How to reach!? From batmaloo > 200 m ahead, turn to left on tri-junction> go straight 2km approx> turn left> Landmark Mughal Darbar Karan Nagar is on the left. Voila! Overall Reviews : Ordered few pastries. Had a Chicken biryani. Taste : 4/5 Convenience : 3/5 Cafeteria coupon self service. Parking : Good parking space available outside the shop. Bakery, restaurant and non-veg available here. Nice place to visit for a quick bite. Note : There are at least 3 different Mughal Darbar outlets with same name, 1) At Karan Nagar 2) Residency road near Sunday market 3) HMT My take : For orders on cakes for marriages visit one at residency. Great menu available. Rest eat aways are good at both places, residency and Karan Nagar. HMT : Bad experience of buying dry stale velvet pastry 🍰.

One of the best restaurants for Kashmiri dishes to try out. Tasty food and good staff. Variety in menu was interesting. Specialises in kebabs Wazwan. Veg items were also good. Had a good experience.good food at a cheap rate.the ambience is questionable.good place to eat if you are in a hurry and just need a joint to satisfy your hunger...

Mughal Darbar in Srinagar offers a delightful journey into Kashmiri cuisine, presenting a rich array of Mughlai and local specialties. The restaurant's ambiance complements the flavors, creating a cultural dining experience. With attentive service and a menu showcasing the region's culinary heritage, it's a recommended stop for those seeking authentic tastes in the heart of Srinagar.

One of the best restaurants of Srinagar. Serves the best authentic kashmiri dishes, you would fall in live with the food here. Infact not just the food, but the restaurant seating area and the ambience too. It would make you feel as if you are one of the locals there. The hospitality which they show is also beyond words. I had a great experience, definitely recommend this place You can’t miss this if you are a food lover

We had mukhal darbar Wazwan. it was really bad. And the bill was 1350. 1250 for Wazwan,80 for salad and balance amount for gst. I paid the bill ang given the waiter 50rs tip and the waiter said there is 10% service charge but that not in the bill then he changed 150 rupees for service charge. It was really a terrible experience please don't go to the fraud restaurant..

Mughal Darbar Bakery has truly improved in terms of quality. Tried some pastry and I must say that I was astonished. I enjoyed and loved its taste. Unfortunately, Something wrong happens to their quality and gets degraded around Eid... Perhaps rush and then compromising on quality. I would suggest as a customer that they should never disappoint us and should maintain their standards.

It was very annoying when my bill was 1135 , I gave 1200 , for my lunch, I finished my lunch in 20 min , the service man directly said thankyou sir , didn't gave me Rs 65 back. I was totally not satisfied with the service , food quality and taste. Level of loot in a smart way . I would suggest people of Kashmir as well as people outside jk avoid this place as there are good and better options available. I have eaten in every restaurant in Srinagar ,this Was my worst experience.

Mughal Darbar Restaurant is one of the famous restaurants in Srinagar. I don't know how famous it is among local people but it is quite famous among tourists. When we were visiting Srinagar, our driver recommended us to have wajwan food for dinner and this restaurant as the best famous wajwan food here. None of us liked this dish. So we order butter naan and chicken again. And these two dishes were quite tasty.

Too bad waiters, bad behavior towards customers and worst food I have had in Kashmir, I felt small outlet would do much better than them. Better avoid Mughal Darbar. Save your day

Worst food that you ever taste in this town. We visited there today order chicken kebab, mutton rogan josh etc. Kebab was feel like rubber and was not fresh. The taste of gravy was too blunt. They need to improve their recipe strongly.

Mughal Darbar is a restaurant that claims to offer authentic Kashmiri wazwan, a traditional multi-course meal of the Kashmiri cuisine. It is situated on the main road east and is not hard to find. However, when my family and I visited this place, we were baffled by the fact that there were two restaurants with the same name, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. We had no idea which one was the original and better one, so we randomly picked the one upstairs. We hoped to have a pleasant dinner, but we were sorely disappointed by the food quality. The service was quick, but that was the only positive thing about our experience. The food was extremely salty and bland, with no trace of the flavor and aroma that we expected from Kashmiri food. We tried Kashmiri Wazwan, but it didn't satisfied our taste buds. The wazwan plate was expensive at 1200 rupees, but it did not match the value at all. The only roti they served was made of refined flour, as they mainly focused on rice dishes. The biryani was also mediocre and dry. The staff was courteous and attentive, but the food rating was 1/10. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy Kashmiri food. There might be better alternatives elsewhere that can provide a more authentic and delicious experience. Not recommended.... 👎

The food was great, the service was excellent, should have more space. When I visited there it was a rush time. Fully packed and our group waited some long for lunch. What we had was Rista, wazwan plate, goshtaba with rice and mutton rogan josh. It's authentic and tasty with the proper spices only. When we entered we felt there was a little bit of a conjunction. Waited around 15-30mn for the seats. (Not at all a problem.) Service guy, don't remember his name. He was very friendly and informative. Gave a good idea about the dishes and also about the quantity. (He was an aged person)

Very good ambience, and one of the best Mughal restaurants I've been to yet. Tried the mutton biryani, and although it was a bit expensive, it was worth the price. The rice grains were long and flavourful, and cooked to perfection. The mutton pieces were tender and succulent. Also, the raita as an accompaniment went perfectly with the biryani. A vegetarian friend of mine also ordered the Kashmiri pulao, and it was very delicious as well. Overall, highly recommended for a visit if you're in Srinagar.

Came here for our first lunch in Srinagar as recommended by our driver. The restaurant is popular among the locals for their non veg fare. We tried the famous Wazwan here but didn't like it that much. More of an acquired taste I guess. Rest of the dishes were pretty good, however the kashmiri rice takes some getting used to

It has become some sort of a legend with Kashmiris and tourists, but I personally think they can do better. The restaurant itself is decent with good ambience but there is a lot of ambiguity regarding the price of a Kashmiri Wazvan! Some people said they were charged 900 rupees, but we were charged around 1200 for the same, and that's a shame if they're doing it to the tourists! The taste was good though, but the quality of service and the presentation can be improved. They have amazing silverware, but they've just lost interest in serving customers. There are more than one branches of this restaurant.

Visited this place on recommendation of our driver, and totally regretted it. Ordered quarter wazwan costing 1200/-. It had absolutely no flavor, mutton looked so old and chewy. Chicken was so dry and had no taste. We ordered veg kashmiri pulav as well, which wasn't any better. Place is crowded too. Stay away from this place!

We had wazwan there which tasted amazing. The waiters were really helpful and friendly. They recommended different dishes which we should try and explained the food items (how we should eat, the ingredients etc). Wazwan is the item to recommend there as it consists of multiple different types of kebabs. P.S:: I just came to know that there are 2 floors, we had our lunch on the ground floor. Don't know if the service is any different on the other floors.

The Mughal Darbar restaurant in Kashmir is a popular dining destination known for its delicious Kashmiri cuisine. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance with traditional Kashmiri decor, including intricate woodwork and beautiful carpets. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and the service is prompt. The menu at Mughal Darbar features a wide range of authentic Kashmiri dishes, including Rogan Josh, Gushtaba, and Tabak Maaz, which are all prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional spices. The flavors are rich and flavorful, and the portions are generous. One of the highlights of dining at Mughal Darbar is the Wazwan, a traditional Kashmiri feast consisting of multiple courses of dishes served on a large platter. The Wazwan is a unique culinary experience and a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant. In addition to the food, Mughal Darbar also offers a range of beverages, including traditional Kashmiri Kahwa, which is a delicious and refreshing tea made with saffron and spices. Overall, the Mughal Darbar restaurant in Kashmir is an excellent dining destination for anyone looking to experience authentic Kashmiri cuisine. The restaurant's ambiance, food, and service are all top-notch, and the Wazwan feast is an experience not to be missed.

The bakery is really good. Try their mutton patties, large bakarkhanis, and velvet walnut cakes. The staff is always helpful and the people at counter cordial. Way better than some of the newer fancier bakeries in Srinagar.

We went last November, we had a plan to dine here from the time of we were planning for our Kashmir tour, we came here with a lot of expectation and hunger, but compared to that, nothing so incredible happened, the special- Kashmir special dish WaZWan here was not very good or amazing. The food is good, the service is also very good........we had a 3yrs kid with us; they provided separate food without spices for the kids on behalf of our queries. For that we are very grateful. But as much as I am disappointed this time, hopefully this regret will be fulfilled in the future. All the very best to you all.

Visited here to try one of the wazwan dishes, ordered rogan Josh full plate( no concept of half plate) the lamb was very tender and the you could sense the aroma of spices. The spices were perfectly blend with the lamb making it really tasty and spicy. Prices are little on the higher side. Must try when you are at Srinagar

Well I have no clue why such a good rating has been given here . The food is not good for the ones coming from Haryana or Punjab or nearby. The taste is average, the breads doesn’t break down until you get a jaw line by chewing them . The vegetables are not at all tasteful. All over I’d say . This place should be your last choice ONLY.

My recent encounter with Mughal Darbar chicken biryani was far from satisfying. Here's an honest review of this disappointing experience The chicken biryani didn't resemble the classic dish; it looked more like a mishmash of plain basmati rice with artificial coloring. The presentation was unappetizing and did not align with the expectations for a biryani Rating: ⭐

Mughal darbar serves authentic kashmiri cuisine food. The ambience is fabulous and its arrange like a darbar, and seating arrangement also nice. The food we tried was vasta, rasam and mutton. It was as per kashmiri cuisine but we dont like it may be because of we dont know about there way of cooing and there spices. It was good but still we was just not that satisfied. Staff was good and service was also good. You can try it.

When in Srinagar, Kashmir. You gotta visit this place. Amazing taste. Must try Wazwaan. However, i deducted 1* as the staffs force you to go for Wazwaan which is a good option but sometimes it gets very heavy. The full Wazwaan plate costs approx 5k which 5 people can eat.

A big no if you are planning to have the over-hyped wazwan here. I went there with the recommendation of our taxi driver and later got to know that they get commission from the restaurant. It's a big scam in the name of authentic wazwan. Those who have given 5 star are either fake or they don't have good taste. White Rice - 3/5 cold Pulav - 3/5 cold Salad - 5/5 Yakhni - 5/5 Paneer - 3/5 Chicken starter in Wazwan - 0/5 tasteless rubber pieces Mutton Seekh Kabab -2/5 Fried (doesn't seem grilled), little elastic in nature Tabak Maaz - 1/5 Fatty, some parts are crispy and some parts very hard to chew Rishta - 0/5 cold, Salty, very bad smell, hard like a cricket ball. Gushtaba - 0/5 Brother of Rishta Rogan Josh - 2/5 Salty bone pieces with less meat All the dishes were cold and the smell was not good at all. My wife suffered with vomiting after having this and I normalised my taste by eating kitkat and fruit salad after this. With a lot of effort we could only eat 40% of the food. We totally wasted hard earned 2800/- (food price + service tax + tip).

We had Kashmiri wazwan dish price is 1200 rupees, it’s included rice,Kashmiri pulao, Two sheek kebabs, a lamb grilled meat, chicken grill a peace, Rista one peace with gravy, Gustaba with gravy, Rogan josh, chili meat. waiters suggested these for two people but it’s enough for three people if you order naan , food was excellent except i m not impressed with rogan josh and chili meat, But i will suggest must try wazwan dish so you can taste all Kashmiri wazwan. it’s 10 out of 10 for food service and value of money.

WORST ever experience in any restaurant in India. Specially for Veg people. They didn't provide spoon/Glass for water even after we asked multiple times. Worst service I have ever seen in my life. they throw(not even put properly on table) bill without asking while having our meal. Nobody cares, even we complaint on bill counter. we have to leave the restaurant without having complete meal.
