Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at the Trump restaurant, and it was an extraordinary experience. The food exceeded all expectations, offering generous portions bursting with flavor. We indulged in 3 full racks of pork ribs with crispy chips, complemented perfectly by two sides of spinach with pumpkin – a dinner combo made in heaven. The restaurant's ambiance was delightful, with a cheerful atmosphere filled with satisfied customers. What truly set this place apart was the impeccable service provided by the waitstaff. Their dedication and attentiveness deserve high praise, and we gladly left a substantial tip to express our gratitude. While it's true that the prices are on the higher side, it's evident that you get exceptional value for your money. Quality and taste like this are well worth the investment. Needless to say, we're already planning our next visit. Our bill came to R1300, with an additional R130 for the tip, totaling R1430. If you have a penchant for delectable steaks and ribs, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. It's an experience you won't want to miss, and I'm certain you'll be as delighted as we were. It's been years since I was there but the standard is kept up, if not better. I had the best grilled chicken salad, my daughter raved about the ribs and chicken combo and the younger ones enjoyed the cheese burgers. Big Ups to Trumps. Waiter was also superb.

Restaurant is huge but a reservation is still necessary especially during the weekend. Large number of staff so there’s always someone nearby should you need anything. Steaks are very good and there is so many different combinations to choose from. Would recommend their aged steaks and the chicken livers to start with. Probably the best steakhouse in Sandton City.

Trump's is a must-have. Everything here is amazing. The food and the service. The food is greatly seasoned and the drinks are good. We dined at Trump's on two nights of our week-long vacation. My husband had tender juicy, and well-seasoned steaks. (several to choose from) I had sushi the first time and queen Prawns the second time and they both were amazing. They also have a full bar. The dress code is relaxed. The price is very reasonable for the quality of food, drinks, and service you will receive. If you use USD you will find that you get more bang for your buck. If you're using the Rand it's still worth it! we easily paid with our debit cards. I highly recommend Trump's. it was the highlight of our vacation, we can't wait to come back!

Could not find anything negative to give a lower rating on. Just the wait at the door was about 10mins as we didn't make a booking and we were a family of 5. Desire was the waiter and is at Trumps for 22 years. He knows his menu well and provided great service even though they were busy. Service was efficient and quality of the food was great. Have to add that 4 of the 5 members of the family had to get a doggie bag as we could not finish the meals, portions were fairly generous.

A good place for a night out. The place is busy so try to make a reservation prior to arriving to avoid waiting in a queue. (Perks: Complimentary wine while waiting) Even though the restaurant was fully occupied their spacing and layout is comfortable and not overwhelming. The service was great and staff are extremely friendly and super helpful. Food was delicious, good portion sizes. There was no long wait times even though it was so busy.

Went there for lunch on 14 June 2023 and staff was friendly and professional. We didn't wait long for our drinks or food. Our waiter had a sense of humour too. We were 3 people and the bill was affordable. I'd recommend them. Ps. The cosmopolitan is a must!

We enjoyed our food. The best steak restaurant in Sandron. The portion is big, make sure you understand menu and portion size, 225 mg vs 550 mg. The restaurant is located at Nelson Mandela square, Johannesburg, South Africa which was within walking distance from Garden city hotel. Service is excellent. Most restaurants close here by 10pm.

I have been to this place 3 times, first and third the service was impeccable maybe because we were a big group, my second visit was just me and a colleague of mine and the service was meh. Yesterday was my latest visit I would salute the staff for their amazing service good recommendations. - the portions are big I can never finish my food the sweet pumpkin was way sweeter than I expected my meat was tender and nice the chips were very delicious, it was my first time trying springbok, I would say nothing special about it taste wise but it’s extremely tender. - Ostrich fillet is my favorite and is a must to try.

The steak is pretty good. However, I ordered it medium, but it came out medium well. The amount of sauce is also not sufficient. The place is also quite nice. I recommend coming and enjoying steak in Johannesburg city

What an amazing experience we had at Trumps, the food was excellent. The service was awesome. The atmosphere was perfect for our family dinner. They were generous with the food portions. We had oxtail, basil pasta, the sirloin with lamb chops and wors.

Food was very good. Spaghetti and succulent juicy beef strips was amazing. The oxtail portion is huge, especially when you add the delicious sides they have eg creamy spinach, mash potatoes, pumpkin and rice. The oxtail meal is enough for two or a very very hungry man that wears a size 10 shoes. Delicious 😋.

Definitely a few notches above your average steak house. Good food all-round. mussels and panko prawn starters were good. Good steaks prepared med to rare. Good cocktails. Service was ok.

A get together to celebrate a friends birthday at Trumps Grillhouse Nelsen Mandela Square. First visit for me. It's the biggest restaurant I've ever been in. As big as it is, the service was super smooth and timely.

Simply wonderful. We were attended by Gift (waiters name) who recommend is very well. We got a 350gr rump Steam, tempura prawns and a Zar beer by 400 rand. With the steak you can get a side, we chose the side salad and were surprised about the good quality! It contained olives, tomato and avocado! Finally, the stake was very well cooked, you can notice how experts they are. Summary: Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Perfect for tourist that visit Johannesbourg

This was an excellent place to eat and enjoy with my family. The good quality was amazing (11/10) Perfect. The service was friendly and very clean and efficient staff. Didn't wait long between starters and mains. Absolutely recommend this above all else in the Nelson Mandela Square (Tried all of the restaurants there) best value for money as well and portions are huge.

Visited Trumps for a great dinner. The Chicken wings were not my favorite, they tasted like they were cooked in water with no sauce then brushed with BBQ sauce after. They tasted much better with the Peri Peri sauce which is really addictive. The prawns tasted really good, the lamb shank, I was a bit disappointed, it was not falling off the bone as I had expected but none the less, it tasted good. The service is exceptional.

Trumps never disappoints. Best ribs in town🙌🏾a definite must have. The basting on the pork ribs is delicious, the meat falls off the bone. The calamari starter was good, but the star of the evening is still the ribs. The vegetable sides of pumpkin and creamy spinach are absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are generous. The service is fast. The restaurant has a good vibe. All in all, great experience🥳

Riesen Grillhaus mit tollem Service, wir waren in einer Gruppe von 12 Personen da, Reservierung von Vorteil. Mann hat uns erst mal gleich 2x 1,5 Liter Wein aufs Haus hingestellt und einen Gruß aus der Küche gebracht. Das Essen war sehr gut, der Lärmpegel kann schon mal etwas hoch gehen. Alles in allem aber einen Besuch wert!

Best steak after trying all the so called recommended steakhouses in Johannesburg. The service is as always excellent in my 15 years eating here. The restaurant has the ambience of a New York steakhouse and yet affordable. Had the aged ribeye and the starter was superb. These guys do the steaks well as ordered but always order 1 level down in terms of doneness as mistakes always happen. The dessert smoothie was shockingly superb.

We loved our dinner at Trumps. The venue was very warm and inviting although it is a large restaurant. We loved the vibe and the staff were all very friendly. The food was delicious (we had the biltong, 500g rump steak, kingklip fish) and the wine selection was huge. Thank you to Michael our waiter (Maitre D') who made our experience even more amazing. Have already recommended Trumps to our friends and would definitely come back again!

We enjoyed the food and drinks, it was prepared to our specifications, our waiter (Bravo) as it says on the slip, didn’t give us serviettes, tomato sauce, or check on us to see if the food is up to standard, just gave us the food and left us till we asked for the bill, great atmosphere and restaurant by the way, I will definitely come back.

IF I COULD RATE IT 10 OUT OF 5, I WOULD!! This place exceeded my expectations. Very very happy with the prompt and friendly service, massive portions and flavourful food. Very stylish decor and everything is high quality. So many options to choose from. The restaurant was able to accommodate us even after I accidentally reserved the Sunday instead of the Saturday. The hubby's birthday was a massive success, thanks to this gem. 100% worth it. Highly recommended, will definitely visit again!

Probably the best steak I have ever eaten in South Africa thus far. The service is very quick for the excellent quality. I also broke a beer glass accidentally and they did not even bother mentioning it. Was quite funny how the waiter did not even say anything about it. Trumps also has its own bar and own store where they sell meats and sauces at the same place as the restaurant. Their homemade jalapeno sauce is very delicious. Their chips are crispy and well salted. And their steaks was made to perfection. A bit on the pricey side as you can get cheaper steaks but I think for the quality of their meats it can be considered a fair price. Would definitely come back.

What an amazing evening with my mom & sister on Friday evening! They were full & we so wanted a table on the deck overlooking Sandton Square. The GM not only got us a table but literally moved a table onto the deck for us! The atmosphere, our waiter Daniel & food were all exceptional. They took going the extra mile to another level -best night out!!! View of lights so special.

The Service was warm friendly and attentive. The food was great and sumptuous. Food Portion was generous. A surprise they served us complementary Amarula milkshake. It was delicious. We had a great time and a satisfying meal.

Our decision to have a meal at Trumps Grillhouse during our short stay in Johannesburg was a great one. It started off rocky as we had to flag a staff member down after not being greeted by our waiter after 15 minutes. Turns out that staff member was the manager and he did everything possible to make up for this mistake. He was apologetic, professional, and kind. He even brought over a basket of Beef Biltong on the house. Our waiter was also professional, attentive, and kind. On top of superior customer service, the food is divine! We all enjoyed our meals immensely. If you are in Johannesburg, I highly recommend Trumps Grillhouse. You will not be disappointed.

The food is amazing. I visited the restaurant on two different occasions and both occasions were a splendid. The ambience is top toch. Drinks are a 10. Food is a 10 too.

This place never ceases to amaze, the last time I visited Trumps was a few years ago, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Today I took my husband there for Father's Day, and from the service to the food, we had a 5 Star experience. Loveley atmosphere, charming waiters, and excellent food, very good value for money in the Heart of Sandton. We'll definitely be back.

Awesome restaurant in Mandela Square! Food was excellent & service was outstanding! Steaks were cooked to perfection & the lamb chops were juicy. Their menu is extensive & they carry a great selection of wines. Not to mention that the prices are exceptionally reasonable. I highly recommend it if you are ever in the area & look forward to going back again.

My American companion and I enjoyed the sirloin steak I had mash potatoes and he had French fries. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the service was good even tho the restaurant was quite busy; the service staff checked in us often enough without being intrusive. The drinks were also good quality. I'd definitely like to explore more options in the menu in the future

Excellent food and better treatment. I spent a week in Sandton and I went there several times. I have to eat gluten-free and it was fairly easy to communicate with most of their waiters. I want to specially thank Tracy, as she really took care of me on this behalf. The quality of the food, the presentation and the location are very good too.
