A wave of nostalgia! Just an unreal collection of video games/pinball, and unique & rare games. All in excellent condition, this place cares… anyone complaining about a few out of order games has no idea what it takes to maintain an arcade of this calibre. Super grateful it’s not one of those “arcades” that only puts in gambling style ticket games to win cheap novelty prizes. This place is for everyone who grew up with so many of these games, and the younger generations too! Everyone will have fun. Our group picked up a whole day pass for $20 each which was really smart because it allows you to leave and hang out on the boardwalk so you can come and go as you please. Totally worth it!!

Coming from a moderate pinball enthusiast, this place is incredible. They have a vast selection of some of the most iconic and interesting pinball machines, as well as a few classic arcade games as well. Pinball machines are notoriously difficult to maintain, but the staff here does a stellar job at keeping them in working order. There is a snack bar/small dining area, which isn't particularly special but it does add a level of old-school charm. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Even if you only have a passing interest in the game.

I love this place it's a perfect addition to the boardwalk. It's fun and educational the games work and above each one is the history of it. I found it very unique out of any other arcade that features vintage games and pinball. If you're in Asbury this is definitely the place to visit

Took my 2 adult children here and they loved it! I think it may have been the first time they played actual pinball machines. This place is great and is right on the Asbury Park boardwalk so you can’t beat the view. I love how each machine has its history above it. You can play skee ball, air hockey, old school video games and of course pinball machines. It’s a one time entrance fee and then you can play without quarters. They have a snack bar but I didn’t really check it out. They also have space to have parties. So much fun! #karmelknockingaround

This retro pinball and video game arcade more than lived up to the hype! Heard about this Asbury Park Boardwalk staple thanks to tellemstevedave.com. Walt, Bry and Frank's new video podcast for Patreon "Bro-Side Attractions" brought them here to explore some of Silverball's gems such as Gottlieb's Charlie's Angels Pinball Machine and Bally's Elton John Capt. fantastic Pinball Game. My favorite of the lot was the 1996, Bally's Elvira's Scared Siff machine which was first presented at the AMOA show in Dallas, with Cassandra Peterson present in her Elvira identity to promote the game.(wiki). I would recommend this to any self respecting TESD Ant who wants to make their NJ pilgrimage to Jay and Silent-Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank, NJ and of course to the new TESD town studios in Hazlet NJ.

This is the only place I know of that can have two different birthday parties going on at the same time...one for an 8 year old boy and one for a forty year old man. In both cases they were HUGE successes. This place is a rare gem...run by people who love their hobby and want to share it with the world. Go. Enjoy. HAVE fun! UPDATE - MAY 3, 2022 - - - Still great! I heard that they are going to be expanding at some point in the future. Pops Garage is moving down the boardwalk and Silverball is going to be taking over that space. FANTASTIC NEWS!!! UPDATE - JULY 27, 2022 How can a place that was voted the Number 1 attraction in New Jersey devide to expand, get more stuff and become even better? I have no idea...butvit shows you how much these people love what they do and still share it at reasonable prices. Just fantastic!!!! UPDATE - NOvember 26, 2022 The construction is complete. This place is even better than it was a year ago. Believe the incredible number of positive reviews. This place is a gem! UPDATE- OCTOBER 3, 2023 I was prompted again by Google to give Silverball an updated review. Why? There is no need to change my 5 Star review. Look at how many reviews they have. Look at how high the ratings are. Silverball is worthy of the hype...STILL! UPDATE - jANUARY 17, 2024 I refuse to change my ratings. This place is still AWESOME! Today on a winter weekday there were only 5 customers and the place was empty! But I added more photos.

Took my granddaughter there for her birthday. We had a blast! Played together and competed on multiple games. Shared many smiles and memories we will have forever.

pretty awesome pinball collection in one of the coolest venues i've ever played in. was only put off by the fact that all of the machines have weird 4 and 5 ball settings. this is understandable as most people that happen in there aren't regular players so they enjoy the extra ball. as a regular player however it throws me for a loop. can't complain too much. owner (or manager?) was a really awesome guy.

Went for a father son day trip. Everything is so well-maintained and it’s fascinating to play the games. They explain each one at the top with some interesting trivia and information about the design etc.. The staff was top shelf also and incredibly helpful. Would highly recommend.

The Silverball Arcade is an awesome experience and so accommodating! We were able to have our wedding party and family come to take pictures there! While I only have a sneak preview so far, the photos came out AMAZING in the arcade. Such a wonderful experience and hit for anyone attending! Highly suggest going to the arcade for fun or for pictures!

Tons of rare and vintage arcade games. Had so much fun and was sad to go. Unlimited skee ball has my arm hurting in the best way.

Favorite thing to do in Asbury Park. Prices are really good and it’s fun for the whole family - we always spend at least an hour or two here! I love how they have the history and info provided for every game.

Silverball Retro Arcade was so much fun! The entry tickets were very reasonably priced considering you could just move from game to game and play anything you want. It was fairly crowded and I was still able to get to all of the games I wanted too. We grabbed a hot dog and pizza as well and the pizza was much better than any I've ever had at an arcade. I wish I lived closer so I could come back!

Got a half day pass which was super affordable and so worth it. Took a short break to get a drink next door and came back to play some more games. Their machines are in such good shape and well taken care of. The staff is so nice and friendly. Really fun historical placards above many of the pinball machines give you some fun information about the machines. Classic video games were available as well like Pac-Man, frogger, and Pong…also a personal favorite of mine skeeball!

The Silverball Museum in Asbury Park is a prime example of what a retro pinball and video game “museum” should be. Everything is playable, well maintained and loved with facts and high score charts for almost every game and pin. You pay based on the time you plan to spend inside so it’s free play based on your play style. Food and drink are available and it’s clean and the folks working there are friendly. You really couldn’t ask more!

Excellent selection of pinball machines and a sprinkling of retro arcade machines. I loved that they had all of Jersey Jack machines to play. I will be going there again.

One of our new favorites! Pinball machines and video games galore and from more decades than any arcade I've been to before or ever heard of. The pinball machines (maybe it was all machines) have plaques with the year it was first produced and other interesting facts like how many were made! One pinball machine called Knockout, dated back to 1950 and it works! They also have a food concession with good pizza, hot dogs, etc. (though I wish they had at least one vegetable on the menu). I think they're open year-round.

What a great way to spend some time and have some fun.. plus It is a great history lesson at the same time. The admission prices are spot on and the 1/2 day entry gives you plenty of time to play. We also love the re-entry policy allowing you to step away for something to eat or to grab a drink and then return for more fun.

Great for kids of all ages. Patrons are generally respectful to each other. One flat rate lets you play every game available. Many retro games available for the classic arcade crew. Restooms are clean, but they could use one more for when things get busy.

Right on the boardwalk. So many great unique games from the 50s to 2000s. Pay to get in and the games are free. If you like pinball you need to come here. Pizza ain’t bad either. No joke.

Perfect winter, spring, summer or fall. Fun for kids and adults. Vast variety of video games and pinball machines. It is like walking into a game room of the past. Staff is awesome and friendly greeting you at the door with a smile. Flexible pricing 1/2 hour, 1 hour, etc. Great to spend a sunny walk the boardwalk day. Or, with winter coat for winter and ofcourse rainy days to try something new.

My favorite place to be! I'm always impressed with the quality of the games they have. I can tell they take good care of them, because I rarely find a game working poorly or broken. My buddy and I make a trip out there every couple months and every single time it's been a blast! Can't suggest this place highly enough!

Some of the best retro arcade games. And paying one fee to play them all and just jump around and play everything is fantastic.

Best arcade I have ever been to. Pay $20 for all you can play hours of entertainment on retro games from every decade. Super fun.

Such a unique and fun place! My husband and I have been visiting the Arcade for years, so I decided to throw him a surprise party this past weekend. EVERYONE who works at the Arcade was wonderful: Jackie made the reservation process a breeze and every single employee helped with the setup process and made the party time so enjoyable. There's such a variety of games to choose from and they are so well-maintained. Everyone at the party had a blast and my husband got the chance to have such an entertaining birthday. Thanks to everyone at the Silverball Arcade for helping to make this a special event!

Fun time here no matter the age! They have snacks🥨🍿🌭🍫🍬 available and are situated right on the boardwalk. My child had a party🥳🎉🤩 here several years ago and was a hit 🎯for the kids AND the parents! Would love to know if there's an adult night?! Some machines need a leveling to balance them. It is so much fun, affordable to all for an hour or several hours to try them all‼️😊🎈

Wow! Amazing place! Transported me back to my childhood. Tons of pinball machines plus so many of my favorite video games, speedball, air hockey and so much more. All the games were very well maintained. Love it@ can't wait to go back!

Visited on my day off for something different to do. Despite the long drive, I am sure I will be back. A "museum" in that there are many pinball and some arcade games from my teens but an "arcade" because they are all playable. And a flat rate so all are free play to play the games from your past and play other older or newer games you might not have tried. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming here for about 20years with the Cranbury Summer Recreation Camp and it is fun every single time! You get to learn all about the history of pinball machines and video games while having a great time. One set price and no coins or cards. Hotdogs are awesome too. We will be coming for many more years!
