If I could give zero stars I would. This was hands down the worst service I have experienced. Completely unfriendly, unaccommodating and rude waiter. Firstly the table was never cleaned (bits of food still left on the tablecloth), and then the glasses turned up dirty (with actual bits of dirt inside). Despite this the waiter refused to replace the glass or do anything about it! Asked for butter with our bread, and the waiter rolled his eyes and never brought anything over. Really would avoid at all costs- was nothing pleasant about it.

If you want a good breakfast dont go here… 10 euro for a few eggs with 3 halve slices of bread and a few slices of vegetables.. Better spend your money somewhere else..

Cute little place, colorfoul, just close enough to korzo/centre area but hidden in a cute pictoresque street😍(reminds me of Spanish streets). The food was excellent, we had seabass and pasta and both were really good, honestly the best food I had at the seaside so far. 👌 We also had amazing wine and gin tonic👌🍹 Staff was great, fun and helpful, we stayed there for a few hours, and we would definitely recommend it to everyone 👌❤️ Enjoy!

Great place to start your day with the best espresso of Split. Also the Psd Thai is a great option on the menu! The waiter is very friendly and was always in for a talk. 6/7 mornings of our holiday started at the banana split!

Strange place, I can’t remember the food or wine, it’s been forgotten because of the childish, public rant by the waiter asking patrons if they support the wearing of masks in public. Felt a bit like a rally for people who like to build walls. Unless you like your wine accompanied with a plate of cold politics then you can safely to look elsewhere for good food.

The food was not bad, but the service was terrible. If you want to see comedy on service, go right here. We sat at an empty table without a meal ticket, which we started sharing with other customers at other tables. The waiter was completely confused, running from table to table without serving anyone properly. We had to laugh. We stopped laughing when the waiter started kicking us out of the table and wanted to offer our table to other people, but we still have drinks. There were different prices on the ticket than the meal plan. Other people go away from their empty tables because of bad service. One big disaster.

It’s a cute restaurant. I had the Homemade “my wife made it “ cake and it was really good. The young waiter was actually really nice and suggested a good wine. I think depending on the cultural background, he could be “a bit too much” for the more closed people .. but in general he was talkative and funny.

The service was best. I had ordered wrong food so it was ok. Rest of us had a good food. Prices are reasonable and good ambience. Overall good experience

We just wanted a drink, so fine to say we only serve food but the woman who served us was very rude and unpleasant, it doesn’t take much to be polite. Recommend to avoid

Do not eat here.OK for a drink, waiter nice. But food poisoning from the tuna ..wish I'd seen other reviews first. Very expensive, substandard food, with a healthy dose of bacteria. Ruined the end of my holiday.

Location and outdoor seating terrace is the only thing worth praising here. It’s perfect for a quick drink stop off but nothing more than that. We had breakfast and it is some of the most basic food you will ever receive at a restaurant. Should maybe just be a bar

Excellent local fish dishes with a unique Asian twist. The portions are on a smaller side but the quality is amazing. Really enjoyed their succulent John dori fish and a tuna steak. Very friendly waiters!

Terrible service for such an expensive place. It took a long time for us to be able to order, and it came to the point I didn’t even want to stay. The silverware was dirty and after ordering I had to go to the pizza place next door since I was still hungry.

Nothing was good about this place except the waiter that was kind of nice. I had eggs for breakfast, couldnt eat half of it. My gf had the Club sandwich, drier than the Sahara, no mayo. The cuttlery wasnt clean. I am not a very picky eater but this was 0/5

Avoid. Was forced to eat here since it was raining and we had out luggage with us. Shortly we wished we were back in the rain instead of there eating. Everything is dirty, food is awful and service seems like they were trying to make the experience as bad as possible.

Forgot the name and enjoy the food, great service, delicious wine and wonderful ambiance. Very reasonable prices. Just had a super delicious Pad Thai. You need to reserve to make sure you can enjoy a great evening at this place. Very highly recommended.

We are ONLY reviewing for breakfast. The location is nice, and surprisingly always full. The breakfast options, though, are quite sad. We had sunny side up eggs that come with basic white bread (2 portions) and 2 coffees and payed 35 euros. The eggs were done randomly, 1 of them was broken and almost un-existent, 1 of them really uncooked. The waitress was really unfriendly and unwelcoming (was not expecting smiles and applauses, but really made us feel we were bothering her). Coffee also not really good.

We had tuna, it was not fresh 2 of us were very sick after it. Next time warn your custumers that it needs to be welldone you cant serve old tuna steak rare... it was no fun shiting and felling sick on my vaccation.

Great laid back atmosphere. With a waiter that really works hard to serve and entertain you. Good food with a very welcome change from the typical Split menu. Divers options like fish, pasta, gnocci with traditional beef stew, pad Thai: All great, and the kids loved it too. The terrace, overlooking the small square, with calm music (in contrast to the load club music played in most the restaurants in the centre! Why do they all do that?) Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

The location of BananaSplit is great as well as the ambiance, so I was surprised that a place that has everything going for it lacks so much food quality wise. We had the padthai and the salad, which were sadly disappointing, lacked flavour and did not match the description in the menu. Suggest to avoid unless you are going for drinks. In its defense though, staff were kind and trying hard.

The waiter was one of the best waiter i have ever seen. He was very friendly, funny, professional and such a kind guy. I ate one time there a club sandwich chicken and it was incredible. When I’m in Split i go definitely to this Restaurant.

Waiter not very happy as we were only ordering coffee. 2 Americanos with a milk on the side cost 9 .80 euro. We thought he had made a mistake but the small milk on the side cost another 3 euros. We had coffee today with a harbour view for 3.5 euros. I know where I’m going for coffee tomorrow.

This was easily our worst experience in Split...no, Croatia....no, all of Europe. The food, the service, everything. We came here for dinner. The biggest problem was the waiter, who is named "Mia K" according to our receipt. Jesus Christ. It was amazing how foolish he behaved. When he took our order, he speculated we had Italian blood because of my father's nose, which he described as in a pejorative way. He then openly complained how much he disliked Italians, going as far as to say he hated them and they were his primary customers. Good logic there, mate. When he wasn't busy offending us, he would rarely check on us. The one time he did, he just complained about his job and how busy it was. It's a very small restaurant and we were there on a week day. There were two other tables with people. Get real. We ordered an appetizer that was never brought out, and when asked, this waiter admitted he never submitted it. He then responded in a combative manner that of course we wouldn't be charged. That absolutely wasn't clear, as we just learned he failed to complete the order. The waiter brought out an already opened wine bottle with the cork loosely placed back in the top, and then pretended to finish opening the bottle in front of us. The cork made no pop, so it either was genuinely opened away from us and he faked opening it, or it had been previously opened and they are just swapping out wine in the back. He even made some comment about how there was no sound to sell the lie... like we were children. We had the risotto and shrimp scampi. The risotto had shells in it that had to be picked out, and the scampi tasted like it was cooked in store-bought Ragu sauce. We didn't even finish either. The flavor of the risotto was decent, it was just prepared with no care. The one thing this place has going for it is it has an attractive exterior, which is what made one of our party want to go there. It's very lovely, but don't be fooled by that. Split has amazing food and outstanding people. This restaurant has neither.
