Be careful, the cleaners stole our iPad and are super aggressive and disrespectful… no one had access to the room but them, I went outside of the shower and a brunette cleaner was there, inside my room (even though she saw all my stuff was in the room and there was someone in the bathroom). I was super shocked and asked her to leave the room. Then I checked and my iPad was not there. This happened on the 4th of July 2022.

Hostel at the price of gold and regular service designed to get as much money as possible to tourists. It should be a hostel or apartment and not a hotel: photos far from reality. Price not according to life is Croatia, very expensive. When we arrived at 4 pm the room was unmade and they made us cancel the reservation to get a discount for it: they take advantage of tourists. The only good thing is its location 5 minutes from the center of Split. I do not recommend it, luckily the cleaning staff did not steal anything from us

No one in the locked reception, all lights off when we arrived even if I let them know about our late arrival and they assured me the day before in writing that someone would be waiting for us (after 23h). Call them many times but reception was closed and the 3 phones published (on the door/ on Google/ travel agency) rang inside but of course no one picked them up. Left several messages and emails with no reply. After some time waiting in the street in front of the hotel door, when we were looking for another hotel room, a person in a cafe nearby came to us and said she knew the owner and contacted her. A lady mentioned she was overbooked in the same hotel and waiting for another hotel to reply. Our whole stay (6 days) had already been fully charged in advance. A person came 30min later, gave us the keys and apologized after our complains. However, room was smelly, small and completely unpractical with almost no hangers, not even for the shower towels in bathroom. We stayed 6 days and cleaning service removed towels every day and FORGOT EVERY single day to give us towels, so we had to request them from reception every single time. No coffee / tea replaced either. Very expensive in an already quite expensive town invaded by hordes of tourists. For over a 150€ a night (no breakfast, no parking) I would never recommend this place. Not even worth for half price

I dont recommend this hotel!!! It’s not a hotel, it’s an apartament, however, they chargue you as 4 stars hotel while is a 3 stars and it was very expensive. The check in is at 14pm and we arrive at 16:30pm and the surprise was that one room was dirty without clean and also it smells awful. The recepcionist said sorry but we were waiting 1h and 30 minutes until they clean the room and I requested breakfast for free but they said no, they offer us a discount which is not enough. It’s close to the main square in Split and 10 min walking to the port and the Diocleciano Palace.

We have been travelling around Croatia and this is the worst hotel so far. WiFi did not work in rooms, tv did not work, there was tepid water at best and breakfast was just weird. No choice of items laid out, staff just brought you food, no choice everyone just gets the same...what a waste of food you don't want. I would not recommend this hotel.

Room was pleasant and location was nice directly downtown. Unfortunately the staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. Our stay happened to overlap with a music festival downtown that went on all night and shook the entire building for the duration making sleep very difficult. When we spoke to the front desk the next morning to ask about moving hotels and getting a refund on the remaining nights if they could resell the room the woman at the front desk told us it "wasn't their problem" and they wouldn't do anything.

It was amazing. The owner was extremely nice and let us in a bit earlier than checking. It was honestly a very good experience Also she gave us free coffee when waiting.

Very nice and comfortable rooms near the center of the city. It's beautiful to stay in old houses in romanian style which are old over 500 years, but now modernly equipped. Whole staff is very kind and helpful. Very good stay and we would like to come back there.

Unfortunately this place was not for us. No car access to the hotel, dragged bags for 3+ blocks. No lift to carry bags to room. Climbed 2 flights of stairs. Very small rooms, no space to unpack. No phone in the room. Wifi not reliable. Breakfast at 8, too late for us to attend. Cash only, no cards. However our hostess was VERY nice. And the location is near the port which is nice.

Stayed 7 nights in this beautiful heritage hotel. We didn’t experience any of the negatives that others have mentioned. Location was perfect for us, near to lots of bars, great restaurants and the harbour. We didn’t opt for breakfast at the hotel as there were so many lovely places nearby to try, though I would imagine July August would be extremely busy and it may be wise to have breakfast at the hotel. Inna on reception went above and beyond helping us settle in, helped us with directions daily and even lending us her umbrella on a rainy day! We’ll miss her cheerful smile in the mornings…… 😊 Monica and Peter Robertson 13th - 20th June 2023

If you’re looking for hospitable staff, tidy rooms with new, clean facilities in a great location that’s close to Diocletian’s Palace and the Riva - this is your spot. Felt like a local tucked away in the side streets and it was comfortable walking back to our room after a few glasses of wine. Inna was a stand out, helping us with our luggage and being an all round ray of sunshine. Thanks for the stay! :)

Not good value for money. We got a room with problems in plumbing (literally got flooded 2 times in 12 hours, one coming from the WC, the other one from the shower) with no cleaning employees in the hotel at certain hours of day. And it wasn’t for sure the 1st time it happened as the bathroom door was damaged in the lower part. Moreover the room was tiny and in “ground floor” which means a very small window one with almost no outside lighting. After complaining, we got moved to another room (way better but definitely not a 4*). It had to be the next morning as we had to wait until the responsible started the shift. Need to highlight that in the new room what we got for towels was beach towels the second day… On the other hand, the workers in reception were very nice and tried to help with everything, but the owner should review the experience they provide or the money they charge…

Rented 2 rooms. Last floor, so ceiling takes half the space of the already extremely cramped room. Furniture was very old and not in a good shape. The stairs were steep and didnt have a guard making it dangerous both for kids and elders. As it doesnt have an elevator, you might have to carry your luggage 2 floors up by hand, which, when you re 70years old, aint that easy (especially without the handrail). The rooms do have a good AC, but the building doesnt. The comon space reached certainly well over 40°C making it extremely unpleasant going through the stairs and in or out of the rooms. Location is pretty good, but the name... heritage and palace are certainly missleading to what you'll get. This rooms costed me almost twice what I paid on Sheraton, and i have to say, had i seen the rooms before (which didnt show on the 40+ photos on booking), i would've gone somewhere else and most certainly would have gotten a much better deal. Im sorry for the harsh remarks, but for over 730€ for one night, a certain level of service is expected.

We booked this place through LastMinute and it was advertised as a hotel, but we were put in a very small apartment across the road. The room was nice and modern, but there are no facilities and it was small and extremely noisy (you can hear noise from every other apartment in the building). The cleaners came late afternoon and didn't replace empty toiletries etc. I read of belongings being stolen which doesn't surprise me as there was only a very small, flimsy, free standing safe in the room which was completely pointless. The 2 stars are for the location, which is perfect.

The sanitary ware and bathroom accessories were of good quality, and the large shower created additional comfort. The room looked more like an apartment and had decent luggage and a separate closet. An electronic safe and a small refrigerator came in handy. The bedding and linens were quality and comfortable. A superb continental breakfast with many options was included in the price and paid off. This is a very good accommodation option for Split because it is located in the center of everything and within walking distance of everything. The guy at the front desk was helpful and accommodating with all the information and sharing.

Our hostess Inna was incredibly gracious ensuring we got the best room, always checking to be sure we were satisfied, she was helpful w/ day trip bookings, taxis & location of amenities in town. If anything Inna works too hard (& summer isn’t yet in full swing!!). And the cleaning staff were also exceptional, helpful w/ room amenities, additional cots & direction to locals’ shops nearby. The rooms are authentic, rustic w/ modern bathroom facilities and rooms 8 & 9 very spacious! We highly recommend the hotel, we commend Inna and would go back (hopefully next year!!)

The room had view of a brick wall out one window and what appeard to be downtown Baghdad out the other. The bed was a double but if you do decide to bring your partner bring an air mattress or plan on just sleeping on top of each other because it's tiny . They tried to charge us 40 euro to park In a garage that was a 10 min walk from the hotel ( and have a strict policy of, find the garage yourself , bring the car down, and look after your own bags!) FYI if you do make the mistake of staying here there is a public carpark 3 min walk from the hotel that charges I think 5 euro a day. Check out is 10 in the morning and basically when asked could we pay for a later checkout we were told no you need to get out as where fully booked. Really unhelpful and didn't offer any support.

Stayed for 6 nights. The bedroom was nice and a comfortable size. The shower temperature would alter itself without touching it! The bedsheets weren't changed once. The breakfast was not a buffet. They served us yoghurt with about 25g of oats with a multivitamin orange drink. Then we received 4 small warm bread rolls with an omelette (not asked how we like it done or even asked if we wanted it), cheese and ham. The hotel provided us with beach towels which was appreciated. They also organised a taxi to the airport at 3am (cost 500 kuna/ €66). Location was great, less than a five minute walk to the Old Town. Not a four star boutique hotel.

A very beautiful little hotel in the heart of the old town. Just a few minutes' walk to the Riva. This being said, the hotel cannot be reached directly by car. The rooms are beautiful, rustic without looking outdated. Our bathroom was quite generous. Staff was very nice as well. One should keep in mind that an old building with wooden floors doesn't have the best sound insulation. We could hear someone snore through the wall. I would have rated it with 5 stars if the place had kept everything it promises on the website and even in the brochure in the rooms. It is not very professional to announce card payments are possible and then accept only cash payment. When it comes to breakfast, the award for false advertising goes to this hotel. You are promised a buffet with lots of choices, pasteies, handmade Croatian desserts...the list in your room is so promising. Then you want to get it...and find breakfast is served at the table and you won't even be asked what you would like. It's exactly the same every day. A glass of watery orange juice, two small pieces of bread, four small slices of cheese, two slices of cooked ham, a slab of marmelade (the same every day), an omelette, a glass with yoghurt and about a tablespoon of cereals, two tomato slices, two cucumber slices and two slices of watermelon. At least you have access to the coffee machine which offers some choices. You won't go hungry, but for 15 Euro, you'd expect so much better.

Absolutely incredible ! I would recommend everyone coming to split to stay here, it's so nice to be in a traditional setting that has been completely modernised. The staff were so attentive and nice to me, I would definitely stay here again

The room was not done when we arrived late, they had put the ribbon over the toilet as if the room had been done but the bin was full and bedsheets dirty. I think the cleaning is not correct but apart from that it's a wonderful hotel very well located and the food is excellent , esp breakfast. They apologised and offered a refund for the inconvenience, so it's a nice team but clearly they should require more for cleaning esp in times of covid. They should also clearly say it's hard to park and not advertise with parking on the other side of the street because there are lots of parkings everywhere but they are full, so be aware it's a 15 mn walking minimum which is not so much of an inconvenience but it's better to let people know.

We had six lovely days at this little gem! The room was great and the staff wonderful. The breakfast was great with a plate of everything. We will definitely come back there! My wife had her bithday one of the days and for that they arranged an "extended" breakfast, lovely!

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights while in Split. The rooms were decent and clean, and the location was good. The service at the hotel I would describe as poor. First, they require you to pay for everything in cash at check in. I booked my hotel through points and was expecting to have to pay cash at check out for the city tax. They also made us prepay when we checked in for parking, COVID testing ect. I did not mind, other then the fact that I was not warned ahead of time and did not have cash. They then sent us to the ATM conveniently located right out front of the hotel. The fee was ridiculous at this ATM. I felt that the cash only aspect is really poor for travel. That wasn’t my only complaint with the hotel. One night my husband and I wanted to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine from a bottle we bought on our trip. We were told that we were not allowed to sit in there terrace and drink our wine as we didn’t buy it there. At this time the terrace was EMPTY and we were patrons of the hotel. Plus our small room didn’t have a seating area to enjoy it. I felt that this was completely poor service. Rooms were clean but service left something to be desired.

Great desk staff. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful on restaurants. Even had towels for our day trip to the beach in Hvar. Nice big rooms( 101 and 102-Luxury rooms) good air conditioning. Great location, just outside the palace.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The super friendly and helpful staff really brightened up our vacation. The hotel is clean, spacious and our room was really quiet. There is even a nice terrace where it is nice to have breakfast

Very friendly and charming staff were happy to help and eager to please - they helped to park our car for us, recommended a fantastic dinner, and made me an afternoon latte. The room itself was excellent with everything needed for a perfect stay: comfy bed, big & modern shower, quiet, and plenty of space to spread out. Location couldn't have been better as it was so easy to enter right into the pedestrian area in the old town.

😠 DO NOT STAY HERE. As soon as I walked into my hotel room I got on my phone and tried to find an alternate hotel. This was by far the worst hotel I have ever seen. Says its a 4 star hotel but should be a 2 star. Walked into my room and there were stains all over the carpet- very very dirty. Requested...
