We had a great time at our Hike-in/Boat-in campsite at Yatesville Lake State Park. The campsite was well maintained and the lake view is just amazing. All the staff members are very welcoming and very very helpful. The bathrooms at the Campground were very clean, there was a small bathroom at campsite as well (2-3 campsites share one bathroom is what I guess). During our visit we visited Lawrence county park haunted hayride that is very close to the campgrounds and it was one of the best experiences. Cost to attend the hayride was just $7 and 40-minute hayride just did justice to what we paid. The money is raised for a very good cause and all the performers do their job pretty well!! All in all very good camping experience of "Fall Camping" at Yatesville Lake State Park. Me and my friends loved it!! <3

Great campground in boat in camping area. Fishing was great even in the heat of summer (large mouth, channel cats, blue cats, smallmouth). Clean water and very awesome rock feature with somewhat technical climb to the top about 20 feet jump to water.

Nice park for camping either in a RV or a tent, it's safe and offers several options, clean sites with connections for campers, bathhouse, children's park, trails, it is also ideal for fishing and enjoying the lake by boat or kayaking.

The dam is beautiful, and the campgrounds are exceptional. Wish they didn't mow so much as it harms the smaller wildlife.

There are 2 camping areas here, and both are worth the stay. They have a small store, and the host is more than helpful and kind. We drove in from Fort Campbell and this was our first time in this past of Eastern Kentucky. The area is gorgeous, going to the local stores (walmart) has nice people, and everyone wasn't in a rush. At the campsite and surrounding area was just a breath of fresh air (quite literally). The one thing I would like to point out is the state park tent area isn't handicap accessible, you would have to stay in the other area, which is gorgeous and with site parking and handicap bathroom. Other than that, I would highly recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights in site #11. There is a slope with stairs so if this is a problem make sure to ask. All the campsites were beautiful! No cell phone reception unless you are at the top of the hill. Bathrooms are kept immaculate set up with showers and the dump station has 2 pull throough sites. Only draw back to the state park is no lake access unless you hike down or boat launch about 2 miles away. They have play grounds and grass. Right next door is a yatesville campground that is run by the county of Lawrence. They have mini golf and a country store with cabins to rent as well as tent and rv camping. You can hike down to their swim area which has a beautiful sandy beach and lifeguard on duty. If you camp at the Lawrence county campground it is free to use day/swim area. We drove over and paid $1 per person or I believe it's $5 per carload. Had a great experience and relaxing time.

Beautiful park, lots of camping spots and there is a bathroom throughout the campground that is within walking distance no matter where you are located on the campground which is convenient. The staff are very nice and we enjoyed the short time while there 😊!
