The property is very beautiful and well maintained. The food is just awesome! Located at the heart of the city and is very easy to reach! The staff is very welcoming and soft spoken, they just need to work little bit more on their room service! Had nice 3 days stay at the hotel residency!

Unlocked the rooms in my absence with the master key for room cleaning although I had not provided my room keys for the same. This raises a concern from security and privacy point of view. Giving 2 stars to service because of this. But the food quality, room cleanliness and ambience is awesome.

The hotel was very nice, huge room spacious and location is also very nice. The food was really delicious and service was also really quick. The breakfast menu also had a variety of options and even Ala Carte was quickly served. Only negative thing that they were to be reminded again for switching on the hot water and even the room Ac from mains.

Centrally located hotel. Rooms are clean generally. Construction on road in front makes access unpleasant and inconvenient. Lot of convenience shops etc nearby. Most of the rooms don’t have any views to speak of.

If there was negative stars I could have given it to the hotel. Their rooms are really bad in terms of quality. Washroom stinks as the reason was a gutter going behind it. After the complaint they didn’t even cleaned it but just sprayed some room freshner inside. They don’t even understand the meaning of residential suite. It’s a third class hotel with zero to cleaningness and hygiene. Don’t stay in here.

Pros :- Hotel The Residency, an almost 30 year old property, is located at the heart of Srinagar, within less than 1 km walk of Lal Chowk and within 2 km of Dal Gate and next to Ahdoos restaurant, which happens to be the best in Kashmiri wazwan in Srinagar. Hotel rooms are ardently spacious. Service by security guards, hotel staff is extremely good. Particularly a very young staff working at the hotel as a security guard - Fehroz is so well behaved, courteous and polite. View from hotel is beautiful; either of Residency road or Jhelum river laced by a small park and a mosque. Interiors are very nice - clean and glossy, reminds of a bygone era. Food is good, room service is excellent and cost effective. Cons :- The hotel does not have an open space to sit and relax - balcony within rooms or open air restaurant, making it a bit claustrophobic, moreso, as it is housed in a mall. The bathroom is not well designed and was a bit smelly for not being well ventilated and hence inconvenient to use. No parking space in front of hotel as it is just on main road. Verdict - This hotel, due to its close proximity to main market, tourist interests, top restaurants is a go to place if you're planning to just sleep at the hotel and remain outside for the rest of the day.

Room was specious and clean. Hotel staff was very good and polite. Bathroom is good but it should be maintain as it's a 4 star property. Rest breakfast and dinner was so delicious and had variety of food. Location wise it's awesome. over all a wonderful experience, highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Srinagar

Okay so let me start from here - The hotel is good. The room is clean but unnecessarily expensive! We paid almost 26,000 INR for 5 rooms/day but that without any dinner ! I could easily get any 4 star hotel in Srinagar with 5000/ room with proper dinner and breakfast . Room service is also very slow and we have to wait 1/2 hour to 1 hour even to get a tea in room . In one of the room c hearing system stop working and they were not able to fix .. it was cold day of Dec and the whole idea of having central heating hotel is to have heat all the time … anyway breakfast was kind of okay … location is okay ( they don’t have their own parking and your driver can’t park on the main road ) . They have a common lift to reach their hotel and unnecessary add 10-15 more minutes as lift is very very slow .

Amazing place to stay. Very close to the railway station, walking distance. It's on the main road so access to auto, cabs is also there. Rooms are spacious and clean with decent bathrooms. The ambience of the room and the restaurant is great. Breakfast spread is good and tasty.

We stayed in hotel for 4 nights in your organised by Veena world. Hotel situated at Central of srinagar in market place and along with Mall. Hotel rooms are big but renovation required. Food is tasty but menu needs to improve. Restaurant Staff is polite.. no gym, no health facilities. Nearby tourist place clock tower(lal chowk), Market, Dal lake, Garden/park, hajratbal masjid, house boat place, Temple of shankaracharya etc. After 8 PM, place almost closed.

Good place to stay in heart of Srinagar for family. Spacious rooms, good heating arrangements, courteous staff and great buffet arrangements. The food and beverages guys were very helpful. My stay with family was quite pleasant..

We had a good stay here. The staff is very helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious as well. The food taste can be improved as it was good on somedays and average on others. But the rest of the stay was amazing.

Stayed here from 28/04/23 to 30/04/23. Located at Srinagar city centre. Conveniently placed with city markets at walking distance. ATMs nearby. Adhoos and Mughal Darbar very closeby. Reception in 3rd floor. Rooms clean, spacious, have heating systems, geyser for hot water 24hrs. Free wifi with good speed. And a large sony led tv. Room service decent. Best part is the large window with a great view of the valley and mountains. Really gives a sense of awe. Dining hall on the 5th floor is the best part the hotel. Walls and roofing lined with wooden fixtures/made of wood. With marvellous chandeliers and lighting. Gives a Royal feeling while having a meal. All meals were really tasty and delicious. Desserts wonderful. Staff polite and helpful. Very nice hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Don’t prefer this hotel at all. I would not expect people taking out your expensive belongings when you were out. Even after complaining they don’t accept their staff mistake nor taking any action. I was surprised as this is an expensive hotel and this kind of stuff happening there is just not acceptable.The hotel owner needs to take care of these acts.I really feel sad. Please check other reviews of this hotel before your booking.

Situated near the main market, for shopping etc a good place but a very busy area. Pros: 1 Market walking distance 2 food delicious 3 rooms are big and the ambience nice 4 any service related complaint immidiately taken care Cons: 1 busy place no view 2 hot water not available for 24hr, it seems due to regular power cut in Kashmir. 3 before assigning room everything should bw properly verified.

It is not even a 3 star hotel according to price. The service is very poor and hospitality is very bad. Wrong number on ragistration given, breakfast is also late when it was given at 7:30 it served at 8. Panner is very bad. No dental kit was provided by default only on demand and it is also not informed. No slipper given. No brush stand provided. Very bad. When we reached to hotel by using Google map (as number was wrong given) there more concentration is on paper work rather than giving us comfort.nj welcome drink.

Very big, cozy rooms. Service is good. Food menu was pricey, even quantity served for the price is less. But the hotel is situated around good restaurants nearby, one can get food from there. Also situated near a market. Buffet breakfast served good options with North, south and English breakfast. Loved our stay here.

Service is good, the Food is good, and the room service is excellent. Very near to Dal Lake. You can find a local market near the hotel. Service by hotel staff is extremely good. They are polite and helpful. You can consider this hotel for stay with family.

Stayed in Srinagar for 1 day there, nice hospitality, big rooms but parking is under construction so faced a bit difficulty. The hotel is in city area, so you won't find natural views from your room window. We're served with delicious local food.

Do not ever ever visit this hotel. This is NOT a 4 star hote its a zero star hotel. We had our stay for 3 nights and it were the worst nights of my life. The AC doesn’t work since 2017 amd they have still not repaired it. The room freshne spray does not work as the batteries are not available. When you leave ur room and take the keys with u they still use your room toilet in your absence. The room toilet stinks like a public toilet. No TV channels just tv and set top box is given for show. Best part is they use your room and toilet in your absence. After using toilet of ur room they will leave it as it is. Attaching the pics. Me and my mom were staying the room and its horrible. No hot water also.

Except location - it's very close to Ahdoos, Mughal darbaar, ghanta ghar, Jee Enn bakery(must try-walnut cake), the residency hotel is quite old hotel so room bathroom etc not so clean and staffs are also lethargic.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Good location.. clean rooms. But staff are very unprofessional resulting very poor service. Quality & variety of food at restaurant are substandard. Overall below average experience.
