The food taste is average and highly overpriced. Guy goes out and buys a soft drink and sells it in twice the price. I got 3 rotis for 120 rupees and one trout for 530 rupees. So, it's just bad quality, quantity and over pricing.

Had butter trout fried and I swear this is the worst fish fry I've ever had in my life. So, I'll never recommend anyone to have fish in this restaurant. The ambience is good as and has an outdoor sitting which gives a pleasant vibe to this place. However, food over here is just average with huge cost. They have a beautiful garden u can enjoy ur meal in that garden n inside room too...foods r quite delicious....veg biryani is quite good though, bt i love chilli paneer fried rice (nt gd at remembering name) bt this dish was awesome never had this before they made me fall in love with this dish ...due to full of peps didn't chance to took pics 🥲 although food n atmosphere was awesome... Definitely going here again to taste those chicken items ❤️

Tao is a wonderful restaurant and cafe located in the centre of Srinagar city. It is located in the main shopping district of Srinagar. It is a small restaurant and cafe which has a good variety of cuisines. The staff is friendly and courteous. The place is not fancy but has a modern look. Overall, it is a great place to have a bite and relax in a peaceful ambience.

There is a indoor and pleasant garden seating. Average food And prices, good place yo relax and have food.

Tao Restaurant it was my ist visit to be here, and i found it very much tasty. This has a single story infrastructure with a great flower lawns and beds where you can enjoy the fragrance of flower petals and the aroma of tao's Food... It has got the cementic cells surrounded by flowers round the corner and you can have your meals over these cementic cells at the centre of flower beds.

Tao name of this restaurant is from the Midnight children by Salman Rushdie. It has lost its touch, slipped down the ladder. It could have been an Icon of Srinagar, but they missed the bus.

Pros: Great outdoor place. Smells amazing. Surrounded by flowers. Cons: food tasted okay, not good. There were a thousand mosquitos around, to say the least.

The calm and the ambience of peace offered by the place is something special. If you want to talk and sit over a discussion without wanting to be distributed, this is the place of choice. I am giving just 3 stars to the food because the particular item I ordered, didn't taste good. Rest the place is worth a visit.
