We visited this property last in June, 2022. We choose this location because it was just few minutes away from Dal lake. The hotel provide us their best room, huge and neat and clean. It has beautiful wooden roof may be because of winters. There is local food outlet outside the hotel, but not much choices. For Dal lake you can hire auto. The restaurant has pool table available in recreation room. Breakfast has fewer option and sitting space is little small. Overall it was comfortable stay.

The rooms are quite old but I loved this place. The heating was top notch. Also the accessibility to other vegetarian hotels nearby was helpful. If you are a vegetarian in Kashmir don’t think twice to stay here. Rooms can be a little old school but everything works as expected. We had an early morning flight and they were kind enough to give us packed sandwiches for breakfast. The food was good too. Room service can be expensive but you don’t need that when you have the famous Krishna dhaba right opposite to this hotel. Go for it!

A very pleasant stay at Srinagar. Welcoming and endearing staff, a special mention about Mr Waseem who ensured we never went hungry and unsatisfied taste buds. Overall a very good pick to stay in Kashmir.

Great Hospitality This hotel staff demonstrated hospitality at every level, right from the lobby, front desk, and restaurant staff entire team. Food is great & wide variety. Staff service is great. Rooms are quite cosy but needs to be maintained properly. Special mention of Employee name Mr. Ashish their Manager, he was very attentive and always quickly rendering help & support to the guests.Kudos for Ashish jee and will come back again.

Best Hotel in town with best vegetarian breakfast and on spot location..staffs are cooperative ,experienced ,professionals and helpful,food was delicious dal lake is on walking distance also visible from some of it's rooms.Hotel has all the required amenities for a comfortable stay in Srinagar.

A good hotel at a very suitable location in a popular part of town. Well appointed with ample parking. Rooms can be improved on. Food is great, a treat for vegetarians. Good value for money.

We came here for a quick lunch and the staff were very keen on selling us the buffet option. We ordered alacarte and our order took eons to arrive. Although the food was tasty, it was delivered to our table after a long wait. Wait staff are somewhat arrogant and have a take it or leave it attitude. They were conversing amongst themselves more than attending to the guests . Good food let down by poor service staff behaviour

A pure vegetarian hotel, provide Jain food. Taste is average. In front of the hotel there is Vaishnav dhaba. Property looks aged, rooms are just ok, toilet is kinda old style. Service is slow needs multiple reminders. Staff is good and well behaved. There are better options which are cheaper with new property. If Jain/vegetarian food is the must requirement and you don't want to search outside then go for this.

Batra hotel is a Great Hotel with comfortable pricing, Centrally located place with many eateries around The service provided by their courteous staff make you feel very comfortable, Mr Aashish made us feel very homely and made sure we had everything required, We travelled with our parents and we took Map plan Food was very good during both the meals and staff was courteous enough to even give us additional items which was not on menu that day, They had good heater AC of Mitsubishi in individual rooms which helped to control individual room temperature, We found them more comfortable as one could individual control of each room Highly recommeneded, Five Stars to super courteous Staff

Stay is ok. Good for family but not for couples if you are expecting a romantic stay. They told us morning n evening from 6.30-11 hot water will come but there was no hot water. Breakfast was okay. Best part of this stay is location. It is nearby dal lake and many good restaurants at walking distance.

It was a great stay for 3 days...the staff were very polite and helpful. Special thanks to Wasim, the guy in the restaurant - really took very good care, especially my 5 year old daughter. Great food, the best place for Veg lovers.. Very reasonable cost. I am sure to stay here again on my next visit

One of the best hotel we stayed in Srinagar. Rooms are spacious and cozy we stayed in bunch of different hotels around however Batra was one of the hotel that was good made us feel absolutely good the staff are absolutely helpful, humble and always out there to help you with everything. Mr Basheer f&B manager made sure the food was served well he would always be around smiling and greeting everyone with so much warmth, On the front desk there is Ehram absolutely gem of a girl helping at all given time and also Rashid and Muzzafar who made sure our check in check out was hassle free. Would definitely everyone to stay.

THE WASHROOMS NEED WORK! super slippery floors, leaky faucets and commodes and what not! The positives: REALLY CLOSE TO DAL LAKE, probably the only fully veg hotel in the area (can be considered a negative as well!), the staff is good, friendly, well behaved. The negatives: the linens aren’t well maintained, washrooms are really not maintained well, the breakfast (pardon my french) sucked, but why would you eat here anyway? DalGate is hardly 1km away and there are some really really good restaurants there, dine there.

A great stay at the hotel! Rooms were quite cosy, but the only drawback was that the water was getting stagnant in the washroom! Apart from that, when we had a failed Heater in the room, the staff was quick enough to get it fixed for us within minutes! Service is very good and all the staff are welcoming and friendly! Also, it has a complete vegetarian restaurant in the ground floor. We had great varieties of food for both breakfast and dinner. Even though they have a buffet system, they were kind enough to serve us the dishes we'd asked for, in the buffet. However, there are a couple of vegetarian restaurants near the hotel if the guests wish to eat outside! Overall, it was a pleasant and safe stay at "Batra Hotel & Residencies". Good food and courteous,helpful staff. Rooms are not well maintained. The furniture is very old. Lift sensors don't work. Not worth the price. But they are renovating the property. Hopefully it will be better.

No electric sockets working. No cleanliness. Overhyped. After seeing the reception the hotel looks 5 star but the rooms lack basic amenities.

Rudimentary rooms. Bathroom has no separation between shower and rest of the area, and water stagnates all over. Fan is useless. Most of the toiletries were given only after following up. Breakfast buffet 3.5/5 and lunch ala carte was 4.5/5. Especially veg pulao was awesome.

We were very particular for a pure veg hotel. Difficult to find one in Srinagar, however for people looking at pure veg stuff l, Hotel batra is the answer The food taste is pretty good and all the staff are courteous and take a lot of care

This is a highly unprofessional property avoid at all cost. Irfan and sajjad sre unprofessional front desk people who don't know how to take a simple booking. They will take your booking and at last minute refuse because they have no system of proper booking. We had booked two rooms for two people and we confirmed with them in morning to which they agreed, when we reached in evening they refused booking saying they have only one room. This hotel only works because of large number of veg restaurants nearby else no chance such unprofessional and low maintained property would work.

Srinagar is a station with low temperatures. The hotel do not have basic hot water facility except for dome timings. 2. Checking timing us at 1.00 PM which is not comfortable to the tourists who opt morning flights n moreover non availability of hot water on checking in. 3. The Hotel owner replies review as a robotic reply. Kindly check the replies of the owner from last several months. 4. The reception says room rent us 7000. Absolutely waste
