I absolutely love this coffee shop! For me, Vigilante embodies what I hope for most in a coffee shop - community! The vibe and environment here is wonderful. It’s a great place to come with friends, or enjoy a solo trip to coffee. They’re also welcoming to all - even our friends with paws. Aside from that, I love their food and coffee. Both are delicious. They offer small items - bagels, açaí bowls, pastries etc. They also roast their own beans here. Definitely recommend taking some home! Overall, can’t recommend this place enough! Big love to you all!

Great coffee shop! Everyone is very nice and the food/drinks are amazing! I would recommend their acai bowls and chai tea latte, but I'm sure everything else is just as good. They have a great vibe with music and nice decorations. You can order ahead and they have a bike rack too. You should totally stop by Edit: Recently I accidentally ordered a drink online from the wrong store, but the Vigilante staff were super chill with it and remade my drink at the store I was at, just another reason why this is the best coffee shop ever!

Best coffee in the DC/Annapolis area. The Flat White is by far my favorite espresso drink they make. Zero foam…and oily! So good. Excellent pastries and quirky-kind service. And the location is super beautiful. Just greatness!

Amazing staff. Amazing coffee. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing breakfast. I highly recommend checking them out. It’s such a cute little spot. The coffee is super good and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a bit of a drive for us but we can’t wait to go back.

Probably the best example of a DC (Hyattsville) coffee roaster we currently have. The quality of the beans is consistently good and Vigilante offers a nice variety, including some really high quality limited release stuff. The cafe itself is a great neighborhood spot in the historic downtown area, attracting lots of regular locals and occasional coffee pilgrim. When we went on a Sunday afternoon, a flock of cyclists were spread out all over the patio. The location is very spacious, in an old auto garage. The open concept allows you to see the roasting process, the baristas making drinks, the food prep station, and the eclectic customer seating areas. There is a lot to observe while enjoying your drink/food. Speaking of, the house espresso (Tin Lizzie) and Ethiopian pourover I had were excellent, very well extracted and flavorful, no unnatural bitterness or other anomalies. The product of a well-drilled team and quality-first approach to their coffees. I look forward to going back, highly recommended.

Insta: dmv_reels I love their coffee so much. Not sure about their pastries but coffee is bomb. Seating is uncomfortable so long hour sitting is not recommended. Parking also limited.

Vigilante Coffee: A Must-Visit for Coffee Lovers and Artisans Rating: 5 stars out of 5 stars Vigilante Coffee is a true gem in Hyattsville, Maryland. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an eclectic and artistic ambiance that instantly puts you at ease. The décor is a delightful blend of modern industrial elements and rustic charm, featuring a captivating plant wall that adds a touch of nature to the space. The staff at Vigilante Coffee is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. They took the time to explain the different brewing methods and roast levels, ensuring that I got the perfect cup to my liking. Their passion for coffee is evident in their recommendations and the meticulous preparation of each beverage. The oatmilk latte I ordered was absolutely delicious. The oatmilk was perfectly frothed, and the espresso was smooth and rich, with a hint of chocolatey notes. The latte was not only a treat for my taste buds but also a work of art, with a beautiful latte art design adorning the top. In addition to their exceptional coffee, Vigilante Coffee also serves a variety of delectable treats, including their signature Açaí bowls. These colorful and nutritious bowls are packed with fresh fruits, granola, and a creamy Açaí base, making them a perfect choice for a healthy and satisfying snack. What truly sets Vigilante Coffee apart is its commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing. The owner, Franklin Ventura, has personally visited the coffee farms they source their beans from, ensuring that they maintain fair and sustainable practices. This dedication to ethical sourcing is reflected in the high quality and exceptional flavor of their coffee. Overall, Vigilante Coffee is an exceptional coffee shop that offers a unique and memorable experience. The combination of excellent coffee, friendly service, a vibrant atmosphere, and a commitment to sustainability makes it a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or simply looking for a cozy place to relax and enjoy a delicious beverage, Vigilante Coffee is the perfect spot for you.

How do you spell delicious? I spell it A-C-A-I, just like this bowl. A must have if you’re looking for a wholesome, scrumptious breakfast. The coffee is roasted in-house and is also equally delicious!

My husband and I were looking for a local coffee to call home, did a basic Google search, and decided to pop in. We were so impressed! The atmosphere and people are so welcoming and tge service was awesome. I was disappointed that they don't offer almond milk but it was still a good experience.

Great atmosphere, coffee and eats! If you prefer to support local, this is a good start. If you prefer Dunkin’, Micky D’s, or Star B’s then you suck.

Love the coffee shop. Their locations have some cool decor on the inside and graffiti art out the outside. I usually get the matcha latte. I recommend you order ahead of time, as the lines are usually long. I order ahead of time and it works for me. Enjoy!

Ordered coffee and chai latte here as well as several baked items and pastries. The strong coffee smell hits as the beans were being roasted on location. The service was good and the guys taking and making your orders were pleasant. There was a generally friendly atmosphere in there. I highly recommend it

Amazing coffee. Rich and flavorful. It'd be nice if they had a little more room for seating-- there's a huge open area dedicated to coffee processing in the shop that'd be nice to sit down in.

Nice little shop with quite a few customers this Monday morning. It is a holiday, but I think a lot of them were locals as it used to be very popular with them. I got a muffin, and some iced tea. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I like little shops like this. Accessible to all, but that little ramp that felt more like a step coming into it surprised me because I wasn't paying attention.

Went to this location one morning instead of other location. Had trouble finding parking. Had to circle a couple times and park at this little lot around corner. Coffee was amazing. Really wish I had a coffee place this cool and this quality. They obviously know what they are doing. They roast at this location.

Amazing customer service! They were overflowing with customers, yet got my food and drink out in a reasonable time. I loved that they brought it over to me, so I could enjoy relaxing at my table. There were beautiful plants around me and hand drawn art. Seeing the coffee being roasted was a nice touch to the experience. My favorite drink is the Chronic Tonic

Really cute cafe with good coffee, good vibes and fun space to work. It’s pretty loud so better work space for those who don’t need to be in meetings. WiFi doesn’t work here so hot spot is a must if you need internet. Aside from that all the staff are friendly, the menu has nots of delish/tasty food and the coffee is great.

The best. Hands down. The only company I buy coffee from in the DMV. Used to get my beans from a shop up in Brooklyn, NY then I tried Vigilante. Started a subscription that day. They send two unique and freshly roasted bags a month and they’re always so different from the next. Could not recommend a DC area coffee shop more!

Been a customer since day 1 literally. 9 years later and this shop is still magic. If Josue is working, order a PB (peanut butter) Açaí Bowl (add Nutella if you want to make it even better) if you are eating in and be prepared for a work of delicious art. It’s way better if you get one in a bowl instead of “to go”. Today I forgot to order an espresso and asked if I could have one brought to the table and I would place the order online. The staff member said not to worry about it and brought one over within seconds on the house. It’s a special shop with special staff…oh and the coffee is bomb dot com🤘

When I am in Hyattsville this is my go-to place. Even if I don't need coffee, I can't help but stop by. It has such a good vibe. Really comfortable space to meet friends. I love the outdoor seating as well as the feeling you get indoors. The coffee drinks are great. They offer baked goods as well. I've had the pumpkin and banana bread and you couldn't go wrong with either.

I LOVE this place. Best coffee in the DMV imo. I travel from NW to get coffee here because it’s that good. Plus the bomb bagels like the cherry blossom and the WFH vibes in the huge lounge area. They roast their own beans and it smells like absolute heaven in here. ONLY downside: They no longer have WIFI as of a few months ago. Hopefully they fix that.

Good food and a great cup of coffee - both hot and iced lattes are great! Definitely on the crowded side, and a bit confusing for a first time visitor, but overall an interesting atmosphere. I stayed a while to enjoy a book, and while it is a bit on the louder side with roasting and music both going on, it's definitely a great atmosphere to be surrounded by other people working and studying.

Love the atmosphere and drinks are reasonably priced for how amazing they were! I had a flat white and chai latte with honey and it got me rethinking life🤣. The staff were so nice and chill would come again.

A unique coffee shop with freshly brewed coffee. Usually busy but they have lots of seating arrangements. Service was good. The only pain point was in getting parking.

Vigilante is a wonderful place to go for your coffee needs. The staff is super attentive and I appreciate the robust menu. I had their G.O.A.T. Bagel (Goat Cheese, Old Bay, Avocado, Tomato), and was in awe! I also enjoyed a drip coffee and cappuccino. Their service is kind and fast, and there is ample cafe seating. If you’re planning on doing work, make sure your devices are charged as outlet seating can be limited. Wifi is not the fastest at times, especially when it gets busy. However, it still gets the work done and is not a huge problem.

Vigilante Coffee has a very cool and relaxed vibe. The space is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the coffee is high quality. We also tried an açaí bowl, which they sell in both half and and full sizes, and it was fresh and delicious.

I came here meeting up with a friend, it was nice to feel like "this is my local coffee shop". The staff were kind and there was plenty of seating though parking was difficult. Highly recommend taking a bike to get here.

Great spacious location and atmosphere. The only downside is that there is no parking so you have to find other spots directly out front or around the corner. Amazing coffees

One of my favorite local coffee shops! If your like me and sometimes find yourself missing California definitely go spend some time at Vigilante and you will feel transported. My go to order is a Mint Oat milk iced latte and a seasonal açaí bowl.

Some reasons I love Vigilante coffee: 1)the vibes are correct. It is cute, there is Wi-Fi, the music is always good but not distracting, lots of natural light, and because they roast their own beans it smells amazing. If they let me, I would sign a lease and move in. 2) where else can you get a bagel AND an açaí bowl??? Sometimes things are a tad inconsistent (the amount of cream cheese on the bagel - not a big deal, but it would be nice to know what to expect), BUT IM STILL MOVING IN.

This place is so calming, open and airy. Flat entrance and throughout the shop. Plenty of space between tables and accessible restrooms. Food and coffee was good and decently priced. The service was welcoming and attentive. My friend telecommutes here and enjoys it for longer durations. Worth a visit! There is also a small amount of outdoor seating. There is a couple spaces right out front for those that need close parking but otherwise easy parking lot right around the corner for inexpensive rate.

I really enjoy going here for coffee and a quick snack! My favorite thing to order here is their affogato, and they have a nice variety of pastries and baked goods to choose from as well! The atmosphere is pretty chill, and lots of people bring their laptops to work on their own stuff here. There's plenty of indoor seating and there's some outdoor seating as well. Overall it's a cool place and I look forward to going again soon!

Great coffee place to meet for a business meeting! We did have to wait 10 minutes to snag a table, but it was worth it. Great aesthetic and the food/ drinks were high quality. Our waiter went above and beyond!
