were leaving the next day and they honestly had no clue and didn’t seem to care. In the morning, the lady on reception was once again far from helpful. She apologised but shrugged and tried to blame other people staying - yet the cleaners had returned the other guests shorts. It was an unreal situation, as no one helped us - how weird is it that someone would steal used swimwear! Likewise, the hostel didn’t seem particularly safe every night there was a party - which is fine! But people from outside the hostel joined in, on multiple occasions people who weren’t staying came into our room. On the last night a guy who was fairly drunk came to outside our room and was pestering the girls asking them to come out. One girl asked him to leave and he reluctantly continued to pester her. The guy explained he’d been invited in by staff. We are avid travellers and have stayed in hostels all over the world but this was the one that felt unsafe, unpredictable and unworthy of the money we paid. We are far from happy with our stay and the way staff handled situations. Not worth the stay - especially if you want your swim suit to dry
