I went to Atrium Thanksgiving day with covid. I was a lil scared and not breathing my best and wanted meds and or treatment. The ER Doctor pretty much told me to go home and deal with it because I was not vaccinated. After going home and getting worse I found online doctors that were a bit more understanding. I am finally getting better. I am just now feeling myself Dec 5th no thanks to Atrium.

My mom recently came here by transport with a level 1 trauma and they did an amazing job in the ER. They were attentive and quick to respond to her needs. Ended up admitting her and the nursing staff and doctors were amazing. We had a few hiccups here and there but the staff was quick to respond to our needs and concerns and followed through with an action plan. The rooms are private, spacious, clean and well appointed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Walsh ( Urology) for years, he is a very pleasant doctor. His secretary who makes appointments is a LIAR. Kira has claimed she's been calling me for an upcoming surgery 3 weeks ago. I have called & called & left voice messages to her, no return calls back to me. I have never spoken to Kira on the phone, nor has she called my phone. My phone is NEVER turned off, & is on me all the time. I've called my family doctor to see what can be done, they too are waiting on a call back. I'm not looking for pain pills or anything like that, but having a 7 mm kidney stone lodged that won't pass, I get nothing but over the counter tylenol that does not cut the pain, & still urinating blood. Nothing to blast this thing out of me. Are these people who are suppose to care for patients, wanting people to die? or simply go nuts because pain won't go away. People tend to get snappy, or just down right hateful & mean. I tolerate pain very well, I just can't stand a liar, who is supposed to be a "professional".

Dirty! These dirty linens and blood did not belong to my mother in her stay at the ER! No housekeeping. No sanitation! This was the second room they gave to her bc the first had SOILED SHEETS ON THE BED! My mother was in this hospitals ER for 24 hours before an actual dr with some sort of knowledge gave us a clue as to what was going on with her! Such low nursing staff that a nurse from THE ICU department had to come administer my Mothers pain medication. That’s a completely different part of the building!! She wasn’t offered food or water even though she was NOT scheduled for surgery. She literally went over 24 hours before some sort of sustenance was given to her. My mother is currently still admitted here and sadly yes, she is STILL in the ER without a room! They are at capacity with no beds and no staff to properly give adequate patient care. I wouldn’t send my dog here! So many violations on a health hazard standpoint. Contemplating reporting the facility to the State of Ohio Medicare board, OSHA, the Health Department, and sending a very lengthly letter to the board of directors! I’m disgusted at the treatment my mother has received! It’s despicable!! Everyone walks around with a grouchy look on their face, no one works with any sort of urgency, especially to pain patients, and no one is taking responsibility for the poor standard of care. My mother has felt ignored, isolated, uncared for, disrespected, and that is absolutely reprehensible. If I could give 0 stars I would!

Took a friend here this evening about 5 pm The nurses in the ER was very rude and disrespectful to the point my friend got up and walked out. A couple months ago I took my elderly uncle there and he was in E R 5 hours not getting the treatment he needed They said they was busy but atleast 15 workers was in nurses station laughing and acting like they was at a party. What has happened to this hospital. Something needs to be done to make these people accountable I asked the nurse three time are you sure your a nurse she sure wasn’t acting like a nurse should it made me question her cordentals

It would be negative five stars if possible. I used to swear by this place, until today. When the ER doctor gave me a shot I'm allergic to, after I told him, I'm allergic and it will upset my ulcers. I sat in triage for an hour listening to nurses talk bout myself and others. Ashley K was one of them that wrote in my file about me crying I pain in the room. Like I was annoying her. Today is the first time I've walked out of there because of humiliation, lack of care, and down right rudeness. I was there for shoulder pain, they said I walk just fine lol they don't know where a shoulder is?!! Rude, beyond unprofessional. And seriously no care for patients. When someone tells you that will make me ill. You ont give it to them. I will give the nurses a star for shutting my door when they realize could here them talking about me. Hope the medical board talks to them soon 😊 they didn't seem happy bout my treatment today either.

My daughter was in a car accident we waited for 2hrs in the waiting room watched people walk in after us with a cough and went back before my daughter who had just been in a major car accident then after 1hr and 30 min wait watched a man walk in with a tiny cut on his eyebrow and waited for 20 min and went back before my daughter ATRIUM HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE WORST . We should have went to Liberty Children’s like we were going to do in the beginning! We left and never got the help we needed!

I had Ambulance rush me to emergency room I had severe Abdominal pain I thought I wasn’t gonna live through it was so scary and so painful. There are two very young nurses look like they were in their 20s one looked at me and said what is your rate on your pain while I was crying my eyes out I told her it was at 10 she looks at the other nurse and they died laughing I thought my pain was a joke I live in Middletown Ohio now I’m scared if something happens like threatening to me I won’t have a place to go to that will try to save my life I have never seen so Many uncaring people last then I have my whole life.Any Time I ever went to the emergency room I was always treated with care not last night and They’re so understaffed that patients are suffering because of it it’s not right.Amd These nurses are not doctors and they need to stop acting as if they are a doctor the scary thing is as long as they got intelligence they can go to school and become a nurse they were hiring anyone to become a nurse over peoples lives so scary to me.There was a Middletown cop who helped me get into my vehicle because I was unable to stand God bless that officer he was so nice and so caring God has something good in store for him

I would like to give the surgical center five stars or the best care I could expect after colon cancer surgery. To all the staff that assisted me it could not have been better. And to Dr. Kim who performed the surgery and astounding high five.

When I arrived at the ER I was in pretty bad shape with I thought I was having a migraine, my pain was on a 10 scale. It still took about two hours to get into a room. Then from there the doctor came in and did an exam and said he would review my chart and be back in with a plan. So next a nurse came in to give me some fluids and meds that I was allergic too. Six hours later still have not seen that doctor Or doctor at this point. I was feeling so bad and I fully understand ER are busy and can be crazy at times, but it would still have been nice to know that doctor still cared and took my symptoms seriously. Definitely will not be coming back.

I worked at this facility as a travel RN for just a few months, but in that short time I can honestly say that I would not recommend this place to anyone. Some of the units are ok, but others-- it is very concerning seeing and experiencing some of the things that I did while I was at this facility. As an RN, I was constantly worried I could lose my license due to unsafe staffing ratios, the lack of resources, and just overall negligence of some staff members regarding the care of patients. In addition, many units are infested with bugs. I was appalled at the number of bugs and lack of care by upper management regarding this issue. I had patient's family members bringing in sticky bug traps because they were finding hundreds of them in their loved one's hospital room. They were everywhere- breakrooms, hallways, nutrition galleys, etc.

Visited the ER at Atrium tonight with a potential cardiac issue. Everyone I saw and spoke with was incredibly attentive, kind, courteous, and helpful. The attending physician was incredibly thorough, explaining what she wanted to do and why. I felt heard, seen, and loved. I was treated as a patient, but I was treated kindly and warmly, and that makes all the difference. At some point in my life I'll need to seek care - it's a given. It happens to all of us. My experience today, while nowhere near fun, was encouraging and I felt safe. If I have to go to the hospital again, it will be to Atrium because of my experience tonight. Thank you all so much.

Unfortunately, I’ve been hospitalized multiple times this year. This hospital is, by far, the cleanest. It is also thee best psychiatric facility I have been to. The care I received felt individualized and helpful for my own personal journey. Staff was amazing. No one that I came in contact with was unhelpful. Even the volunteers were great! Everyone was kind and willing to help any chance they could. I would recommend this place to anyone. Especially, considering I’ve been in a handful of hospitals… this is the best one yet.

Nurse Jess Tamm is WONDERFUL! On floor 3 South….Just amazed by her knowledge, answering ALL my questions & I have a lot. I just cannot put into words how much I appreciate her true desire to help my Mother AND to find a work around to deal with a strained situation between me & my sister. I know Jess is going places in the medical field, watch this girl shine!!! She has all the skills, even the ones that can’t be taught! Thank you Jess, for all you do every minute of every day, to help all of us. Please know you are appreciated! All the way from Arizona, I thank you❤️

Been here twice this year. First time I had to go back a week later bc they messed up doing a procedure so they had to do it again. Went 2 weeks ago with unbearable neck pain took them 2 and a half hrs to actually send a Doctor in and all he did was send me home with muscle relaxers and aleve. Not one of the prescriptions helped I'm still in constant pain, one side of my neck completely swollen but they wouldn't do any scans. Primary dr is booked til mid March so I thought this place was the best option. They did give me a muscle relaxer shot but the nurse hit me so hard with the needle my arm hurt for days after and bruised so bad. Horrible experience. All around. Go anywhere else for care.

Thank you to everyone at Atrium Medical Center (Middletown) for the amazing care and support that all of my doctors and nurses gave to me during this last almost week. I couldn't have asked to have been in a better place with better people. My biggest THANK YOU goes to Dr.Jones for being such an amazing doctor and overall person in general! He did an amazing job on my surgery and even came to visit me after my surgery just to see how I was doing. He has been more than amazing, caring, supportive and hands-on since day one of handling my cancer diagnosis && I thank GOD that he was the doctor that was put into my life to help me through all of this. No one else would have done it better! Nurses Manon, Kim, Kerri, Hope && Nikki on the 3rd floor - you five will never know how much I appreciate each one of you ladies for everything you did for me while being there. Helping me through my mental breakdowns, finding body wash for me, checking on me and laughing with me when I was struggling at first! Also, being sweet to my kids when they came to visit and overall just being kind and nice to me day after day, hour after hour. Housekeeping was very attentive and sweet, nutrition was always very respectful and helpful moving the table tray over closer to my bed and there was NEVER a single time that I wasn't asked "Do you need or would you like anything?" before any of the nurses/housekeeping/Chaplin etc.. left the room. I enjoyed my stay and everyone that was involved with my care! You all were AMAZING! 👏👏

Just recently had a baby with my wife here, they did very well for the most part taking care of my wife and baby son, it's understandable that they get the most of the attention but no one except one male nurse (Erik) asked me if I needed anything like food or drink, we were there for 3 days and it wasn't so bad.

This hospital let my son leave the hospital with out shoes they put him out late at night confused and disoriented he ask them to call his mother they told him he was grown. We had been calling the hospital all day on Thursday 10/12 /23 and they act if he was not there. He lives in Dayton we found him on the side of the highway in the grass with a coat or shoe they gave him some hospital socks. I call hospital patient relation, and left my name, and number on Thursday because they said that he was not there no call back and I called back still no return call. I see that the hospital complaint are all the same. I would not take my dog to this place, and my son is back in the hospital. I am going all the way with this because I know the way they treated him is so heart broken. I pray my son be ok. Also I want to give them a zero but you have to put at less one star. They deserve a negative five.

Only giving one star because I have to. This place is a joke! As they said, don’t come back, unless you are having problems breathing. Considering I have a colorless lump on my head and swelling inside my mouth and throat, and they diagnosed me with cellulitis- TRUST ME I WILL NEVER GO TO ATRIUM AGAIN
