My first visit to the Gas Monkey Pub, and everything was great, the decor is outstanding. I had the beef ribs which were fall off the bone tender and delicious, the vegetables and rice complemented the meal. Will definitely be back.

We have had the worst experience. Straight off the bat the bouncer didn't want our guests - who have booked a table under my name- to enter. Claiming they were not part of our booking. So is that discrimination from the get go? Bad management. Disrespectful staff manhandling women. The worst service, from the barman and waiters. The service was very poor, we were charged twice for drinks. So not only is the service bad but they have staff that are dishonest. Some members paid cash and the staff still maintained their straight faces and charged other clients for drinks and food that were already paid. The manager Alex was so incredibly rude and did not handle his other clients well - who instigated the fight with our guests. Once I tried to explain what happened he made a sexist remark continued to listen to drunk men and dismissed me and 35 guests that were in attendance at this pub. The bouncer also pushed me, a woman out of the way and made remarks that I don't know anything eventhough I witnessed the whole situation. We have video footage of the incident yet we were asked to leave. I am appalled by the way this place is run. We will not be returning ever again and you have lost several clients. I would love to get in contact with anyone from Gas Monkeys that can actually know how to speak to clients and women. If I can give 0 stars, I would.

Great place, love the rustic vibe that they have going on Their staff is friendly and kind, very punctual and well-spoken. Would recommend them for a birthday party or just a drink after work.

Gas Monkey Pub & Grill is a real Gem, great for families to go out and enjoy a great meal, or with your friends to enjoy a large selection of drinks. Great selection of hot sauces, drinks menu and specials on a good looking and tasty meal. This was my first visit and I will be back. Looking forward to my next visit.

Absolutely Exquisite Decor!!! 👌🏻 Clean, Friendly and Ample Seating. Menu offers something old and new. Food was great. Definitely Recommended for a Brekkie, Brunch or Lunch. (Have not attended at Night, so cannot comment on after work drinks or weekends)

Great vibe, good food! Food takes a while to get but so worth it. The vibe is always great there ! Staff always friendly. Plenty room for family and kids downstairs with the party upstairs.

Soooooooo horrible!!!!! They sure do NOT treat their customers with the “utmost of professionalism”. Thanks for ruining our Bachelorette/Bachelors! This place is the definition of two faced. Firstly, being a bouncer doesn’t mean you have to be an aggressive fighter. Someone who starts a fight and rudely intruders our booked event gets backed up by Gas monkey and the Groom(I mean it’s his bachelors) gets kicked out and 35 guests are forced to leave. The Bride pays her bill and 5 minutes later her sister gets charged the same bill. That EXTRA R150.00 cash that didn’t add up to your accounting, that should be returned to the customer. That was not a tip. It was a clear billed payment. I don’t recommend anyone to go here! You will spend double the amount that should be LEGALLY charged. You get mistreated. And apparently if you book a table put a sticker on your forehead otherwise they won’t let you in. And ladies next time wear body armour since the bouncers make constant sexual remarks.

After our first visit wasn't a memorable one, we never thought we'd find ourselves here again. Nevertheless, we did give them another try, and we were not disappointed. The deco is so cool and funky, from the seating to the bar area. They have plenty of waiters and waitresses who were ready to assist when we got there. They have a great selection of food and drinks. We had one of their alcoholic slushy and a lime milkshake. We also ordered the chicken burger and the chicken Ala king with rice. Both meals were sooo good. They were freshly made and flavorful. Our overall experience was a pleasant one.

It was recommended on social media that we should go watch the rugby there. I'm so glad I took that recommendation! We had a great time. Big screen, lively atmosphere and great service. The team went out of their way to accommodate us. We'll be regulars.

Vibe was good. Setting of the place is amazing. Love the colors and music. Floors was very very sticky and I'm afraid to say the service was way to slow. Wanted to eat there but the beverage orders took so long due to 1 open bar the waiter have to travel to the lower level to get it that food ended as no option at all.

The best "vibe" in town! I go here on a regular base. Perfect place to park your bike away from cars, and car parking is very neat. During the week they are not so busy, on weekends it is very busy but with the beautiful tables (see photo) the social distance is still in place. The food is great, I will highly recommend the seafood potjie, you can also enjoy their fabulous cocktails. Staff are professional and it is great to be welcomed on the outside, handed over to n waiter on the inside and you do not have to wait for service.

Second visit ... wow what an experience 💜 Great food and loved the atmosphere ... you want to have a Gas of a time ... go to the Gas Monkey for a 95 premium time and not get ripped off 💜💜

Always enjoy my time here. Love the atmosphere due to the fact that it's big and not overcrowded. Our waiter Lilly was amazing, so helpful and super quick. As for the food, 10/10. I had the steak, egg and chips. Medium to rare, beautifully cooked. Good quality👌 I got straight into my plate and forgot to take pictures so I'll leave it to the imagination 🥩🍳🍟

Wow.Wow.Wow this place is truly amazing. We had a lovely time. Food is superb. Love the little curio shop too and it is not expensive as one would expect. Burgers are amazing.

Sunday afternoon 31Dec2023. Music was a bit too loud to have a conversation while luncheon with the family. Boring music anyway. Decor is interesting. Nothing exciting to go back there soon.

Very cool venue out in Boksburg, albeit huge so lost a little of the vibe as we were there early and it was empty. Drinks on the expensive side but still worth a visit before returning your own favourite local pub.

Awesome place. Great decor. Delicious burgers and fish. The Butter chicken was not tasty, a bit bland. The FOkof beer was good.

What a letdown😟 was there on Friday night after 15 minutes we left had 4 waiters pass us two was to busy trying to setup there own pool game and the other was just flat out ignoring us. Was not what we were expecting for a night out and after the hype of everyone telling us how great it was.

Great place with excellent décor and great atmosphere. My only gripe was that as I am over from UK asked for WiFi and was told they do have but not for customers lol. Go figure

What a lovely atmosphere, enjoyed the meal and dessert compliments to the chef welldone. The waiter was very kind, well spoken, excellent manners.

This is really going to depend on what you fancy. We were there during the day, and it is a really awesome pub. I loved the decor. It is a huge with two bars. I can imagine this place becomes a thunderous, loud langout in the late nights. We didn't eat, but I saw some nice goodies on plates passing us by.

Top Class service every time we come, Mothers Day was a blast. The atmosphere is always great and it's brilliant to see all the waiters & waitresses working together. Great service from Zoey our waitress keep it up.

We attended a birthday party in one of the VIP rooms. This place is setup as a restaurant, bar and club in one. Which really played into our process. We got there hungry. We had a drink ,ate and drank some more. We kind of explored the venue later in the evening. Later in the night the dance floor called. All in all a great experience. With regards to the food . 😋 freaking delicious. My steak Diane was like butter. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Word of warning. The bouncers are on the ball and always in close attendance. Don't go there with a chip on your shoulder

Due to the car show and the heat, Gas Monkey Boksburg, was extremely busy and service was rather delayed. Our first waitress disappeared after taking our order, but we were saved by Nikila. She made sure to have our orders placed in a jiffy and did so with a smile. Thanks for saving the day Nikila 😃
