So in love with the Paleo waffle! This was my first time visiting and won't be my last. The service was fast and friendly, plus the food was amazing. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent food. Had biscuits and gravy with a side of delicious fat link sausage. Best biscuits in CDA hands down. Husband had French toast which he pronounced excellent (and he's darned fussy about his French toast) Brother had omelette with gorgeous hash browns and a side of zucchini bread which he said was all delicious. Only objection is temperature. Please heat the plates and the cups, otherwise the moment you put hot tea in a cold cup, it's no longer hot tea. Same for hot food on a cold plate, especially if it waits more than a few seconds before being delivered to the table.

A true staple of CdA — been around since the mid 90s and has been busy the whole time for a reason. Predictably delicious food that now feels nostalgic. Biscuits and sausage gravy and delectable, the eggs Benedict and fantastic and come with thin grilled ribbons of ham (not a giant steak), the bacon is scrumptious and the hot chocolate is somehow so special. Oh and the Tiger sauce — put it on everything.

YUMMY! Food was great, I ordered the Custard Style French Toast and my husband got the Hog Scrambler. Prices were also reasonable. Only docked one star for the Service. She was nice but not very attentive or conversational. Both of us asked for orange juice and only gave us one glass (fine with us bc we just shared it but..) When we were ready to leave it was hard to spot her even walking around. Probably just that person bc everyone else we came into contact with was great!

There's a reason they stay so darn busy. The chicken fried steak & eggs was perfect, the gravy just right. The coffee was good. And those humongous pancakes were oh so good. I asked for extra butter & they delivered. It's not cold butter, not out of packets, it's exactly what you want when having pancakes. We received fast & efficient service from our waitress. We will return, no doubt about it. Except we may order 1 pancake next time, as they are huge. There was a wait, this place is always packed on weekends. But the wait is worth it

Amazing food. Local vibes, and you're out of your mind if you skip the biscuits and gravy. So good I forgot to take a picture 😂

Food was good! However, when my friend and I finished our food we were visiting. We hadn’t seen each other for awhile so we were getting caught up. I admit it was about 15 minutes of us talking and finishing up our $3.00 coffee we bought. We were asked to leave from staff because they needed our table. I will not go back and I will tell people my story to everyone I know. I know a lot of people in this area.I’m pretty well connected. I will never recommend this restaurant. I hope it was worth it to have our table Michael d. I’m not even upset I’m just in shock.

Quaint and cozy little neighborhood family restaurant with friendly staff and great food. Restaurant busy on arrival (Sunday), but our wait time for a party of 3 was under 5 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly and attentative to our table. The restaurant was pretty quiet for the amount of people dining. Our food was cooked to order and the portions mighty. I definitely would suggest the pancakes, which are served with a honey/cinnamon butter, a short stack will do! Also, the sausage links are a must. The reason for a four star review, and my only quibble, was the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was served as if it had sat out on the counter for awhile and therefore had been served on the cold side and had an usual sweet taste to it, unlike a more traditional peppery taste most often apparent in biscuits & gravy. All in all, a very good family restaurant, and definitely worth visiting again

Honestly, I really enjoy this place, when it comes to breakfast and lunch. I didn't know about this place until my coworker mentioned about it and we tried it. I have always got the same order and each one was really good (the type of good that makes you sleep). Customers service is great and always on top of things, being able to know when your coffee is low and refill it, to giving you your ticket to pay and not waiting a long time. I approve of this place.

Terrific mom & pop diner. The food is WO derful, staff is great, location is good. They have amazing corned beef... Not the canned stuff you'd get at other diners. This is the shredded beef. This is yummy.

We try to eat breakfast here every time we go to Coeur d'Alene. The food is fantastic and there is something for everyone, to include Paleo options. The staff, as well as the owner, are very friendly and personable. The owner comes to sit and chat with us when we are there!

Very generous with amount of food you get. Couldn't eat all of it. Ordered omelet with potatoes and English muffin. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy and couldn't eat all of his either. Very good. Highly recommend this place

Absolutely delicious! Will not be disappointed. We had Irish scrambler, Blueberry pancakes, chicken fried steak. All was spectacular. Great, friendly service and warm atmosphere.

We got takeout and this place was amazing. The zucchini bread is fantastic. I got country fried steak with potatoes and eggs and it was enough for two meals. The sausage gravy is some of the best I've had.

Overall a good option for brunch. We went at a busier time, husband had the biscuits and gravy with a slice of ham on the side, I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with zucchini bread. Our friend had a dish called the ham scrambler as well, he did have to ask for a new water as pink stuff was floating in it. However all dishes were good, the eggs we're hiding under the chicken fried steak, and it was smothered in gravy, it was literally falling off of my plate, this did cause a mess with my clothing, and on their table which we sticking to. The waitress saw and was kind enough to bring me more napkins.I feel serving the chicken fried steak meal on two different plates could resolve this issue or just serving it on a larger plate. There is limited space for seating and we were asked to move along as they had people waiting at the front door to be seated. Super busy place but overall good.

Awesome history and great service! The artwork was incredible. The Benedict was one of the best I've had and you can tell the biscuits and waffles were made from scratch.

This is a picture of the perfect, classic breakfast joint. Delicious, hearty meals - great food without the fuss. Tried the hash, zucchini bread, biscuits and gravy, and the chicken fried steak. All delicious!

Driving through on a roadtrip and checked out reviews for this place. Thought hey, sounds like a good place. Food was good. Would not recommend the biscuits and gravy. Although the service was horrible. Our waitress never came to check on us, never filled our coffee or water, never asked how everything was. As a waitress you should check on your tables. She even brought us drinks from a different table and as she set them down I said wrong table and she realized. I understand if the restaurant is busy you have a lot to take of but we pay for service

Have Eaten here dozens of times it is such a great breakfast resturaunt. It is one of the best breakfast options in town. Get the homemade zuchini bread for sure its such a treat. Be warned it is usually very busy so it can be quite a wait to get a table.

Just going by what I had. Had the scramble in a pan. Country potatoes and cheese and ham..... Flavors kind of blended together. It was alright. I prefer the scramble at LePeep. More individual flavors and taste. MD'sEatery is worth going back to for something else to try. I liked the place when it was The Boat drive in years and years ago 😃

Owner was very kind and attentive to me and my group! Waitress was on top of everything! She brought hot chocolates out and put a few ice cubes to help the kiddos out! With all the chaos we left our leftover and the owner ran all the way to us to make sure we didn’t forget it. The kindness and thoughtfulness with this restaurant was an absolute 10/10! The food was also really good! My plate was definitely full and my tummy was happy!

Worth the wait! I had an omelet with the potatoes. I was impressed. The eggs in the omelet were very flavorful and the home potatoes had a rosemary season that was just right. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch 😋

We had an awesome breakfast, great pancake for a side item, comfortable seating, friendly servers, large delicious portions, the owner came up n visited us and was very personable and friendly! We went back for lunch another day, and I ate THE most delicious bacon cheeseburger, the best I have eaten in a LONG time! Kudos!!

I wouldn't say I'm a picky eater necessarily, but I do tend to critique many meals I've eaten over the years. But this place satisfied me completely. I was extremely happy with the service with the price but especially with the food. It was fantastic. Thank you!.

Michael D's is a must experience. Experience the hometown feel. Hometown food! Walk in and your most likely to be greeted by Michael D himself. Never ever have had a bad waitress, hostess or bus person. Cooks always seem to be having a great time. Always love the atmosphere and anything on the menu. Generous proportions. Ample parking. Always look forward to eating there.

We ate breakfast here. One of the options for the toast was zucchini bread! I haven't ever seen that on a menu. I of course ordered it. They bake it fresh daily and brought me a mini loaf. Loved the idea. Service was good. Food was good, but not amazing.

Very crowded at 1030 I only had Market spice tea. It was good but waitress didn't come back for a refill until my visit almost over. It's crowded so I suppose food to others good. Many people have "LOVED" this place for years not fancy I saw hamburgers were about 13.00 with fries so that's what I noticed. Waitress was busy.

Great food, service and in a great spot to get away for a different scene. We really enjoy driving 1hr for this hole in the wall breakfast. Totally worth the time. Be careful on parking. Not tons of room so plan on coming early.

Very convenient location to gas up and get some great food. Hubby ordered Eggs Benedict, he said it was great, he'd order it again. I ordered Reuben Sandwich, it was fantastic, it's normally hard to say I'd order a Reuben again from other restaurants, but I'd order it again from Michael D's. Our server was personable and professional, sweet gal, the place was clean and homey. Lastly, great coffee!!!
