The location was very good,food was awesome , I visited there with my friends and classmates for our farewell party. I am very satisfied with the services and arrangements provided by them.... It's a great place to do parties and enjoy with families and friends.Enjoyed the location, pool and food.....bt there was also an issue that the music system they provide us was inferior and because of that issue we have to brought our own music system..but definitely recommended to others...

Shahenshah Palace Hotel is situated on the Boulevard Road and just the other side of the Dal Lake. It can be a good choice for travellers visiting Srinagar to stay here as you can enjoy the view of the Dal Lake whenever you like to. You can get auto rickshaw and Toto to go to the market and other places too. The room they provided us on the 1st floor and the room was large and specious with a clean washroom. There have a good staircase and lift to go to the room. There are more than one large, traditionally decorated dining halls. There are restaurant too. But we went there with a group, so we have not tasted the food served by them. Overall our experience of staying here was good in this ethnic and traditionally decorated hotel.

Shahenshah Palace Hotel, situated by Dal lake, can be a good choice for travellers visiting Srinagar. Stay is clean, beautiful and affordable. One can try traditional kashmiri cuisine here in the restaurant. The customer service is a challenge although for this ethnic and traditionally decorated hotel but overall it's a good stay.

The hotel is a scam. We had booked standard lake view rooms via MMT, but in reality they gave small cottage rooms in hotel backyards. They were also denying check in initially although we had booked this hotel 2 months prior. The receptionist Mr Shahzad is ill mannered too and did not bother to listen to our issues. Never fall in trap of booking this hotel only by its location.

Room service is not performing its responsibilities properly, additionally, the television in the room is also not working

Room is not clean.smelly washroom. Breakfast not recommended as they have no any choice n poor test. Don't west your money by looking there location n photos.

The hotel is not as per the expectations. Location wise fine but service level is zero. Please don’t go by name of the hotel. As per my experience, its not worth at all. Rooms are small and very less light in the room. There are no games for kids to play. Food quality is not good and very expensive as well. There are lot of outlets outside hotel so I would recommend to eat there.

Pros - The place is beautiful just beside the dal lake. We got it at a much cheaper rate. Cons - The service is very poor. You even have to fill your own drinking water bottles from a faraway filters.

shhansha palace is really nice place to stay when u visit shrinagar, amazing location and so much spacious well maintained garden and beautiful atmosphere.we enjoyed our stay at this hotel with Aman tours best experience ever

Very horrible experience. They didn't serve drinking water in room, Hot water facility available in room only between 7 am to 10 am in winter. Telephone didn't work in room.

Location and hotel is very good but the behaviour of hotel staff specially the person on reception was very very rude he argued with us in a very angry way that we cancelled our booking and go to other hotel he was so arrogant specially in terms of caste that we are not calling you came to our hotel we didn't send you any invitation so it's a request don't go that hotel shameful behaviour

Location and hotel is very good but the behaviour of the staff specifically at reception is very very rude. He misbehaved and argued and even shouted by saying that now he will not be giving any rooms .. such bad behaviour in the hotel industry is shameful. I would not recommend anyone to come in this hotel.

Hotel is good, but service is extremely slow. We booked family room. It was good and big but they provide extra bed on floor ( a Mattress) On exactly single bed or something like. Overall by location it's good. Even nobody came to take our luggage to room.

Though it has a good and accessible location, and wasn't expensive. They provided heating options. The Rooms and bathroom weren't clean.

This hotel rooms are very dirty and smelly... Prices are quite high, for non AC room the price is 2500 per day and for AC room the price is 4500... Rooms are not clean and the phone receivers are out of order. I would suggest not to touch the receivers otherwise you will get infected.. Windows have got deteriorated due to termite..if you want to fire your hard earned money, you can stay here.. I will upload pics shortly.

Very unfortunate that such a lovely property doesn't have a central heating system. Every second item in hotel is covered with dirt n dust. Seems owner is not interested in running the business seriously despite of it's amazing location.

Great location, just opposite the Dal lake. Despite a lot of sprucing up, interiors need a lot to be done. Breakfast was hopeless. Waiters need to be trained. Parking space available.

Rooms are good but service is very poor. Complementary breakfast has very limited choice. I saw a customer quarrelling for omlette in place of boiled egg but was refused without extra payment. Absolute non sense.

Good experience.. Walking distance to dal lake. Wifi is available.complimemtary best..but service of restaurant is low. Tops is the name of restaurant inside.. Which is costly.. U will get one cup milk @100₹

Great property, pathetic management and poor service. AC not working, fans not working, tv not working. Not cleaned properly, even a coffee takes and hour to come. Reception guys trying to charge extra for the food items and when asked bill, they reduced to the original price.

Booking this hotel is a nightmare. Service is extremely poor. The people in front desk is rude and they will provide small damp rooms in the backside even if you book lake view rooms well in advance. Does not have wifi and this hotel cheated us by giving small cottage rooms where as we had booked lake facing rooms from MMT.

One of the most worst experience ever, the water withinside the swimming pool was not filtered well along with that no care of hygiene took place.I could clearly see the dead flies and mostiquitoes inside the pool.Although the staff was very good but the Owner itself didn't had the manners to talk with the customers.
