Located just on the bank of Dal Lake of Srinagar. Accessible from all parts of the country. Food quality is good but needs improvement in service. Rooms are spacious and moderately maintained. An excellent view of Srinagar is available from the rooms on one side. Transport is available easily for sightseeing in Kashmir.

The location of the hotel is great as the view of dal lake during the night is beautiful. The staff was also very friendly. But housekeeping can be improved. Overall comfortable stay at the hotel.

The front desk staff was very unprofessional and un welcoming and did not want to hear the feedback. Rooms are very old and elevators are not functioning all the time. They only accept cash and no cards or digital payments though initially during check-in they had agreed to accept the card. There was loud noise at midnight and staff did not tell the folks anything instead convincing us they are college folks and nothing can be done.

Worst experience with rude front office staff and unclean bed sheets and pillow covers! Location ok, but always traffic congestion to reach. Except one person, mostly rude and Food poisoning is the return gift u will carry if u include food while booking. Felt cheated!

In front of Dal lake. Neat and clean rooms, service is also very good, life and all kind of facilities are available. You can get meal also if you don't want to go outside. Overall experience was wonderful.

Had three night stay at the property... On the first day we stayed at room in the first floor...which was ok but had no elevator access... On the next two days the manager forced us to shift to the rooms in fourth floor... The rooms given were shabby and not clean at all...mattress and linen were dirty...washrooms were filthy...poorly managed property... Don't recommend this hotel at all if you are coming during peak season... Totally Disgusting!!!! Not worth its name! NOT RECOMMENDED

Date of Stay - 8th June 2023. Pros- Good Restaurant Only Cons- 1. Worst front management who were not ready to take feedback. Instead they shout back at customers. 2. They don't turn on generator when electricity is gone. (You can have a night without electricity in the room) 3. Elevator is very very risky to use. 4. Washrooms need maintenance.

Stay: 13/9/23 to 17/9/23 This is a very nice property with the worst management. Geyser is not working, rooms are dirty, for 2 rooms I pay 8k per day but I don't think this property deserves that much amount. Don't come with your family they can't provide any facilities.

It was a fantastic experience. The hotel was very good, although I was expecting better room service. We booked 4 rooms for 4K per night and stayed seven nights there. Gysers were working 24×7 and there was the facility of electric blanket as well which is a must as I visited in late December 2023. At Srinagar near dal lake best hotel. From hotel room you can see view of dal lake. Good parking system. Lift available so no problem for seniors citizens. Good arrangement for seeing nearest places.near Local sports .Good location. Good food and behaviors of stuff.

Javed ji is a great friend of mine..He keeps my booking everytime with absolute no advance. The location is very good. But the property is very old.. Too much upgradation and modifications are already made by the owners but it requires a lot more..

Old hotel property needs to revamp itself , the amount they are charging and the food (breakfast) they are providing is not up scale , leaking taps, and many small issues need to be handled . Hotel has good parking space , staff is good . Evening dinner was ok .

Room heating facility not up to mark. Only electric blanket given in heavy cold weather an₹ no room heaters. Charged 2k only for room no breakfast, no water bottles, no heating. Worst stay. Don't visit here in dec-feb.

If you are looking for a dirty place then this is the one. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Washrooms are dirty. Heating is not available. Staffs are rude. They will just ask you to checkout if you complain about rooms to them. Totally disgusting. Not worth it.

The hotel staff was very cooperative and well-mannered. Strongly believing on Honesty is the best policy. By mistake, I paid an extra amount and they return me my entire extra money without any question. Special thanks to the chef and Mr. Javed hotel manager.

We changed rooms 3 times in 12 hrs and finally changed hotel. Tasteless interior design. Shaky noisy bed Very bad mattress Dirty bedsheets. No air con Bathroom and toilet were worst There was garbage lying all around in the passage way. Breakfast buffet was on terrace which is hotel dumping place. The food included only one dish which we decided to skip. It was pathetic horrible experience. I am unable to give zero star

This Hotel comes with great views, location, food and service... Hotel staff is very accomodative they have quick response for every request. Rooms are spacious with bed, fans, side table, side lamp, working desk,chairs, cofee table, & TV. Best Part is Balcony with amazing views. It's noisy in day time but after 9 pm in summer time it's very peaceful. Excellent food , easy connectivity local veg restaurant are all close by like Jain restaurant, south indian restaurant, Delhi rasaoi... Overall very happy 😊

Prices are way higher -rooms are okay -bed sheets and pillows were clean -bathrooms were worst unhygienic, didn't bathed for two days there cuz bathrooms are so unhygienic. Toilet seats were unhygienic too , no water flusher were working in one room -view is good if u at 4th floor ,u can enjoy dal lake. -service is poor take alot time - we stayed two days , and no body came for cleaning -lif is working but have some issues with it too , lift doesn't work till 11am i guess .

The property and rooms are okay at best. - Lots of noise from outside and other rooms because the rooms don't have proper noise cancellation. - The staff is rude and do not care about you, the only thing they want is money. Original room rent was listed at 3500/-. The room won't even be worth 1500/- -- just one big scam to loot money. - hotel boosts of having Jiofiber wifi. The wifi only worked sometimes in the corridors of the hotel and NOT in the rooms. When asked about this, they say that it works. When the technician came to check, he also admitted that they have not configured the wifi properly. We had to use our own wifi the entire time. - Breakfast is charged at 200/- a plate for buffet, but horrible quality food/tea with the waiters literally complainting if they run out of food. The breakfast timing was from 7:30 - 10:30 but they don't start breakfast service till 8 and run out of food by 10, after which you will have to pester the waiters to refill missing items. All in all, I would highly recommend that you find another place to stay as this place is just pathetic.

This is very underrated hotel in srinagar, Kashmir. Seems they are not requesting or forcing the travellers to give 5 star rating like other hotels are doing in Kashmir and getting only good ratings. Their lake view delux rooms are superb. You will get very beautiful dal lake view from the balcony. I am not sure of the other types of rooms as two times I booked lake view delux room only. 1st i visited Kashmir with my wife. I loved this hotel. Then again next time when my parents visited again I booked this hotel for them. They are also very happy to stay here. Those who are planning to visit Kashmir and love to stay near dal lake then this hotel is one of the good option there. Don't go with rating, take lake view delux room, you will love it for sure.

I visited Srinagar 2 months back with my family and stayed at a very classy hotel located at Dal Lake Hotel Shah Abbas. I was allotted room no.104 & 105. The room was very spacious. The view from room was the very beautiful dal lake and garden view. The food was very good at Cafe Ertugrul which is inhouse resturant. I ordered Chicken tandoori and other nonveg delicacies which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The hotel staff was polite and helpful. I would recommend Hotel Shah Abbas to everyone if you are visiting Srinagar Kashmir.

Loved our stay in this place in December 2021. Happy to see such helpful staff. They were so co-operative! The lake is just on the other side of the road so you literally have rooms with a view! Also the rooms were beautiful. Felt like we stayed in a palace.. Rightly, Palace in the name!Washrooms were neat and clean as well. Had properly functioning centralized heating systems as well. Food was awesome as well. Double thumbs up!

bed experience, the ugly drinking water was supplied by the hotel, we 4 friends was stay and got suffered loose motions, when we complaint it to manager, who replied ruidly denied of that, room service is very poor, overall no one cac stay comfortably here.

Hotel Shah Abbab(Srinagar) is not a clean hotel.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 The bathroom's water's colour was yellow with a bad smell. The bathroom was in a very bad condition it was not properly cleaned. The mirror was very very dirty. Even I was not able to see my face in the mirror. When I ordered tea they give me very late service. The balcony was full of pegion's feathers. Really it was very bad hotel.

This place is right on the Boulevard road in front of Dal Lake. Renovation has given it a better ambience however it needs to do better. Staff is very cordial and upto job. Ample parking adds to the collective worth.

It is very good hotel facing the dal lake . It is located opposite of Ghat Number 10 . It has excellent view of the Dal Lake from the room . The rooms are great with all facilities. Room service is good too . Overall great place to stay .

Room was worse , dirty damp, water in bathroom like sewage smell was bad, balcony very dirty, all night birds noise in balcony ceiling. Bed was small. Tabs was not working well in bathroom mirrors dirty, only restaurant was clean.
