It’s a great place to stay.It was the best experience staying here.Location is very beautiful . This place is very well maintained...Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the Owner(Sahil bro). He is extremely friendly.Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again. Thank you Sahil for being a nice host.

Perfect place for budget travellers and Sahil is very helpful guy in terms of recommending the places. He had arranged is transportation and also helped us in resolving an issue with the driver. On check-in they provided complimentary water bottle and Wi-Fi. His father does Shikkara ride at Dal lake and he is very cooperative. Though we had a short period of stay it was nice and we liked it.

WONDERFUL!! Economical stay with all basic amenities. Highlights: Sohail (host) is extremely helpful and will not think twice to help you. Cab, bike rentals, shikara rides, stay in other locations, etc. Food is home made, very delicious. Perfect for my stay, will definitely visit again.

I recently stayed at Alamdar Guest House and had an amazing experience. The hosts were incredibly friendly making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room itself was cosy and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed to feel comfortable during my stay. The homestay also provided rental bikes that I could use to explore the surrounding area. The homestay also organized a trip to explore some of the local attractions Shikara Ride in Dal lake Srinagar , charges were bargainable .The guide was able to share interesting insights about the history and culture of the area, making for a truly memorable experience Overall, I would highly recommend Alamdar Guest House to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay with great food, rental bikes, and guided trips. I had a wonderful stay here. Received a warm welcome and Sarhil he truly went above and beyond to help me. 5th July to 10th July 2023: Solo Stay after this year’s Amarnath ji Yatra: My 2nd time here after 4 days in October 2021 - This Guest house, Sahil bhai & Family are like my ‘home away from home’ in Srinagar - here i get tasty home made food, budget stay, clean rooms, garden to relax, peaceful surroundings, walking distance (1 km) from Dal Lake (Ghats), lots of eating joints nearby, safe to walk on roads till late - for those who need, Sahil bhai can even arrange taxi/auto/shikara ride/travel to nearby places & can guide them about Kashmir: 2-wheelers can be parked inside guest house & 4-wheelers parking can be arranged at a safe place. Highly recommended for Solo traveler’s (Male & Females both), couples, family.

We stayed there for 5 days . We opted for a budget stay and it was upto our expectations. Sahil bhai was very supportive. He arranged us transportation whenever we required and politely supported us in whatever situations we asked for . Location is near to dal lake gate and many food courts are nearby . Its an amazing accommodation and hospitality for the budgetary stay .

This is my 3rd time at Alamdar but this was my first time for a longer duration and as a proper tourist(My previous visits were for treks). It was a 4 day honeymoon trip for us to Kashmir. Mr. Sahil and family has made our trip a memorable one. His rooms are budget friendly yet clean. He has helped us in preparing our itinerary and to utilize the days very effectively. Apart from rooms, he had arranged us the vehicle for sight seeing in an affordable rate. The driver he had arranged for us was friendly as well that guy was a good guide too. Also, Sahil has guided us about the places to visit, activities to do, food spots to explore etc etc. We had experienced authentic Kashmiri cuisine prepared by Sahil's family at an affordable rate. We stayed for 3 days... All the important facilities were available. Owner Mr. Sahil bhai is very humble person, guide me properly about the tourist place & attractions in kashmir. Location was very calm.. not crowded & noisy... Dal lake was just few minutes away. Would stay again on my next visit.

The rooms are good. Hospitality of Mr. Sahil and his family is extremely good. He always gives the best suggestion to the guests. He arranged nearly everything for our Kashmir trip within budget. 24x7 fast wifi is also available. I will definitely stay here next time.

A lot of people have written about the guest house and Sahil the owner. So if I write I will only be repeating the same. We had to extend our stay and we were happily accomodated. You would understand what Kashmiri hospitality is if you stay here. Loving people... Sahil and his family take care of their guests just like a part of their family. Stayed with a group of 10 ppl twice. They helped us with almost everything in Srinagar - Shikara, Cabs, Sight seeing - all at prices you would never think of bargaining - they make sure their guests aren't deceived.

The stay was affordable and the facilities were also good for the price. Shahil (owner) bro was very friendly and the reception was really great. He recommended us a lot of good tourist attractions nearby. His father is a shikara driver and so, you can choose a shikara ride with him in Dal Lake if you want to. Otherwise, there is a great chance in getting scammed by other shikara riders in Dal Lake (our experience)
