The hostel is a a short walk to all the main attractions and everything you could need. The beds are very spacious and confortable. The showers are very clean and so are the common areas. The staff is lovely and very helpful, would go to great lenghts to make you feel welcome. They can also arrange tours for you with a local agency. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly nice hostel! I thought it wouldn’t be comfortable because the rooms are only 18 beds or more but it’s really relaxing! My main feedback is to attach blinds on the bed frames for better privacy. The staff is great. I didn’t get her name, but the receptionist with red hair who studies film gave me local recommendations and was extremely friendly. I felt really welcomed. The hostel is small but bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and the location is good. There is a chill social atmosphere so you can meet people easily too. There is a small kitchenette including a microwave and fridge, so don’t expect to be able to cook any meals. However it’s close to restaurants and grocery stores so you can get cheap eats or have fine dining as you wish.

Most comfortable beds I've ever slept on, very clean hostel. Very good atmosphere, met a lot of cool people here. Boris, the owner, is amazing, very helpful and friendly. You can book various activities through the hostel, including boat parties.

Loved my stay at Gravitas. Vanessa at reception was a wealth of knowledge and helped us with every and any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!!

Had a great experience at Gravitas! Rooms were clean with great sized bunks and a pole that allowed you to dry or privatise your space a little more. The bathrooms are quite tiny and only two showers and two toilets. But we made it work and the vibe was fantastic! A lot of solo travellers which is circumstantial so I was lucky! Staff were more than friendly, they went above and beyond, maintained professionalism but also made you feel like you could relax, we’re safe and could join in anything that was happening!

Probably one the best hostel experiences money can buy. Everything is well kept, beds are very comfy. The staff are some of the best people I have met on this euro trip. Boris (the owner) and the rest of the staff basically know everyone in the city and can help assist in anything you may want to do in the surrounding area’s. This hostel is definitely geared towards a younger crowd so if sleep is a virtue, you might want something a little more private. However, if you want to have a blast with a bunch of cool people till the break of Dawn, this is definitely the place to stay. It’s a shame I only have one more night. I’ll be back in 6 months guys ❤️

Had a really amazing stay at the hostel. Right in the city center, but quiet enough to be able to get a good nights sleep. Boris can tell you a lot about the area and is willing to help you with anything. Would definitely stay here again :)

Gravitas Hostel is located perfectly to reach main attractions such as Old Town, the Port etc. by foot. Everything you need is close by (supermarket, restaurants, bakery, pharmacy...) The staff makes sure that every guest feels comfortable. Whatever you need Boris and Karla are more than happy to help out. You will meet a lot of exciting new people in the common area of the hostel. Also, the staff makes sure that the accommodation is clean as it is being cleaned several times a day.

A very high recommendation on the social level: we accidentally booked our stay for the wrong month and the hostel was completely booked out. But rather than abandoning us to our fate finding a new accomodation in Split in high season, the owner arranged with one of his contacts that we could stay with them. Unbelievable! Thank you so much!!!!

Very well located- as close to the town as it could be without being on a crowded street with a supermarket also located on the street corner. It’s always clean and nicely air-conditioned after a warm day at the beach! Borris (main staff member) is incredibly welcoming and accommodating on check in times and just a very nice person in general to deal with; recommending places to go, things to do and where to eat. All around a superb experience and I hope to return soon again!

Had a great time at Gravitas 😁 The hostel is in a great location, it's clean and comfortable. The owner, Boris, was awesome; allowed me to check in late and was super helpful with tours/stuff to do around the area (and he was super friendly!) Will definitely stay there again if I make my way back to Split.

Amazing hostel!!! From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and at home! The owner Boris went above and beyond in terms of customer service; helped me retrieve my bank international number (ad I was having issues with my card) and even bought me a chocolate bar to help me de-stress!! I really appreciated the people-frost approach at this hostel. Also the night life here is AMAZING - went out the first night I arrived and had the BEST time dancing the night away!!

A huge thanks to the cheerful, receptive and tremendously friendly staff. Nice to be received by such warming smiles by Boris and his team. Despite arriving too early, we were welcome to store our luggage, given handy tips and the staff went beyond bounds to offer assistance dealing with a booking mishap. Thanks for being so hospitable and look forward to returning in the future!

I had an amazing stay in Gravitas. The place is so well organzised, the beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are clean. The hostel organizes many excursions everyday and it is so easy to book the tours. The common area is nice for meeting people. Boris manages the hostel and he is the greatest host you will meet. He knows all the spots in Split and is very hospitable. I will definitely come back.

Very clean, modern, simple hostel. No kitchen, accessible 24/7. 18+ beds per dorm, but large lockers for each - big enough for a large suitcase. Close to Diocletian's Palace, but on a quiet street. Plugs and lamps for each bed.

Location is top notch, close to the city center. Facilities are clean and the staff is very friendly and professional. Would come again!

Great location within an easy walk to beaches bars and everything you could need including a supermarket on the corner. Great price. Very clean and well maintained. Large comfortable beds with a large locked drawer under to store your belongings. Boris was friendly and attentive always willing to help, giving suggestions where best to go if asked and you can book excursions through him too which was handy. Great vibe although this is largely what you make it so it really depends on the guests. We had some great characters staying with us, we had such a good time we stayed two extra nights. As other comments have pointed out there is no kitchen (which is clear in the information for the hostel) this wasn't an issue there are various items kettle, microwave, fridge etc which serve their purpose. If you need a full kitchen to cook a 3 course meal this hostel may not be for you (or any hostel probably). Split is just beautiful and a great base if you want to visit some of the islands as all the tours run from here. I would stay here again 100% We stayed here during covid-19 and never felt uncomfortable.

Very comfortable and convenient hostel - great location, nice beds with massive lockers - extremely practical. Also Boris will go out of his way to help, provide recommendations, and anything else he can do to make your stay a good one!

A lovely, clean, safe and comfortable hostel in the heart of Split town. Beds are comfortable, staff is really helpful and friendly and the place is sparkling clean, which is always a good sign. Each bed has a huge locker, which is really handy. I've spent 4 nights in this hostel and really enjoyed my stay. Thank you to Boris and his team for making my stay so pleasant.

Very clean, it's always pack with bunch of travelers so make your reservation ahead. Great location only a few minutes walk from the old city, price is not bad is only about 150 Kuna per night if I remember correctly. There's no kitchen only a fridge and a microwave in the common area but there are a bunch of places to eat around there.

It is the best hostel and best value for money you will find in Split. The owner is the nicest thing ever, he accepted to check us in later in the evening after a tough situation we had been through that night. The room was super clean, it had perfect air conditioning and the environment was super cool. Average age would be around 22, only young and nice people looking to have fun. Everything runs smoothly. Highly highly recommend!!!

The beds were super comfy, no curtains for privacy though. The bathrooms and all the rooms and common areas were cleamed daily. The door to the showers is frosted but you can still be seen through it. There is a very small area for the kitchen (kettle, toaster) so you can’t really cook food, but it does the job. The location is good, close to supermarket and bakery and about 10/15 mins walk down to the water. There was a great atmosphere here and Boris the owner was great!!

😠 The place is spacious with a nice kitchen. But volunteers seemed a bit weird and uninviting or maybe just lack some interpersonal skills.. only interested in chilling n chitchatting among themselves in the common area and didn’t knew much about the place either as compared to the other hostels that...
