I would say the property is good and the vibe of green is good and the pool area was wonderful.. The restaurant staff really need to look out for the guest's requests on top priority and serve the food on time. They need to groom themselves well and should wear neat uniforms. I've visited many different sorts of restaurants from local small cafes to 5-star places for having coffee and food. But what I've experienced here, the food we've had ordered was overpriced with regard to the quality and taste of the food. The Washroom doors were looking shabby and peeled at the edge. Somebody from the resort should be present there for constant cleaning and spraying. It's one of the most important factors for a guest to make or break the deal for an overnight stay if you are claiming this as a five star property. I wish you all the best and hope you will look into these things very closely and work on them for further improvement.

It is a stunning place. On the edge of shrinagar, Orchard Retreat is a like a little hamlet on its own. Spacious and clean cottages with beautiful large windows overlooking amazingly manicured gardens with the backdrop of snow-covered Himalayas. The food was also quite good. I had the privilege of meeting the owners and their dedication to the quality and upkeep of the retreat gives it its unique character and warmth. Definitely a great place to stay.

Beautiful property with very helpful staff. The cottages are very good in size with walking wardrobe and cleanliness was also top notch. It is like living truly in an apple orchard. We were lucky to see the apple and other trees blooming. Food was really good and all our requests as per our dietary requirements were catered. Would love to come back and stay again.

It was a great stay. Rooms were equipped with all the amenities, room service was prompt and rooms were also good. It is a scenic resort. Food was delicious and spread was good with kids friendly options. All in all it is a great place to stay for vacation in Srinagar Staff was also friendly and warm. Loved the resort. Had a relaxing experience in the beautifully built resort. The staff was warm and cordial. All amenities were there. Safety and security was very tight. Food was good. I enjoyed forging friendships with fellow travellers in the resort.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Orchard recently, and it was an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with warm lighting and tasteful decor. The menu was a delightful mix of flavors and options, making it difficult to choose just one dish. Our waiter, Mr Akhtar, guided us through the menu with expertise and enthusiasm. They were incredibly attentive, making insightful recommendations based on our preferences.

This is a great hotel but secluded from the city, if you want to be in a peaceful place you can opt to stay here. Location of this hotel is a bit far from the airport and other locations you have to visit like Gulmarg and Pahalgam but it is near to Sonmarg Valley if you want to visit there. Overall a very hospitable staff and a warm stay here. The rooms tend to get very cold if you do not turn on the AC (the AC can also heat your room). The washroom is very cold even if you keep the door to the washroom open and turn on the AC, it still remains very cold. Every cottage has its own water heater. Overall a very pleasant stay here.

Beautiful, serene property amidst apple orchard (as the name suggests) however slightly away from Srinagar. Recommend staying here especially if you'd like to enjoy nature and some quite time. The staff and the owner are very friendly and helpful. I suggest booking the airport pick-up through the hotel since they offered us discounted rate of INR 1000 as opposed to other taxi vendors. Food is delicious, cottages are spacious and staff is very helpful. Definitely recommend if you'd like some peaceful time connecting with nature!

Great, cosy hotel with very attentive staff. Pervez and team made sure our every little wish was taken care of when dining. Rooms have ample heat (revesible ACs installed), bathrooms have centrally heated water. Has an excellent game room with huge snooker table, children's play area with trampoline. gym, spa swimming pool (though it's not heated so can only be used on summer)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel during my trip to Srinagar. Speaking of the room, it was nothing short of spectacular. Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. Overall, my experience was beyond exceptional.

Travelers BEWARE! We visited this property in April, 2023. We booked one of the suites with many high expectations as the photographs seemed quite appealing. The check-in was smooth - unfortunately, this was the only “smooth” part of our stay. We were allocated a room that had a very strong putrid smell in the changing rooms and washroom. We called reception once, and they confirmed they'd send someone to investigate this. After spending over an hour in the room with no one from the management team to check this, we had to physically walk over to the reception and request an individual behind the counter to send someone over. Upon a thorough check, they suggested a move to a different room - I am not sure why such a room was allocated to us and why it took over an hour for the management to move us! This instance and the management’s turnaround time were very offputting. It was my wife’s birthday during one of the days of our stay, and I’d made prior arrangements (i.e., payments) for a romantic dinner around a bonfire and a birthday cake. Due to poor weather conditions, neither the bonfire nor the dinner was made - the management, instead of refunding this amount, very egregiously notified us that they would not be reimbursing any amount regardless of the outcome; we even tried requesting that our dinner should be compensated as we had deposited a fairly large amount for the exact thing, this was also not honored by the management. The birthday cake (which we had already paid for) was added to the final bill- we had to haggle with folks at the reception to correct the final bill. The in-room dining was sub-par, and the breakfast buffet had stale food - we went to the buffet twice, and the food items were cold and stale. For the money this property charges, it’s a shame that management is clueless about the basics of hospitality. I’d never be coming back to this establishment.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is stunning, both the open area and downstairs restaurant. Cocktails wow, and lovely selection of desserts. I loved the ambient atmosphere there! Loved the food but the service was even more praise worthy! Especially Mr. Akhter. He was utterly polite and welcoming. The Orchid is lucky to have such a nice man working for them!

It’s a boutique resort slightly away from the city. The best part is individual cottages provided by them. They could however improve the variety served in dinner buffet. There are no starters. And in our 3 nights of stay Goan Fish Curry was served twice (same recipe). Salads variety is good. They also have a recreation room with home theater, striker game and billiards, outdoor games for kids such as jumping. They also have cycles but they’re not maintained well.

Nice property and very well maintained .Service was not so nice as they gave my takeaway breakfast to someone else who had a flight earlier than me and I had to stay hungry because in the evening the manager said I can get takeaway breakfast so I relied on him.I should have ordered something else from outside as a backup plan in advance as I got nothing at airport also that early and had to stay hungry throughout until afternoon. Location is also poor it's in some narrow road , feels like a village. But once you enter the property it's very good

I stayed at this exciting property on my first trip to Kashmir. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this excellent resort. The staffs are great and the food is excellent. The property is a little away from the hustle and bustle of Srinagar but the lovely snowfall and the ambience of the property gave us an excuse to extend our stay for couple of days . I am planning to visit this resort again during spring.

I would give a 4.5 star review Only because of the location I’m not able to give 5 star Having said that - do your research correct when selecting hotel, I missed in checking how far the resort is from the central city. Otherwise, we loved the whole experience, staff at the restaurant were amazing and were so accommodating to our needs for my 4 year old boy. Also, did spa, Tutu was amazing and felt great after the massage, would definitely recommend visiting.

Our hotel stay was very comfortable. We had visited during last week of November and it was very cold outside. The hotel interiors are warm and one can actually remove all winter clothing in the rooms as well as dining area. The staff is super helpful and warm. The food was delicious and each meal had couple of local preparations which is a must try for all. Special thanks to Mr Akhtar who was very helpful and took care of our group which consisted of 4 kids. He and his colleagues were affectionate towards the kids and let the kids play around as well.Would also like to mention Parvaiz Jaffer and team for their service which was flawless. All of the other staff including front desk was helpful and guided us correctly whenever we enquired about anything. Superb experience for our group. Would recommend a stay whenever in Srinagar.

Excellent stay at the Orchard Retreat with a superb and comfortable stay. The highlight is the service and staff who is ever smiling and helpful. The food is just awesome and perfect blend of world cuisine, comfort food and local fare. The service in the restaurant by Akhtar, Javed and Rahul made each meal a delight. It's a nice place for staying for all tourists. Located on the outskirts of city surrounded by greenery under shadows of zabarwan mountains is very scenically located The approach alley to the resort resembles a green tunnel surrounded by trees and fresh air. This place is very near to world famous Dal Lake and Mughal Gardens. One of best hotel a tourist can find in the valley particularly Srinagar. Also one of the best place for locals for functions and parties. Prices can be a bit lower though

Though we didn't stay here, we were able to see the whole property including the rooms. The design of the property is gorgeous, the rooms in cottages are large and well appointed, bathrooms are modern and well laid out. They also have family cottages where 2 rooms are interconnected, the gardens are full with a variety of flowers and fruit trees. The swimming pool is of fairly good size. Children's park, activity room, table tennis, badminton court and putting area is provided. The coffee shop menu is large enough. Service is great.

Very descent and peaceful place. Cleanliness at its peak. The entire staff is very cooperative and kind especially Mr. Akhtar ☺️. His smile can make everyone's day 😀. I always prefer to come here bcoz I think there is no other place like this.....

Outstanding property. Orchard Retreat and Spa is a hidden treasure in the outskirts of Srinagar. Lovely location amidst mountains and fruit orchards.The chalets were superb. Had a wonderful stay at Orchard retreat . Great hospitality.. Mr.Tahir,Mr.Akhtar and Mr.Javid Pervez were awesome..Their hospitality was to the next level. When we check in our TV is not working for both rooms. We have to wait for few hours to wait to fix that, Shower is spraying water out said the shower,Sink had only Hot water. Room was clean bathroom area was dirty. Restaurant was great, Food was awesome. Mr, Rayees was great Chef. I give 5/5 for restaurant stuff.

The resort was beautiful with greenery and scenic beauty. Food was delicious. Staff was caring. Rooms were spacious and neat and clean .Special thanks to Mr Parvez Ahmad to arrange food according to our taste. We would definitely recommend Orchid resort to our family and friends.

You will get a better hotel in this price. Also the staff were lethargic especially senior executives. Not a happy experience (ordinary experience). Hospitality in Kashmir is superb but this hotels lacks it big time

It has a good location. Staff is good. Food though good could be made much better. Very scenic. Bicycle rides in the gardens are worth it . It's a good property with a good orchard - apples , pears, etc.

It may seem that you've arrived at the place but the sign board are just getting started. When you finally reach the spot you realise that it is a heaven hoarded within Srinagar City. Glorious ambience and food served is up to mark! Apart from parks, playground and a well maintained swimming pool, the framework of this resort is all in all welcoming. Do visit the place once!

The hotel is beautifully set between mountains and lush green gardens. The lawns are always perfectly manicured . Lovely apple and pear trees adorn the same. The service is wonderful and especially Mr Abrar was so helpful and completely took care of every small detail regarding our travels and itinerary. Highly recommend staying here.

One best experience of staying at this property.it was amazing view the staff even though mostly the locals they were amazingly helpful we were with kids and they would serve us almost everything on the table for the buffet. They even went that extra mile and served us anything which was not in the buffet menu for the day. We asked them for milk for the baby and they didn't charged us for it. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and we would definitely visit Srinagar again and stay at Orchad resort. They had a games room play areas and lawns .I would specially mentioned Mr. Akhtar for his amazing service. Thanks Orchard service team.
