I was blown away by the design and setup of this houseboat the minute when I walked in. It’s so spacious, fully covered with carpet and all sorts of Kashmir rug. The light is warm, making it super comfy to stay. I also like the tatami at the end of the boat, it’s an open area perfect for chatting, view is nice too-can see the mountain and enjoy the breeze around the lake. Accommodation comes with an 1h complimentary Shikara ride, which turns out to be such a beautiful experience as well! Aug is the right season to see lotus flowers, a lot of birds are living in this wet land too. The owner is a very kind young man, 4th generation of the business. We can see that the houseboat is very well maintained and his hospitality also makes the stay extremely pleasant. Highly recommend if you come to Srinagar.

We went to kashmir for our anniversary and decided to stay here as the houseboats were heritage with beautiful decor. They treated us like a family and made us feel like a home! They also surprised us with a beautiful decor for our anniversary and that touched our heart. Our driver Umer was the sweetest person to travel with, highly recommend him as a driver and the place! If you want comfortable and home like feel then do book this place!

This was our second time in Akbar Group Of Heritage Houseboats. The first time we came was in 2018, we loved the hospitality and service so we had to come back. Kashmir is a beautiful place. Staying in the houseboat is a beautiful experience especially in the Nigeen lake, it's so peaceful and the view is lovely. The owner Mr. Adnan is a good person and he provides a comfortable stay for everyone in the houseboats. It's 10/10 recommended. And our driver was Mr. Umar, he took us everywhere and showed us all the different places. They're very friendly and helpful.

The first time I entered the house boat I was mesmerised, almost speechless, everything here is so pretty, their interior design is very aesthetically pleasing. I was even more surprised when I heard the boat is almost 90 years old, and still everything is so much in shape. Their design is spectacular. And the owner Adnan and his staff are so kind and helpful, their hospitality and everything. They think of us as family and treat us like that. Loved the experience, never expected such beauty and kindness, truly heaven on earth.

I had been to Akbar Group Of Heritage House with my family and our experience will always be memorable in out hearts forever. The minute my mother stepped inside the houseboat, she was mesmerized and I could realize that she wanted to extend her stay. Unfortunately the property was already booked and so we couldn't extend our stay. Adnan who owns the heritage properties is a very down to earth person and connects with your soul. I hope that we could revisit here with our extended stay plan in future... Highly recommend..

The experience here is a lifetime memory! The houseboat feels like home. It has all comforts like heaters, delicious food, wonderful antic designs, beautiful bedrooms and clean bathrooms. Adnan and his management has been very kind and welcoming. Should definitely visit this place in Kashmir. Highly recommended.

Great place to holiday. Out of this world scenery. The people are here is so good and very friendly, Also always their first priority is their customer. Excellent weather and Boat house, We had good experience here in the Boat house Nigeen lake Srinagar, We stayed Akbar group of Heritage., I highly recommend to stay here. Highly recommended...stayed for 7 days in Kashmir but the stay at Nigeen lake houseboat was a memorable experience and on top of that, the host Mr Adnan and his team made each n every attempt to keep the stay memorable....best memory I gathered in Kashmir was this houseboat experience. I was with my wife and he (Adnan) cared so much for each and every detail that I found pure professionalism with human touch in his work. It was awesome....if i will ever visit again....will definitely go to this houseboat Suggestions:- interior can be more decorative, and the front view of the boat can be modified for the good.

We recently had a three night stay here.Adananji did his best to make our stay comfortable.I have never met such a friendly host in my travels. The decor and furnishing of the houseboats is really exquisite.I loved reading the books and magazines too. Sitting outside in small balcony especially early morning and late evening,looking at the lake and at night watching night sky with stars is very calming. Food was simple and homemade. Only little problem was the noise,coming in the morning from surrounding houseboats. Overall,we enjoyed the hospitality.

We were welcomed by Zahoor who took us through the boat and explained us things. The property is beautiful and extremely well maintained. The dinner served was homely and good. We had a early check out at 6 am but despite that breakfast was ready for us at 5:30 am. The only part which needs to be taken care of is the heating system in winters. The bed heating goes off midnight which makes it uncomfortable when the temp outside is in minus.

Outstanding and fantastic experience with Akbar group of Heritage Houseboats! We stayed here after completing a grand 7 day Kashmir itinerary for a relaxed finish for the tour. Really it was a great experience here. This houseboat is amazing. Surrounding area of this houseboat is very beautiful. Mr. Nasir's service was good and he was so humble man. The food was so good. We all were very happy to meet Adnan. Adnan is an honest and very hard working man. It was absolutely marvelous stay with my family at there.

The staff at the houseboat was so polite and cooperative. Exquisite houseboat interior and we'll maintained true heritage of Kashmir. The food was so good felt so homely. Made my entire trip experience absolutely amazing.
