Reception were very unwelcoming, we walked in on the first day and they were just staring at us, without a smile or hello. Once we reached the desk the receptionist asked ‘do you have a reservation’ without greeting us (where’s the basic hospitality???) Swimming pools were not heated even though they claimed they were Breakfast buffet mediocre Location is far from city center split Laundry shirt still had a stain Massage ladies from the spa were fantastic and kind Overall, I would not recommend this hotel due to the unfriendliness of the staff, location, and rooms

Lovely room with a sea view and great pool area with jacuzzi. Amazing massages and fully kitted out gym. However the hotel is a bit far out from central split so to do any sightseeing you will need a taxi or to catch the bus. The location would be less of a problem if their restaurant had more variety and was more child friendly. However they offer an amazing breakfast buffet that cater to all nationalities and they even off a breakfast box for if you have to leave really early

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! They have a good gym, beautiful swimming pools and spa! Sauna with sea view is unique! Bedroom and welcome were as lovely as staff working in the hotel. Very clean place. Perfect location beachfront.

Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. Great balcony size, quiet for bedtime, and overall very low noise level. The breakfast was amazing! I wish we had half board so we could’ve experienced dinner as well. Their spa facility is great too.

Absolutely amazing. Went here with my wife for our honeymoon in the beginning of September. The staff were great and the hotel was a great value, from the view to the amenities. The gym was state of the art equipment too We had a lot of fun, and the sauna/spa service was a great value. Looking forward to our next visit here!

Nice clean room. Very nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Pools are nice, inside and out. The rooftop bar was closed, which was a pity. At least leave some lights on if guest want to enjoy the evening view. A massage is not cheap at this hotel. It is nice, but do not expect anything extra like a glass of water or cup of tea afterwards.

We stayed at LUX with a private Jacuzzi for two nights. It was definitely a huge apartment with a balcony in each room and a living room. However, no amenities were provided except for shower gel. The air conditioners in the bedrooms were not functional, and there was no hot water in the shower. The receptionists and other hotel staffs were a bit unhelpful, and the food variety was limited for in-room dining.

Incredible panorama from the balcony of the clean and well equipped rooms. Absolute waterfront location in quiet neighborhood (Znjan), walking distance to centrum (20-30 minutes, easy to find, beautiful walk actually). Sauna and spa look fancy but lack the basics, sauna with 40 degrees does not qualify as a sauna, steam bath also quite cold, dark, and a bit smelly, no options to hang your towel or put your stuff (like glasses/mobile phone). More options to take a cold shower and a plunge pool would be nice, but therefore the sauna should work appropriate. Nice indoor and outdoor pools with the same stunning views on the surrounding landscape. Bit expensive for shoulder season.

The room was perfect, clean, well furnished and the view was beautiful - one of our best in our life. We received a room on the 9th floor, with breathtaking sea view even from the bed. The breakfast was various, contained many specialities. We enjoyed the wellnes area, loved the sauna with sea view, and the pool of course. Only one thing needs to improve: the waiting time at the reception at check-in was very long with queuing. Should be there more receptionists and would be better a simplified check-in process when high seasons.

Fantastic. Great rooms with high-end finish, floor heating and alu-wood framed sliding doors and widows. Great self-service breakfast and pleasant pool with extras such as saunas. Very kind service.

Only reason for four stars was because our sheets were stained. The hotel has a great atmosphere and right across from the beach. The pool was great, although we were not told about a towel card until we got to the pool, and the food was delicious. Their breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had. I would return for that alone. I do wish the rooftop bar was functional though.

amazing hotel! very friendly and quick service. the sea view rooms are very good, with a perfect view. the wellness and pool are great as well. the only bit of criticism I have: the room gets muggy quite easy, so you have to sleep with the windows open to keep the fresh air in!

Staff were notably unfriendly for the most part with the exception of one girl we met at the bar during the day two days. Reception on arrival was uninterested and bordered on rude, whilst we had a quiet late arrival due to a late flight, it was not the reception we anticipated for what is rated a four star hotel. Housekeeping was certainly not up to a four star standard, we arrived back to our rooms one day with no towels as our dirty towels had been removed without replacing. After four nights we stripped our beds as we needed the sheets to be changed as we had been very active during the days. Overall bar the staff & housekeeping the hotel is quiet with the beach directly across from it. The pools were warm but the outdoor pool does not receive sun until after eleven just to note. Loads of parking and the hotel was quiet. The rooftop bar is open until 1am, we were on the floor directly underneath and whilst we could hear music it was not extremely loud. If staff were better trained I would happily go back however at the rate we were paying to be so far out from the town and for the experience we got I would not currently return

We stayed at Amphora for the second time, for sure there will be third, fourth, etc. Great location right on the beach, all day free and paying parking available, comfortable, clean and well equiped room, great balcony with sea view. Our dog also enjoyed her stay in the room, loved balcony and grassy surroundings :-), breakfast well balanced, dinner superb. Hotel staff very kind and helpful. Only do please improve 5/0.5 Wifi speed, my teenage son was moaning a lot about it. Overall, great stay.

The staff is an amazing asset to the hotel. Some of the best service I had in this world. Especially Ivana from reception who goes above and beyond for her guests. I’ve never met a friendlier person who was so engaged into the guests well being and satisfaction. Breakfast was also very taste and the selection is abundant without compromising quality. Definitely will come back here again.

This hotel was good, but it’s new - you’ll see on Google earth that there is no hotel in the picture! So they did have some teething problems as this summer was their first proper summer since covid. My small but annoying bug bear was that there were always big queues for the coffee in the morning - I spoke to the manager and he was very nice, but clearly they were not prepared for 400 people coming to breakfast everyday. Only 2 coffee machines and they were slow and no separate hot water machine. I think they also needed more reception staff as we always had to queue there too. The facilities however overall were very good - one pool on the roof, and two others - one inside and one outside. The one thing our teenage kids loved (and me!) was there was an inflatable water park by the beach! Also please note that there are 2 buildings in this hotel and if you are in the smaller part like we were, you do a lot more walking/stairs/lifts! But you do get the pool on your roof! Breakfasts were really good apart from the coffee queue - lots of variety from the healthy to the more heart attack inducing pastries etc! 😂

This hotel is just perfect for a relaxing stay. It is located in front of the sea and beaches in this area are beautiful. The swimming pools and spa with panoramic view to the sea are unique. Room was spacious, very clean, bed was good. The staff working in the hotel is very kind and always available to help. Breakfast is excellent, with a lot of choice. I attended a three days meeting (more than 100 persons) in Amphora and I can tell it is one of the best organization I have ever seen. Excellent service for lunches and coffee breaks.

This is the best hotel in Dalmatia in terms of comfort, price, unbelievably kind staff, especially at reception, simple access and parking, wonderful practical rooms with all comforts needed, great breakfast and so much more. Forget pulling your suitcases all over the Old Town. This is 6 minute walk and your best choice in Split without a doubt

If not consider awful bread and steamers for breakfast, it was one of the best hotel we've ever stayed at. We slept in this big apartment with sea view. The room was massive, well designed, with large balcony. Wellness, pool with glass wall facing the beach! We all wished we could have spent the more time. Congrats!

Exceptional hotel, amazing room with great views, extensive buffet with many offers for everyone. The staff are very friendly and helpful and always with a smile on their face. The only thing I'd recommend since I am in the industry is to that they need some more product knowledge, especially on drinks. You have an amazing roof tops bar, make it amazing, through sunset parties.. Anyway, all in all, a great hotel and would definitely recommend. We'll done!! :)

Hotel was fabulous! I would come back for the breakfast spread alone. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful. It was about a two mile walk to the old town or a super quick Uber (they’re priced more friendly than the taxis). Hotel also has several small pebble beaches right out front to go swim / layout!

Everything was perfect, from the surprisingly spacious rooms to the relaxing spas. The service is only 4* because we didn't use it but the people at the reception were very welcoming and even shared facts and tips with us! I'm not even being paid to say this but I just wanted to say that this hotel is impeccable! There's even a beach right outside☺️

I often come to this hotel to enjoy the spa, it's a great deal! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. They have a possibility of monthly membership. One of my favorites in split

This hotel is supposed to be a four star hotel. They only give complimentary water on the first day after that you have to buy it. .. so if I were to check out and check back in I would get water? The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are comfortable. The wall behind the bed was a bit dusty. The views are spectacular! The prices of the drinks are crazy over priced and the breakfast has a lot of options but the food is not hot and not the best. Villy was our best server on our first night as he was fun and made us laugh!

Would never recommend this hotel to anyone - they completely spoilt our holiday. The reception staff was extremely rude, the rooms cleanliness was not at par (stained cups, and if used they do not replace). Basically the service is next to non existent. Providing 2 stars only because I would have rated the wellness amenities and spa staff as 5/5. Otherwise, this hotel seriously needs better management.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, stunning decor, great amenities, amazing location, right by the beach, just a 10 minute bus ride into the hustle & bustle of Split town & Harbour. Bus stop 20 metres from hotel door. Views from balconies were spectacular, uninterrupted towards the various islands of Hvar, Brac, Solta in the distance. Great breakfasts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, would highly recommend

This is a great hotel with excellent facilities that is right on the beach. The rooms are spacious and well designed, the service is polite and accommodating and the food is delicious. I came here on a business trip but made the most of the swimming pools and gym in the evenings. I would definitely come back on holiday to this hotel. The only down side was there was a lot of drainage works going on outside the hotel which closed the main road and diverted the bus route which meant it was much more difficult to travel around. The disruption caused by the works also meant most of the businesses along the beach were closed. But this was obviously not the hotel's fault.

Nice room, big enough for a family. Nice facilities with pool with beautiful sea view. However, we booked a room withbalcony and sea view. Both are lacking, we have a terrace, and if you go out and look to the right you can see part of the sea. From the room we look at a building next to us. When we shared this with reception no solution was provided (yet). Only moving one floor up after our first night to the room above if this one comes available, but also this room has same view probably. We will discuss this again at reception today because we have 3 more nights here, if things change I will update this review. So far disappointing considering the price we paid and promises they made with description on Booking. Update: they were not able or willing to book is to another accomodation with a better view. However they offered us a discount which is appreciated. I suggest you change your description on Booking.

Excellent hotel on the seafront with spa facilities (pools, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Breakfast included (and excellent). Not so many things around - there is a supermarket 400m away, but you need a bus or taxi to get to the city or to restaurants.

Amazing place. We had the best rooms with sea facing views. You can never get bored even on a rainy day. Very nice breakfast and room service. Good swimming pools and nice fitness and spa facilities. I would love to stay here again.

My room was facing the sea. I had the wonderful view all day long. The breakfast was delicious, variety of food. The place is huge, natural light. You must try their spa, sauna and gym. I enjoyed my experience there and the staff accommodated me so well. I recommend Amphora Hotel 5/5

We were recommended the Garden apartments (the wing behind the Hotel) and it was superb. Perfect for a family of 5. We spent 2 relaxing days here at the end of our trip and the Spa was lovely. Our kids were able to use the pool and Spa here. Breakfast was good with a wide variety. The waffles a bit dry as they were pre- made and the omelette station could have 2 people there instead of just 1. The coffee machines were also temperamental but otherwise it was great.

Love the spa. Petra was amazing receptionist. Ivanka’s massages were incredible. They helped make this a part of my weekend routine

  • 3/5 Hussein K. 9 months ago on Google
The rooms are good, the balcony was VERY spacious, the bathroom is clean, facilities are good, but the swimming pool area didnt have access to the beach so you have to go down and exsit from the lobby to the beach which was poorly planned tbh. service was horrendous. House keeping cleaned the room without changing the towels, without cleaning the used tea cups, who leaves used tea mugs uncleaned on the table? They didn’t even bother to provide tissue box and toilet papers. The receptionists are useless as they get, they don’t have answers to anything literally. When we asked them for tissue and toiletries he said that it is late and he is the only one working and cannot leave the desk unattended. It was 11 PM on a weekend btw.

Nice, modern, spacious rooms that are well maintained. While the front desk / concierge is nice... Some service staff seemed a bit stiff... e.g. no thank you given after handing 25% tip, which I was hoping would at least induce a smile. The breakfast was pretty decent, but for dinner... the food and service was surprisingly subpar. The outdoor patio area for the hotel restaurant is also quite nice. But generally most seats need much more regular cleaning of bird droppings. The pool area is a highlight to the hotel. A shame they haven't also opened up the rooftop bar or pool.

The hotel is very good but the location is not ideal, about one hour walk to old Split. Easy and free parking right in front. Ubers to Split take about 15 minutes. Breakfast buffet is very good and complete, one of the best we’ve had.

  • 5/5 Shirley J. 9 months ago on Google
Loved our stay in this luxurious hotel. Choice of pools, very nice spa, great choice at breakfast, atmospheric roof top bar opened while we were there. Staff were lovely. It is a short taxi ride to the old town of Split which has a lot more going on than Zjan.

Fantastic view to the sea and Islands in strong bura. Great room with large bed. Bathroom very nice and clean. Hotel bar at reception was very nice and Petra is a perfect waitress. Breakfast had "everything" good coffee from machine. Excellent home made yoghurt.

Amazing hotel. Modern with spacious rooms. It is clear that they put alot of thought and effort into designing the hotel and rooms. The pool and spa area with complimentary sauna access is phenomenal. Excellent breakfast buffet with a variety of options. Across from a clean and beautiful beach as well. Would highly recommend!

The staff at Amphora are hands down the best we have ever encountered in our many collective years of traveling. Every single individual was friendly, professional, generous, and honestly a true pleasure with which to interact. This applies to the reception and bar staff as much as the cleaning and wellness center staff. They constantly went above and beyond and gave the hotel a welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere. Hotel Amphora is a stylish, comfortable hotel in a great location right on the beach overlooking the sea. On it's own, it would be a nice place to stay. But with the staff members, it is an extraordinary experience and we can't wait for the chance to go back and stay again!

Tjedan restorana review, really nice hotel and design but promotion during Restaurant week awful. Food was not cooked enough in case of "Pljukanci", turkey steak was over grilled and not possible to be called a steak while potato and asparagus was so overcooked that it was falling apart and without any taste. Desert was good but it didn't saved the day. Plates were dirty a lot of fingerprints and back of plates was so dirty that left marks on table cover. Staff was nice and polite.

The hotel and the apartments are really nice. We stayed at the apartments. They had comfy beds, great bathroom, microwave, water cooker, ceramic top, fridge and so on. The internet is slow, they still use wifi 5. That's not good enough with so many guests. The pool on above apartments is great with great view. Downside is that the guests in the apartments can't use the pool of the hotel. The breakfast is really good. But the staff is inexperienced, mostly young people with bad childish dress code and sneakers. I asked one of them to warm up some milk for my 1 year old daughter, he came back with hot milk, could barely hold the bottle with my bare hands.

We expected more of this four star hotel! The food is good and overall breakfast is great, the location is super because it is in front of the beach BUT the housekeeping did not clean the room for 2 days which is unacceptable when you are paying this much also the first day when they "cleaned" the room they did not take the trash and we stayed with full bin for 4 days!? We asked our room to be cleaned but nobody did it anyway. The pool is very small and also the area around the infinity pool is full of trash and nobody clean it!! I would not pay this much for this hotel again.

Great hotel. Excellent customer service and staff who are very accommodating and polite. They were very easy to work with on our dietary requirements and helped us out massively. The cleanliness is also something that is amazing as often this gets overlooked in large enterprises like these. It is all rather new too and has got a lovely spa area and indoor and outdoor swimming pools with sun beds. Great experience. Would certainly recommend and would come back here myself.

We experienced the service to be awfully slow (if we were lucky enough to get noticed by a waiter at all). Staff definitely needs more training and motivation to work. The breakfast is good, but within 2 weeks, we only got filter coffee three times as the machine was broken and nobody seemed to know how to fix it. When the machine wasn’t broken, it was mostly empty, no one took care of making a new one. This should be the bare minimum a hotel can offer for breakfast. Not to mention the hotel dinner buffet which was cold, no matter what time it was. You see signs in front of the elevators requesting to wear masks inside, covering mouth and nose. Nevertheless, most hotel guests didn’t wear any masks at all (without consequences) and the hotel staff had their masks way below mouth and nose. The room was beautiful, unfortunately two days before we checked out, they completely stopped cleaning the room, even though we had the sign hanging on the door. The hotel has a beautiful roof top terrace, but no staff to be seen, the “bar” was completely empty. Last but not least, a pair of earrings got stolen from the bathroom in our hotel room. The way the hotel managed our matter was not satisfying at all, instead, they kept us waiting. We then sent an email asking how the hotel is going to handle the issue, and again: very poor service and no courtesy at all. I believe that the hotel has great potential, but unfortunately, we left disappointed on many levels and definitely won’t book this hotel again. The little they offered was surely not worth the money.
