Nice hotel near dal lake. Specially their new building. We love their service. MR AAHIL who was taking care of room service is such a nice person & professional person. He never said no to anything we asked even middle of night by family. We love kashmir & people like aahil who represent it Hope to stay here soon again

Hotel Brown Palace was indeed a really good experience for my family. The hotel is very easily accessible right next to dal Lake and has a beautiful view right in front with the mountain where you can relax peacefully. The staff are very professional kind and caring and the food is just amazing. The hotel provides hot water round the clock and is very beautifully designed with wood finish giving it a rich look. The rooms are spacious and quite clean and I had a good experience at this hotel overall. Would definitely recommend this hotel and the food was especially good.

It has really spacious rooms with electric heating and electric blanket as well, it is very close to Dal lake. In the room we first got, geyser was not working, and we were immediately shifted to another room. Highly recommended.

Nice rooms with amazing staff, location is good as well as it's near to the airport and food is superb in their menu. Specifically complementary breakfast & dinner it’s made by Chef Riaz it’s very delicious. All the staff are very helpful. Room was very clean and view from windows it’s tremendous. Manager Hazim was too helpful for all way to roaming. And from restaurant service Imran and others are too fast to their service . All over experience with near dal lake it’s all are available in your hand. Hope so in summer will again roaming to there.

Rooms are big enough but the washroom's condition isn't that good.. and the service is terrible, u have to ask repeatedly for basic services.. Edit for the person who says that this review is fake: I did stay at the hotel in mid-late June but with my family and not with this name. And you should probably work on making your services better rather than accusing people on the internet!

My family stayed at Hotel Brown Palace and were very pleased with the stay. Great Location – right next to Dal lake. Lush green mountains in the backdrop. Spacious and clean rooms. Hot water available 24/7. My family enjoyed their buffet dinner the most. Delicious!! Mr. Naseer Dar, Manager of Brown Palace, was particularly helpful and ensured we had a pleasant stay. Looking forward to staying here again on our next visit.

Good hotel with big rooms . Bit old construction though. Staff is very good and friendly, 10 on 10 for them. Location is excellent just 200 meters from Dal lake. Surrounding is bit noisy.

It was a nice stay with you. Actually i have given 4 star on an average because i believe there is always a scope of betterment but with my second thought i changed review about location and bettered it to 5 due to proximity of Dal lake and more because of the view of shankaracharya temple in the lush green back drop of big mountains. It was the best place to stay in Srinagar.. Very good hospitality.. Food is simply amazing specially their different chicken gravies. Rooms are very spacious n big. View is also good. Exactly opp to Dal lake. All markets and food places are nearby too. Pls don't go on the negative reviews over here. My personal recommendation u will love this place.

Beautiful property next to Dal Lake. The whole staff, right from the GM to junior staff is so friendly and welcoming. We stayed there for 4 days and felt like home throughout our stay. Special thanks to Danish and Aahil for being so hospitable and nice. Will surely recommend to anyone traveling to Srinagar!

Apart from the beautiful property with a lovely and huge garden, they have the most courteous and helpful staff. One of our friends got fractured while playing in their beautiful garden, their staff helped him in every possible way, shifted our room to ground floor, made him feel at ease, their manager also went to the hospital with us and stayed there throughout.

Worst food.The hotel is great, clean, tidy and has a great aura being at the bank of dal lake. But the restaurant is too costly and the food quality is worse. Same menu for breakfast and dinner is also medicore. Please upgrade your mess, it's doesn't go with the reputation of the hotel.

We booked brown palace from Agoda. When reached realised all photos posted on Agoda are of some other property. The rooms were dingy, washroom was leaking and had a hole from the room above ( as these are wooden houses). The only saving grace is owner was very polite and food was homely(though expensive for that place). On top of it Agoda fully denied any responsibility. I won't recommend this hotel to any family .

Hotel was good. Spacious rooms. Near to dal Lake. Restaurant Menu needs to be improved as same items served every day. Overall good service.

The breakfast had very less options with only 2-3 options that too with low standard food cooked in bad quality oil. The staff is unresponsive and no request is entertained here. Also, we had booked deluxe room, but this 3 star hotel doesn't have AC in these rooms.

Location is good just beside Dal lake, Good Garden, Nice view, few rooms are getting renovated. It seems to be one of the old hotels in Srinagar

Well situated, in front of Dal lake ghat number 12. The premises include a well maintained garden, large spacious rooms, and ample parking space. The staff is very polite, and their response to call is quick. This was the best place of stay during our trip to Kashmir

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. The pictures shown are not actual. Many reasons to not book this place. No heater in the rooms. Very bad service. Pathetic food. Stingy rooms And smelly bathrooms. Only one good thing - Opposite Dal lake.

late post (we stayed during Diwali.. October..for five days) The manager and the staff were really genuine and kind..our food service was taken care by Aahil Khan, who was pleasing and impressive..and the food was delicious as well.. 5stars for the Food.. but the management must keep proper check on room maintenance..we had few problems with the room(water heater not working, water leaks from bulb holder, no kettles in room, etc) Overall, we were very happy with our stay(except for the rooms)..

But very low privacy for couples its only for friends and family,Seems its a very old property but they maintained very well and the hotel manager is cool and good. ***************NO ROOM HEATERS*********** Only the week point it is everything is cool and good.
