Wonderful place to enjoy with family. Cleanliness is poor. As a large number of visitors visit this place, it's better to maintain this place. One can have a good look of the sunrise from this palce. Cars can be driven up to the tip of the artificially constructed structure.

This place is 500mts away from home. I have been witnessing every sunset, sunrise and every changes that happened in this place over the years. This beach looks different every hour in a day . I have lot of good memories attached to this beach. This is definitely a best place to spend with your friends, family and yourself of course! They close the beach after 6.30pm in the evening! You can see people doing activities like fishing, fitness and selling snacks. This beach road towards the ennore looks amazing and you should definitely take a drive in car or bike. Our local marine drive I would say.

N4 Beach in Kasimedu offers respite from fast-paced Chennai city life, with its multi-coloured boats and relaxed vibe At eight in the morning, when the city has woken up from its slumber, a lone, ignored coastal spot in North Chennai, near Kasimedu fishing harbour, begins to stretch and yawn. The cacophony of vehicles gives way to quietude as you enter this fishing harbour, a less glamorous neighbour of popular Kasimedu harbour, teeming with fish vendors. This port is more of a dock for all the boats. Around 1,000 vessels, big and small, painted and unpainted, are anchored here. There is a roadway that leads from the entrance to the port mouth. It makes for a beautiful drive; on your right you see fishermen, lugging heavy nets out of their boats and cleaning them; and on the other, the endless expanse of sea with its low-tide waves. A speck of a motor boat appears on the horizon. A man in a blue lungi spreads a battered yoga mat and squats in padmasana , with his spine straight, to meditate. The day has begun. Balai Rajendran and his fellow seafarers are mending their nets. โ€œAfter a rough day, these tend to tear. Also, a lot of sea waste gets caught in the net. We clear it all out and dry the nets in the sun. They are good to return to sea again after a few hours of sun bathing,โ€ he says. They say the 61-day ban on mechanised boats has hampered business. โ€œThe Government has offered just โ‚น5,000 for compensation. How can we survive on it for two months?โ€ he asks. They are happy to return to work. โ€œWe are back to earning โ‚น1,000 to 1,200 a day.โ€ S Charles, who sells garlic and tamarind in front of N4 beach says he comes here around this time to clear his mind. He comes here in the mornings as soon as he is done with his sales. Cops patrol the space constantly in the evenings; so, it is safe. However, after 8 pm, the place is deserted, there are no lights. Then, people usually avoid coming here, he says. The busiest hours are from 4 pm to 7 pm, when pani puri and ice cream stalls emerge. On Sundays, the place is milling with visitors. The ride to the port mouth is windy โ€” ideal for a diva moment, with hair on your face and your scarf swaying wild. At the port mouth, visitors take selfies and do wedding photoshoots. S Rajacharan, the shutter bug, is a resident of Rajakadai. โ€œN4 is apt as a shooting locale. Many films such as Kaakha Kaakha, Vikram Vedha, and the latest Vada Chennai were filmed here.โ€ The beach is a part and parcel of his childhood memories; he, along with his friends, would come here for a swim, followed by a stroll. The beachโ€™s potential to be used as a public space is still untapped, he says, adding that it is because of the stigma around North Chennai. โ€œNot many people from South Chennai are aware of this beach. It has a lot to do with peopleโ€™s mindset.โ€

Tired of going to Marina? Try this place. In my opinion, the best beach in Chennai. Provides many details and perspectives for good photos. It rained heavy when we last visited, crazy experience!

This is one of the most unique beaches in Chennai. This beach in North Chennai is famous for piers which goes around 100-150 metres to the sea. There are rocks on either sides of the piers and one cannot leave without taking some pictures here. The pier closes sharply at 6PM and police escorts everyone out by then. There is a beach beside the pier and is very neat. It is well connected by buses and the nearest metro station is New Washermenpet, which is around 400 metres from the beach. Overall, truly a hidden gem in Northern Chennai and is a must visit. A perfect place to hangout with friends.

Beautiful beach, very calm. Very Aesthetic and pleasing. Located in the outskirts and closes by 7PM (no where mentioned in internet). Police were strictly asking to leave the place by 6:55 PM.

Nice place. You can go there on a weekday and see her is not much crowd like the main chennai beach. A lot of couples sitting there though. You won't be comfortable of you are with family. There are a few vendors also so that you can enjoy some ice cream or juice. It is best if you go on a bike rather than a car. A few places are too tight to maneuver your car. A lot of fisherman and boats there. Sometimes smelly but the view is amazing.

Its a nice spots for family member, but parents should be very careful in taking care of their children's. As the spot is filled with big rocks and concrete, ladies can wear pants, so that you can enjoy the walk over the rock :) In weekends its too crowded. The road at the entrance is bad and, also you can feel the fish market smell, but once you get in around half a kilometer its a good place and you can feel the sea breeze. Two wheeler are allowed in and no charges for it.

Nice scenic place! Please visit this beach in the evening to experience the beautiful scenic sunset or visit in the morning to experience the sunrice. If you are not familiar with this place, it will be little confusing for you to reach here for the first time. You can see some people fishing on the pier, and you also can see fishermen get in to the see for fishing and coming back from see with the fish. You can get some chat items to taste from limited mobile shops.

An amazing place you wanna spend your time at any phase of your life. Perfect spot to hangout with buddies. Hundreds of boats are around and you can see the the harbour from there. The fishing boats are docked here to fill the ice for fish preservation and to fill the adequate fuel for the trip to make. Lots of street shops also available in case you are hungry. People here makes so much waste from eating from street shops. Didn't find any garbage bins around. Should implement.

One time visitable place... We can see prior arrangements of a fishing boat before it going to sea. We can sit and have some good talk with our friends and families. However after 6pm, policemen will clean us from the shores. I can rate the place 2/5. If you are like to fishing for fun๐ŸŽฃ, you could prefer the place.

This used to be our go-to beach as we stay near by, thought beach was unclean you have very good walking path which takes you to a distance into beach. In the last few years it has changed a lot, so many shops are in, so many visitors are arriving, the best place of this beach is to sit over the rocks which is of fan types, many films were shot over near these rocks.

an austere, adventurous, and an important place in north Chennai that describes one of the prominent features of such a great city. A dicey place, with a great view of fishing boats and crashing waves against the "popcorn paarai" and buzzing sounds of conveyor machines on the loading docks can smell salty.
