We've gone to this location for 15+ years. I don't know what has happened in the last couple of years, but it's changed enough for us to look for another location. My daughter's pediatrician passed away, so we had to choose another. We went with J. K. based on her excellent reviews on Allina's web page. Irritated and unfriendly is how I would describe our first encounter, but it's been a lousy couple of years for everyone; we figured she just had a bad day. On the last visit, I would describe her as arrogant, demeaning, and unfriendly - I've never had a doctor roll their eyes at me so many times. Even my daughter was at a loss about her behavior. We had her follow-up appointment at the Champlin location with a different doctor. Night and day difference as relates to the cleanliness of the location and the staff's friendly and professional behavior.

If you have another option other than this clinic, save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. I stopped by on a snowy day, and so was running late, which I was by 5 mins. After getting checked in, the nurse came and told me the doctor had left for the day and we had to reschedule. If you’re reading this, be the judge. I didn’t think 5 mins will be super late considering the bad weather. Anyway, I ended up not rescheduling and will be looking into a different provider and that won’t be Allina Health. Take care and stay safe.

I looked online for urgent care wait times and it gave me the option to check-in to hold my place in line. It said 38 minutes so I checked in saying that we would be there in 38 minutes. When we arrived to get my baby checked in, they told me it would be a 3-4 hour wait. What’s the point of having an online check in if it does absolutely nothing? We can’t wait 3-4 hours with a 7 month old. I checked the wait times online when we were there and it said 1 hour. The front desk said they were at a 3-4 hour wait time all day and it has yet to reflect that online. We also called at 7am to see if we could get our baby in any time with any pediatrician and they said they didn’t have a single opening at any clinic in Minnesota. It’s sad that you can’t even get same day care for a baby. Allina has gone so so far downhill and I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone. Absolutely terrible.

I usually get my labs done here even though I don't have a primary care doctor located at this facility. I needed to get my labs done so I could get a refill of critical medication. They changed policy so now I have to set up a primary care doctor to get lab work done because then they can make more money. Nurse was really cool, but the doctor was very disrespectful and snotty to me. Made me incredibly uncomfortable I just stared at the ground and only talked to answer her questions. I mean there is no way she could act like that all the time. Maybe she is not a morning person, maybe she just decided not to like me because I'm Norwegian. Worst check up I have ever had. I will definitely be changing my unhappy primary "care" doctor. Not that I need one... it's just for lab work or just for the new policy. People in that lab were cool. I'll give two stars because the people in the lab, the receptionist and nurse were great. Doctor and higher up medical administration that decides policies and how to make money I'll give one star.

Jennifer T. Keis, MD is an egregious misrepresentation of her profession. She is a pseudo-scientist who ignores the fundamental tenets of medical research. When challenged with the most current and robust evidence, she employed fallacious reasoning based on appeals to authority and emotion, thus revealing her dogmatic and irrational beliefs. She is incompetent to practice medicine and should be deprived of her license immediately. The mean score for the USMLE Step 1 exam was approximately 230, with a standard deviation of approximately 20. This means that a majority of test-takers score within the range of 210-250, which is approximately one standard deviation above and below the mean. If she passed, it was likely 194. This is no learning moment, this would be a fireable offense.

Wife has had multiple bad experiences in different departments at this clinic. For one doctor she was referred to, they claimed nothing was wrong with her and wouldn’t do any testing, claiming that she should stop listening to “Dr.Google” and the “TikTok Doctor”, despite never looking up medical information on that app and her primary doctor telling her what symptoms she should ask about. Another doctor she was referred to was supposed to do panels of testing, and only did 2 tests that only tested for one thing each AND took a phone call in the middle of the appointment. Last but not least, another department has cancelled on her THREE SEPARATE TIMES the day before her appointment was supposed to be. It should not be a fight or a headache to get decent medical care

I brought my sons here for a routine check up they were not organized at all kept having to leave the room because the nurse forgot crucial things EVERY time she came in. She didn’t even have a stethoscope on hand, my boys are 5 & 7 my 5 year old needed shots, the nurse didn’t bring anything but a extremely small tray with his 4 shots, my son is a screamer and jolts the nurse didn’t even try to help hold his legs down and he jolted on every shot, he was screaming terrified wanted to jump in his moms arms but couldn’t because the nurse set the BARELY capped needles next to my son he could’ve easily gotten poked again I almost got poked trying calm him down, was not organized at all definitely not what they used to be. Very disappointed in nurses actions and lack of care. She didn’t even give my little guy a sticker after getting 4 shots just sent us on our way.

I've had two appointments here and they've lasted a combined total of under 15 minutes. The appointments feel rushed and the providers have either been dismissive, or have made me feel like I'm wasting their time. If you're stuck with Allina, it's worth the extra drive to go to Shoreview.

Went in with a sore throat. Said about a 3 hour wait tested me for strep 30 mins in. About another hour and a half before doc called me in nice guy. Got me what I needed and was very polite. Wait time Is long but remember covid is still a thing. So just have patience if you can

Allina health used to have great patient care and competent doctors. But they rush you in and out like cattle and don't care about your health. They only allow you three things to talk about at your appointment. Never in my life have I dealt with a clinic and was told I can only speak about three problems at my visit. This clinic is an absolute joke! Do better Allina!! Shame on you!! Booooooooo!!!! 👎👎👎 I was told to call them about my complaints and I did so. I even spoke to someone and was told they would call me back and of course they didn't. If you're reading this comment. I highly suggest you find a decent clinic because this isn't it! It is completely ridiculous how patients are treated through Allina health.

Went in for an eye exam on 3/30. First nurse was good until she started conducting preliminary tests a bit snobbishly. I wanted to say "NO! I don't need glasses for driving until the Department of Motor Vehicles says so! I don't care if you recommend it! I can see fine on the road!" Didn't want to start a scene so I didn't say that. Assistant nurse was better mannered. Then everything got better. Dr. Backer-Palmer is terrific and gorgeous, which will simply make it a lot easier for me to come back again soon so she can do more tests. Probably will turn out to be one of my favorite doctors ever.

A few weeks ago I got a bill from Allina saying that for a well visit I will be charged for a standard visit co pay. When I called to question it they said I must have also went there with an illness. No we were not sick. It was just a well visit. So they said they would submit for a review. I just got the letter now saying that “because we talked about a chronic illness and further treatment plan” it is not considered a covered well visit. This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard if I can’t talk to my child’s doctor about a chronic illness (my child’s overall health) at their well visits and ask their advice. Well Allina you will get your co pay, but we won’t be back. I hope it costs more than my co pay to transfer our files to another clinic!

If I could rate them a 0 I would. Their urgent care is horrible. Literally hours and hours of wait time for no reason. They screw up your billing here often. Ask for details of what you are being charged for. I recently spoke to the business office and found my dad and adult daughter were listed under my account with me being financially responsible. They are both adults living in separate households. Nobody could explain how or why this happened.

Came here for the first time and will definitely be the last!!! Lets start with the nurse threw out the whole appt she just kept repeating how kids do not like her but I just thought like well yeah of course you give them shots so then the doctor came in and was basically telling me that I had to give my kids shots Im a firm believer with my beliefs and I stand on that I know what shots are important not just for my kids but other human beings. So my husband decided to just go ahead and do the shots the nurse come in with 2 other nurses because again she stated kids don't like her. When I say I've never heard my kids scream the way they did I mean never mind you this isn't their first time getting shots so or course I knew there would be some crying but no fast foward to days later both my kids have really bad bruising and knots fast forwards to weeks later still bruising and a knots it's now a month later and I kid you not both my kids still have knots and light bruising where the received their shots now I see why the kids really dont like her. Now on to the who had to prick his finger for one she was super rough and was getting frustrated that my son wouldn't let her prick his finger and the nerve of her to yell at my kid to stay still he's 2 years old who just received 4 shots do you really think he going to sit or let you do that! The nurses and doctor was so rude and unprofessional I will never come back here nor recommend anybody to come here!!!

In the last 3 years Allina has gone down hill. They do not care for their patients like they use to. I do not feel like my health or my daughters health is in good hands with them what so ever. They have made me resent them and it takes alot for that to happen. I am very disappointed in allina .

I have never had such a run around ever before in my life. You would think that if your mother was dying, that the doctors would willingly fill out FMLA paper work and do it correctly. My mom is days away of passing, Her primary refused. Her oncologist refused. This is wrong .

I recently got an MRI done of my back due to pain that’s been ongoing for a month now, my doctor told me my MRI was insignificant but I had to read the results myself and turned out to be a bulged disc. After diagnosing me with this (which I feel like I diagnosed myself) they constantly are telling me to go to urgent care and having to pay for another exam instead of helping me after receiving my diagnosis. I tried messaging the clinic, calling patient advocacy lines here and not one person has been helpful. Their customer service is horrible here. Go somewhere else like Fairview if you want them to care about you as a human being and not making you pay for something that has already been diagnosed.

It has some specialty clinics. There are elevators and public restrooms. Just know that if you don't get into the right parking lot, the parking lots are not connected. There tends to be a lot of traffic on the little main road, so if you're late, just that one little mistake can make you very late. So just try to keep an eye on where you're going or give yourself a little extra time. This one little mistake mixed with construction made me miss my appointment the last time.

asked Dr. Hasan (rheumatology) multiple times for additional treatment options and kept getting the same responses over and over. Asked for more information on a condition in relation to medication and was told to Google it. appointments with her feel like she’s in a rush and does not listen to me during, or after when I send medical messages. Never got a survey request either to leave feedback so left a message for the manager. The doctor instructed a health plan without room for adjustment, rather than collaborated with the patient. Disappointing because most care within Allina has not been like this for me thus far.

I came to urgent care with my son after spiking a fever of 103.7 and him being sick 4 times in 6 weeks. The nurse didn’t talk to us or walk us through vitals or even what tests she was going to do. She performed a strep and influenza test. I have never seen such an aggressive strep test especially on a child (he was gagging before the swab because of how far she stuck the tongue depressor in his mouth). The whole experience left tears in my eyes. I will never come back to an Allina Urgent care. The only reason I stay is I love my son’s pediatrician.

I always have a pleasant experience here. I have been using Allina since an adolescent, and specifically this clinic for years. And even though I moved out of town I still travel here to visit my favorite primary care clinic 💪🏽❤️ I'm sad actually to hear of the negative comments so I had to put my opinion in 😉

I've been going to the clinic for over 30 years. Yes, things have changed with how it's run, but so has much of life, that directly correlates to these changes. Insert such things as COVID and the understaffing it has caused as an example. I love Julie Botzet and Dr. Marozava. They both take time to listen to you and ask questions and seem to greatly care about their patients. I also appreciate that the majority of the people who draw blood are very caring and do it well as I am a BIG baby when it comes to that. When appointments are scheduled, the wait times aren't too bad. Never needed to wait more than 15 minutes. Some people may read that and say that is horrible and disrespectful, but many things go into what can make clinical staff run behind and many times it has nothing to do with them, but rather the patients they are seeing....I've worked 20+ years in the dental field and see it over and over again. I've also gone several places where wait times are over 45 minutes w/your appointment. It is difficult to get an appointment now days, especially due to them being understaffed. What is most frustrating though is that they have tons of virtual visits (which my insurance does not cover as well) and no in person visits. I suggest that they rethink having the virtual visits flex to in person and close the appropriate amount of time off as needed.

Last May 2023 I went to see the plastic surgeon for a procedure. During my exam they said they would send the information to my insurance company for approval for the procedure. I never heard back from them. This January 2024 I called their office to find out why I didn't hear back from them. I was able to speak to Jennifer M., the person I saw back in May. She told me my claim was denied, the insurance company wanted some adjustments made. She said they would make the adjustments, and resubmit it to insurance.I called back today for results, and again no one has called me back. I'm extremely upset about this. Insurance told me that the doctor is the only one that can tell me if my claim was approved or not. At this point approved or not I would not use this physician, nor recommend this clinic. This is bad business.

I'd been going to this clinic for a long time, ever since I was a kid going to the doctors with my mom. So I've seen many different doctors here, and I have never found a single one I liked enough to be my primary care physician. Of course, not all my experiences were bad. Many of them were okay enough, but I've had very few good experiences with any of the doctors or nurses here. And I can't recall a single "great" experience, where I felt like they really listened to me and cared what I had to say. That's where the main problem is for me. It just doesn't seem like the doctors here care. And some of them are outright condescending. It feels like the majority of the doctors at this clinic decided to be doctors not because they were passionate about helping people, but because it's what their family wanted or expected them to do. I recently started going to Smiley's Clinic in Minneapolis, and I'd highly recommend them. I've only seen a few of the doctors there, but everyone seems great. I quickly found a doctor I liked enough to be my primary. And while it's clear he's quite overworked and is late to every appointment, that doesn't even bother me because he seems to be truly passionate about his work. He listens closely and answers any questions I have with lots of detail. It's great to finally have a doctor who cares and actually believes you when you tell them your problems. Overall, the clinic isn't terrible. My actual rating is like 2.5 stars. I know there's clinics out there that are worse than this one, but there's also ones that are better. I wouldn't completely discourage someone from coming here, but I'd encourage them to go elsewhere.

Had an issue with my eye and went to Allina urgent care in Shoreview. They got me in the very next day with Dr. Scheidt. Dr Scheidt was friendly, thorough, professional, and quickly diagnosed my problem and came up with a solution. I am very happy with the care I received.

Just visited feeling extremely frustrated and exhausted. I was nervous coming to a new location but the staff at the desks were extremely friendly and accommodating, my nurse was kind and compassionate, and I was seen very quickly. I saw Dr.Byers and he listened to me, and assured that I was going to be okay. I had a great and easy experience for something that is not a great and easy thing.

Definitely not recommended. The doctor I liked retired and I wish I would have established care elsewhere for my final pregnancy (my doctortold me to take my care elsewhere, dummy me didnt listen.) I Definitely messed up, I'm 38 weeks pregnant @ 38 years old and no end in sight. The patients well being is definitely not a priority at allina womans health mercy .Policy, policy, policy.. beyond policy it seems like every nurse and doctor has an opinion they push on patients Forget this patient is in constant pain, can't sleep, can't eat, puking, headaches, diabetes . Policy states. Then even at 39 weeks, they won't induce. Do Not Go to Allina.

Discriminated at this location !!!! First time at this clinic. If I can give zero stars I would. My experience with the Lab department was a HORRIBLE experience. It started with the Lab receptionist women, I asked if I was in the right place for lab and her response was “I don’t know..maybe” then it was my turn to bring my daughter back to get her labs drawn and the two techs that did the labs for my daughter wasted my time by interrogating me about what language I speak, where I am from, and if I was Mexican or not… and even said “that’s a shame” when I said I don’t speak Spanish. No wonder the lab wait time is so long because they are to busy interrogating people's ethnicities !!!

The staff was so extremely helpful and friendly. The visit went super quick. My son didn’t even cry getting his blood drawn at the lab because the staff was so great! We were in and out in less than an hour!
