We enjoyed our time here and loved the laid back feeling of the place. They have a good range of beers and even keep nonseasonal offerings on tap for folks who like those beers. We tried the yummy food truck outside and were not disappointed. The prices are great and cheap ($14 for a beer and 6 pack). Our biggest issue was how we were treated by staff. No one wanted to greet us as soon as we got to the counter and had to ask for a bartender to help us (we were the only ones in line). One bartender (dark brown hair) refused to even look at us and walked past us a few times without looking at us and refused to take our order. The same person was friendly to other patrons so that was a bit weird to us. That was the only damper to our trip here.

Good beer and nice staff. They have great inside seating and a band if you make it in when the brewery is open (different from the tap room). Sold beer selection.

Super fun vibe! Gabby behind the bar is so sweet. The selection of 16 draft craft brews, plus grab and go cans, are enough to keep the whole crew happy. Brewery has tours on Sat. They have fun events from Yoga to Bingo. And if ya need a break from, the kiddos let them loose in the backyard. Awesome playground, and live Music. Off the beaten path sush don't tell anybody about how great it is here!

We were really impressed with this brewery. Their porters were great and the Barleywine was easily the best we've ever had! The female bartender was very friendly. The environment was very nice as well, the taproom was kind of small but they had a really nice covered patio and a large playground for kids. They are currently working to expand their brew house so the parking lot is full of construction material but we were able to park next door and there are signs to guide you to the door of the taproom. We will definitely plan a trip back to Galveston Island brewery!

Great place to visit. The outdoor space is set up to be in the shade in the afternoon. It's great. The playground is great for the kids. Inside is cozy and has nice restrooms. The staff is very cool and knowledgeable. As for the beer, check untappd or Beer Advocate. I'll say i really enjoyed it, but it's too subjective to put in a review of the actual brewery.

What a cool place with great beers! We stopped in to purchase a selection of their current beers. While making our way into the bar we noticed a really nice outdoor seating area that looked fun and inviting. It was too cold to hang out outside, but we plan to go back next time we are in Galveston. In the bar they allow you to create your own 6 packs of their canned beers to purchase and take with you, which I did. There are many other brews not canned available on tap and can be purchased in growlers to take to go. The staff are friendly and helpful! So far I've only tried their Tiki Wheat and I am now a fan of Galveston Island Brewing! Cool place great beers. I'll be bock!

This is a place that knows how to make great beer. I always stop by anytime I am starting a beach trip in or around Galveston. Always try something new because it is gonna be good. This time I had their strawberry kiwi wheat, which was very surprisingly subtle with the strawberry kiwi flavor, it was great. Then I had the coconut porter, right as the sun was setting. It was light with a nice toasty quality and tons of coconut, nothing subtle about this one. I loved it and wonder why more places around Houston don't make great porters like this. (equal parts does!) They have a fantastic porch as well!

So much fun at bingo night at Galveston Island Brewing. Tons of interesting and unique options for craft beer - chocolate peanut butter and roasted coffee for the win. If the weather had been better, we would have take advantage of the large patio and playground. Fun and relaxing atmosphere. Food truck dining. A great venue for the whole family to enjoy.

We decided to check the brewery out because of the Loggerhead beer and the brewery's contributions to the Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research. My husband and I are not 'craft beer people', but we tried a flight each. We both found 3 different beers we liked enough to buy a 6 pack n introduce our friends to. Very cute patio area, quick n friendly service, and the beers are great! I'll be a regular!

Cool brewery and off the beaten path bar. So many interesting and unique options for craft beer. If the weather had been warmer we would have taken advantage of the large patio and playground. Fun and relaxing atmosphere. Food truck dining. A great venue for the whole family to enjoy. 4 out of 5 stars only because they were not offering a flight when we stopped in and Tiki Wheat was the only liked bear out of that, Imperial Stout and Strawberry Lemonade Seltzer.

Galveston Island Brewing has come a long way since they started as a tiny micro brewery with only bar seating. The brewery has it all. Indoor seating is available near the taproom and in the brewing area, outdoor seating is ample in their patio and playground area which kids will love, the bar area has a gift shop, and the multiple restrooms are a nice touch. Beer wise, they're pretty solid. They tend to specialize in lighter beers like heffes and wheat ales. Those tend to compliment the hot humid coastal weather nicely. Parking is a little tight but available on the nearby streets as well.

I went there with my two dogs and we had fun. Big outdoor seating, cool vibe. Every beer we tried was nice but I especially liked their seasonal menu, which is coconut. Never thought coconuts and beer will be this good. Cant stop thinking about it. Should have bought more. Staffs were kind too. Wish i could find them near where i leave😭

Best brewery in Galveston hands down. I haven’t had a beer there I didn’t enjoy. The Show Me Your Tikis coconut porter is my personal favorite. They’ve got a cool outdoor atmosphere and the loft above the brew house is a unique hangout.

Good selection of craft beers. They also give a tour on Saturday at 1pm to learn about the process.

One of my favorite places on the island! The beer is always cold and always tasty! The atmosphere inside is fun and there is always an easy banter going on. Outside is a wonderful place to enjoy a beer and visit with friends. Nice playground for the kids. There is often a food truck on site or you can order Maceo's sandwiches from the brewery. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

Glad we stopped here! Off the beaten path a bit - but worth the effort. Chill vibe inside and out. Great food truck the day we stopped by. Solid beer selection - each one we tried tasted great. Loved it!

Always love to take a break from the surf shop with my fav local brew. If I can’t make it to the brewery for pick up, it’s nice that it’s stocked everywhere in GTown! Monday Bingo nights are fun too!

Great spot. Nice staff with smiles and fun attitudes. Beer was good. Lots of seating inside and out. Live music was nice but not overwhelming. Great place to chill with some friends.

We found this place on accident, did a u turn and stopped in on our first day in Galveston, Saturday 5/28. Tried a couple brews, and a great time. The bartender was friendly and really helpful. Bought a 12 pack of Tiki Wheat to go and ordered at various dining places we stopped at. Decided to end our vacation how it started stopping back on Thursday 6/2. First bartender from Saturday was for more helpful and friendly, but I don't think she was working solo. Like the location, the building, the vibe and the beer. Glad this place isn't close to home.
