Stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. The first day experience was the worst. Even though we were staying there for 4 nights, the room (207) provided had the most horrible view once you open curtains. We requested the management to change the room, at first, we got extremely lousy reply. However, later they obliged and provided us with much better room and to our surprise on the last night we were given a Suite room. The best thing about the hotel is its location.. Shalimar Garden is walkable and Dal is 10 mins away too.

The location of hotel is excellent with nearby attractions like Dal lake and Mughal Garden. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The food in hotel restaurant is quite good and you will feel good during your stay. Overall I like it.

Wrost Place, Hotel Manager Mr. Nadeem will not miss any chance to spoil your whole trip if whole trip(including transport and local travel plan) is not booked through him. He just care for his commission. Whole staff is so unprofessional and rude. If visiting with Family specially with Kids, pls avoid this hotel. There are many other good hotel nearby. Basic things like Electricity and Hot water are not available 24*7 in the hotel what else you can expect from them. No Proper lighting in rooms.

I HAVE NEVER STAYED AT A WORSE HOTEL. Rudest Staff. Worst service. Horrible food. Unclean towels. NO HOT WATER AND NO AC. No redressal of complains. There were 20 of us. Each person has the same opinion. Gave one star only because zero is not an option.

This hotel is situated between Nishar garden and Shalimar Garden. More close to Shalimar. The only reason of giving 4 star is the staff they have, so nice, friendly, well behaved, humble, proactive, resolve the issues like a pro. Buffet is not that big but what ever they cool, IT’S DELICIOUS 😋. Wi-Fi is an issue here not because of the hotel but because of some or other VIP Movements. Eminence is good. It’s easy to commute if you have your own vehicle otherwise hotel staff will arrange it for you. Had a good time there.

1-Star hotel with Graveyard along side. Worst hotel i have ever seen/heard and infact anyone else within my friends and relatives have experienced. It's because of pathetic services from the hotel management especially Nadeem, who is taking care of all. This guy will promise lot of things at the time of booking but once you check-in, you will got to know the reality and their behaviour will completely change. This hotel is full of greedy people where they wants only money but doesn't care about hospitality. If you still want to explore it, don't go for the package and tranport provided by hotel as it would be a big hole on your pocket. No electricity in hotel rooms when we have checked in, No hot water supply, which are the basic things even for a low budget stays. Rooms were not cleaned. No one is listening if you call at reception or on provided extensions for service. If any person is coming for room service they are demanding money every time. I think hotel owner (Mohd. Khan) should seriously look into this because their are lot of people who has shared same kind of feedback here, ibibo and trip advisor as well. Not safe for family stay and because of on road location pollution is one of the reason to stay away from this property where they will charge a lot because they are promoting it as a 3 star property but actually it's 1 star as per the offered services. Also there is a Graveyard just next to this property. These guys have completely spoiled our trip and i must say it's a hell on earth.

We stayed in this property for one day during Srinagar visit. The room was small and having seepage on walls. Front office staff was not cooperative as it should be. When i asked for owner’s number the guy at front office said owner is in foreign so we can’t share his number. On doing many requests they didn’t change our room. Buffet food was also not good. Rotis were fully loaded with maida which results into food poisoning next day. Overall very bad experience.

I was visiting Kashmir for 1st time and selected this hotel. It was kind of worth it more than 5 star. The staff of Hotel is too polite, caring and good. I also loved their food it’s hygiene and good. The Room are clean and have heater facilities which are good and keep room cozy. The owner is too polite and care taking. I myself have recommended my friends & family visiting from gujarat to stay here it was totally great Experience!

The hotel has a premium feel. Rooms are large, Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are large, well maintained, breakfast and dinner were excellent. But one has to tell them specifically to change the sheets and towels.

Worst service because they have untrained staff and managers know nothing about hospitality. Bad quality food and also they don’t have basics of how to behave and talk with guests. Local and untrained people are the frontline workers. Also, they always answer with a big NO for every request you make. Specially, f&b manager shouldn’t be there. They also keep staring at womens. Basically, find another hotel. This reviews are fake. Doesn’t deserve to be in hospitality sector at all.

Amazing hotel with great hospitality. Everyone in the hotel staff right from at managers at reception, to hotel staff and housekeeping staff were always at the service and very courteous during our three days stay. We had booked 3 deluxe rooms and were upgraded to one suite. The suite was huge with adequate amenities right from central heating to hair dryer (which didn’t work in the bathroom) but they to gave us another one. The breakfast and dinner buffet had decent options not very lavish but had enough varieties of vegetables/ gravy dish. The restaurant menu pricing is slightly expensive, however, that’s the price you pay for premium property. Some of our relatives were ill and the hotel manager was kind enough to take us to a doctor in his car. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the hotel and would come back again. Thanks to the entire staff of Grand Mahal for making our stay memorable.

Very nice hotel. Excellent staff.. Prompt services.. Rooms :- are very nice.. clean & hygienic. Location :- located in between Shalimar & Nishad Baugh. Walkable :- Shalimar garden just 12 min. Food Quality :- Excellent one.. Downtown:- is 15 to 20 min drive. But Dal Lake can be reached by walk for 20 min approximately.

Wonderful Hotel. The staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. Warm rooms. Food is excellent. Wide spread . And ideally located. Neat and clean place. Mr Liaquat the Housekeeping Manager is all around the place 24/7 to look after the guests needs.

Worst hotel staff i have seen in Kashmir tour. Over greedy for tip. And worst reception and management over there they will try to make you pay More in any absurd reason. They made me pay 1000 for bed sheet stain removal. Caused by flower decoration, Decorated by hotel.

A nice and spacious property situated at the hillocks of zabarwan mountain range. visit for lodging and resto. In Close proximity with famous Mughal gardens viz: Shalimar Garden 1/2 at its right and 2km to Nishat Garden at its left.. Harwan is at 3 kms from the property. I found the hotel service satisfactory.

A very decent hotel located right in the center of Srinagar, which allows easy transport to any part of Kashmir. The rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. The breakfast and dinner buffet will leave you speechless. Must recommended for everyone travelling to Srinagar.

Speechless service. My kids were not well during the tour all staff came to see them time to time. Took extra care.. provided everything whatever we needed timely . All staff r well mannered v supportive soft spoken by heart loving. Truly I'm thankful to the all staff n members of grand mahal. Can't forget how u let us feel Ike a family. Thanx a lot. ❤️

Booked 9 rooms for my guests. I really want to leave a 1 start because there was a guy on reservation Mr. Nasir who completely misbehaved with me also with my guests when i went inside the hotel he didn't allow me he say you can't come inside the hotel and i said you can call my guests and tell them one of your travel agent has here to meet you but he was saying i am not going to do it i will not allow you inside the hotel and when i call my guests they come to meet me and that time Mr. Nasir did same with my guets and he used the abuse language I think he was drunk that time and when i tell him i will complaint you he said just do it i am owner of this property. But only for one person i will not leave you one star my guests get the very good experience of Kashmir trip and they also liked the property and service of the hotel.

The hotel is very clean .. good dining ... the mountains and natural surroundings are visible from the room, the staff service is good .. hot water facility

Wonderful place with very nice people. Excellent fresh food. Top quality cloth Store attached . Management and staff help you in any way you need , even cook food off- menu! You want to come back here ...... Lovely hotel decor

Service: The manager was friendly and helpful. The staff require proper training. Eg there is a luggage trolley, in spite of that the person carried all the bags by hand.May be for tip, i dont know why. There was no WiFi in room available, alternative was to connect to lobby WiFi which is not available in room. Once the manager left, the other staff who attended the reception was not good in handling things. Rooms: The deluxe room in which I stayed had water leaking issue. The room and bed was drenched with water. When informed for the same, got very poor response. Later they asked us to shift to an upgraded room. There was no solutions offered for the clothes spoiled and the time which got wasted. Location: We had car and hence it was okay. But there are many hotels near to the lake, which could be useful to help avoid parking problems and also perhaps for a walk around Dal lake.

Our group of 15 people stayed here for 2 nights..Below average place to stay.. Not at all 3* property.. Food too was not at all good.. Chhole, Rajma, Tomato Paneer, Dal tadka, Aloo ki subji were so watery that one could have easily swim in these subjis.. They served maggie for today's breakfast. . 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Not at all recommended..
