As others have said, there's not a bad sight line in the house. Convenient parking right outside the venue (10$ cash only). Numerous bars throughout make it incredibly easy to grab a drink. Staff was decent. There's metal detectors when you go in and you have to empty your pockets/remove all metal (This should be standard practice at EVERY concert venue in today's world). Overall, I'm really impressed with the venue. I hadn't been there in about 13 years and they've made some really positive changes. Great place to see a show.

The show I saw was sold out so the venue felt overly full. I did appreciate the different sections in the back and sides that were raised. Being 5'3", having a place to stand that was higher than the pit was awesome. Also the bathrooms were the prettiest and most comfortable I've ever experienced at a venue. What I did not like: the venue is in the middle of nowhere, they charged $10 for parking even though it is on premises, and there was no traffic management coming in or leaving the event. With people crossing the road and traffic coming from both directions it felt like an accident waiting to happen.

I’ve been going to this NJ historical venue for 20+ yrs- a must for all your favor bands. Easy, paid parking right outside the venue, $3 coat check, outdoor smoking section, bar & pizza available, perfectly sized showroom with many options of places to view the show from the wknds or the back by the bar. The most pit is wider than it is long so you have a great view and can easily make it to the front with enough elbow grease. Enjoy the show!

One of the best live music venues on the East Coast. Great Sound, professional staff, plenty of solid sight lines, lots of bars. Parking is limited, but the VFW across the road offers event parking for only $10.

Having gone to this concert hall dozens upon dozens of times in high school and there after it was nice to see hardly anything has changed. Which is a good thing. Parking price was reasonable at $10 and all the staff/security were friendly. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the cost of a mixed drink. At $18 for a vodka and cranberry that was mostly cranberry (and $13 for a bud light and a room temperature slice of pizza) I highly suggest pre-gaming in the parking lot and arrive with a full belly because those cocktail prices are outrageous. Otherwise it's a good concert hall.

First time back since COVID struck. Show (Clutch) was great. People were great. Energy, atmosphere, vibe.. All great. Only negatives I have is that it's not that close for me and most shows I am looking forward to all seem to be scheduled on Thursdays, cuts into my beauty sleep, work starts early on Fridays.

Excellent ‘up close and personal’ event space! Highly recommend! The acoustics were excellent in the pit area, the booth mixers had everyone set up right… great time!!! Thanks to The HU !!!! Best show of 2023 for me!

Always a great venue for shows!! Been to many concerts at Starland over the years. Lots of parking, easy admission with AXS, good security, bars, plenty of clean bathrooms. Sitting areas away from stage & pit, if wanted.

This is one of my favorite Jersey venues. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Mostly hardcore and metal shows. The bars have great service, the standing room is very large with a good pit. The sound is always pretty good. The parking is easy. The drink prices are okay, as expected. The security can be a little more friendly on the way in. Still love this place though. I will keep coming back and coming back.

Saw Less Than Jake and Bowling For Soup here last week. Awesome place to see a show. They allow people to have a good time, dance, mosh, crowd surf, etc. There is a good amount of security guards but they only have to get involved when necessary. Drinks were pretty pricey, paid $74 for four small vodka and club drinks.

Great venue to see live bands. They now have raised VIP section at the right of the stage. 3 big bars with great and friendly bartenders. Security and the rest of the staff is friendly and professional. They have pizza if you get hungry. Not a bad spot in the hall to see the stage.

Great venue for shows, and loved the nostalgia since I just saw Bowling For Soup, Less Than Jake, and The Aquabats there... Only gripe is how high the cover is if you want to use a table for drinks. $25 a person is a little high for me.

This is the first time I've come to Starland Ballroom in a very long time! I'd say the last time I was here was probably about a decade ago. I had forgotten how great this venue is! My most recent visit here was to see Clutch and Amigo the Devil (great show and awesome pits! Lol.) There's tons of parking outside. All the staff I interacted with were super friendly and nice. The drinks were great, and I love that there are multiple bars throughout the venue - even on the pit floor close to the stage! There was a bit of a line for the bathrooms (which is to be expected at large events), but they were kept clean! I seriously love the way this place is designed. It just feels so open (even when it's super packed with hyped-up people, lol). The setup makes it so much easier to enjoy the bands and their music.

Went to see Cavalera, Exhumed, and Incite. Before buying tickets, I emailed to ask about ADA seating, and was simply emailed back a form to buy VIP parking, line access, and table seating for an additional $100. Outside, there's lots of parking and everyone is very organized and helpful enough. Inside, merch table is right there, but if you buy early, you'll have to hold onto your stuff all night, because they won't let you back in if you leave. Inside, employees are pleasant and helpful. Venue sound was good, and Cavalera was excellent. High chairs were pretty uncomfortable though. In one corner there's a lower bench which is better. Also, there's row of high chairs along a railing which would allow those who need seating to have it without paying for VIP. Just get there early. Overall, it was pretty good, I'm just disappointed with the manager communication and VIP upselling beforehand.

Awesome venue for smaller shows, tons of parking. Quick check through security and you are greeted with several bars around the stage which make it super easy to get drinks. Views are great from every angle and the sound is incredible when the place is rockin'. Been coming here for years

Starland is a fun venue, with a cool layout, multiple bars to get your drink on, and a big standing room area that can hold a big crowd. I attended ANTI-Fest 2022 here, and saw Catbite, The Black Tones, Surfbort, Anti-Flag, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes! It was a great show and I had a lot of fun. I'm coming back next week for a Led Zeppelin cover band called ZoSo, which I actually got free tickets to from the craft beer bartender! So you can't beat that. I will probably be returning to this venue in the future, even after next week.

Enormous barn of place. Perfect for live bands. Raised VIP area near stage right bar. Nice staff. Cops are waiting outside afterwards, so be on your better behavior. You don't really need to get sideways, do ya?

This is a small and intimate venue, seemingly in the middle of nowhere in New Jersey. The sound is pretty loud if you're in the middle, which is fine because I wear ear plugs (highly recommend that to everyone who goes to see live music!), but the sound is not as good as you move further off to the sides. The flow of the venue makes it difficult to get around and the lines for the bar take up a lot of space, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The staff are friendly, the bathrooms are clean and easy to access. And getting to see a band so up close and intimately is a special experience! I'd definitely come back for another show. These pics are from Violent Femmes, and the tiled photo is from the bathroom stall, believe it or not!

Went to see murray experience was very fun and awesome as it was my first time visiting. My first comedy show as well, funny and friendly bouncer (Guy who let me, in).

I love this place. Great venue. Staff is very accommodating. My only complaint.. was that this last show I saw Mammoth... There was no room to breathe. Absolutely sold out show. I think they oversold it. We were in there like sardines. The body odors were atrocious. I truly do love this venue. I think maybe sell less tickets.

Absolutely love this venue. It's a small venue so you can always see and get close to the stage! Bands, sound, security and staff are amazing. The drinks are reasonably priced for a concert venue. I've seen Clutch and From Ashes to New here and had an absolute blast here. Highly recommend!

Venue was clean, staff was helpful. The only issue I had was the stairs to go to the pit were completely crammed with people. Took me forever to get to that part of the venue.

The venue is very small, but that's a known fact to most people. I attended a heavy metal concert here. I've been to a lot and this was by far the loudest concert. Definitely recommend ear plugs. The venue itself is meh, it's kind of well maintained but could use some improvements in the bathroom area. There was very little room when entering it was barely enough room to stand for a brief moment to look at the band's merchandise. They sell food but I didn't get any do in not sure of pricing. A can of craft beer was $6, which is average for venues. Overall, I'd come back for more shows, but I'll be bringing earplugs for sure.
