Aaaah. Friendly staff. Suoer clean and modern place. And the dishes were top notch. The side salad was fresh. We left with big smiles and happy tummies

My wife and I enjoyed an evening at OB. Place looks very modern, and we enjoyed eating there. Food was delicious. We were also offered a bottle of wine and could take it home if it was not finished.

We visited for lunch on a Sunday and was very impressed. The restaurant has a nice and fresh look. The tables and menus look neat and clean. The service was excellent and most of all - I could not fault the food either. We had hake and veggies, the samon bowl, fish bites for the kids and a choclate lava dessert with ice cream that was truly delicious. We'll done OB Oakfields! For an old franchise store you are doing better than some of the newer ones 😉

2nd time we went to OB Oakfields it's excellent and never disappointing. Myself and Hubby enjoyed ourselves food was excellent as usual. # Bottle of wine on the house is icing on top of the cake

OB is really getting very expensive. The food was not too bad, not great, but not wow. But yah, where do one go for variety of fish dishes? Must say, the portions for the same meal was better than the OB at Brentwood though. Service was very good though.

We ordered fish and chips and a platter for one The fish was full of bones from the first bite.we called the manager to be told that's the way he gets it from head office nothing they can do or we must order the king klip. The platter for one was not worth the money very disappointing

I like the food offered by Ocean Basket and in this regard the Oakfields Ocean Basket held up their end of the deal. But that's where it more or less ended. Ambience could be described as non-existent to austere, service levels barely adequate - I would go back only if I specifically felt like having one of their dishes - there is nothing else attracting me to this utilitarian outlet. 2023/06/26: On a business visit to Benoni, I dropped in for lunch - fish, calamari and chips. On a tight schedule I tucked in straight away and only after a while realised the fare was cooling at an alarming rate... yes, the pan it had been served in was cold. That, in my mind, is unforgivable. Ironically, the food had been prepared admirably well, and the waiting service courteous. A disappointing experience and poor show - perhaps the manager needs to be a bit more aware of what happens at the coal face.

Prices are ridiculous now. All waiters seemed a bit slow. Took awhile for our platter for two. Nope. Won't be using them again.

I ordered from Uber Eats at 17:58. Had to go collect my food myself at 19:58 and when I got home discovered two side salads missing and sole and quinoa looked terrible. Resturant blamed Uber Eats but food was not correct terrible terrible service will not order or eat there again shocking for order of nearly R700. Was advised by manager to come get my salads tomorrow!

I received a bad service, and I was given burned food on my takeaway. I went to complain to the manager, and I never received any response. Very bad customer service, I don't think I will go back again. I have been a loyal customer.

They’ve definitely lost me as a customer. Their rice and chips weren’t well cooked. The waiter tells me after my order was prepared that I need to leave and withdraw money cos the machine isn’t working. Why didn’t he tell me before ordering? And the mussels had a terrible “fishy” taste. No more.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday so went for queen prawns as a special treat. Firstly the bread rolls were hard , small , rubbery and very hard to bite into. The prawns were a big disappointment, both dishes were over cooked and dry . I could not seperate mine out of the shell and with most of them lost half the meat to the shell. The poop tubes were also intact and had not been cleaned. Our waitress was very sweet and we had complained about the rolls already so didn't say anything about the prawns we just put it down to a disappointing experience. Unfortunately we will not be going back in a hurry.

What a horrible experience! We placed our order, got some drinks, waited 55 minutes, NEVER ANY WAITER TO ASK US IF WE NEEDED anything while we waited Eventually got our food, had to ask for our sides and again no one came to attend yo us OB, you have list a client!!!!

Tried ordering both the whole sea Bream platter and sole, yet there was no stock of either. Then had the platter for one, the fish an calamari were good, but the prawns tasted old and not good at all.

Service was shocking least to say. The food was not well prepared, and still waiting for the soft drinks order and if you ask for salt and you have nearly finish your meal when it comes. Why have so many waiters if they all stand around doing nothing.

Ordered fish and prawns through Mr. Delivery. The grilled fish was burnt black. I called ob Oakfield and the "manager" told me to report the complaint via Mr. D... I tried to explain to the idiot that ob Oakfield prepared the food, but she ended the call. My dine-in experiences have been great. Disappointed and won't use Ocean Basket Oakfield for delivery again. Order accepted 18h24, 6Nov'22, and called ob 19h29.

Excellent service by Noko. Very friendly staff. The prawns, calamari and fish were scrumptious and done to perfection. Veggies, spinach and butternut, could have been less soggy and tastier.

Lovely decorative mid priced sea food restaurant. Service was good and the food tasty. It was a busy evening making it very noisy and I found it difficult to understand the conversation at times.

Service is great. Had to wait for the sushi but the platter for 1 came very quickly. All said great food and service even after the lockdown.
