First time here and we loved it. The baking is not only beautiful to look at, it is delicious, we tried the fresh donuts and they were so good. Nice variety of coffees and sandwiches too. Fresh pasta and sauce for sale, fresh baked bread and their meat counter was lined up. Nice variety of fresh vegetables and they also have kitchen accessories, nice touch! Very highly recommended and we will be going back. Service was friendly and fast, we were so impressed! 🥖🍝🍰🍩☕️

I absolutely LOVE coming in on Monday nights to get a cappuccino! Usually the same rotation of staff are work those nights. The young Barista, Jenna in the cafe is GREAT at making coffees!! and the young brunette man in the bakery was pleasant to interact with. Other days of the week are alright, but if you're thinking of stopping by for a latte and a snack, Monday nights are where it's at!! The owners should be incredibly proud of their staff, these guys are awesome! Giving 5 Stars for the service that never fails to be any short of helpful and pleasant. Thank you Mercato!

Beautiful store, very nice bakery but when eating them... sugar is never dissolved in the buttery cream. They should mix them until sugar is dissolved. They look better than they taste 🙄.... a little vanilla sauce could moisten cake pastries....before adding the cream. I really love this store and I hope they can improve!

Ready to eat food is less than mediocre. Location and ambiance is nice. Also, a decent choice of European food. I assume majority of good reviews here come from people who would eat a piece of cardboard soaked in sugar syrup and exclaim "Wow! Amazing! Best food I ever had!".

All of the tables inside were dirty. I saw coffee cups with cafe rings. This was not a situation were a bunch of people just left. The staff just were not clearing tables. No manager was on site. The young teenager boy was harrassing the cashier. It was like fast times at Ridgemont high. I was stunned at the experience.

This location is like a mini Italian Centre! Has a nicely stocked deli counter in the back, the various dry goods, as well as fresh produce. Not to mention a VERY large bakery section that has an overwhelming selection of treats to choose from! They also have a section for seating as well if you decide your pastries won't make it to the car. Also don't forget to grab one of the Hot or Mild Panini sandwiches in the fridges beside the cash registers! They are literally to die for!

May 29, 2021. Love coming here. Love the atmosphere and all of the great products from Italy and Europe. I am a return customer and have never been disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. Viva Italia. Mini Italian Centre Shop with a bakery/coffee shop. I have been going to the Italian Centre Shop on 95 Street in Edmonton for years and this is a scaled down version. It is somewhat pricey but there is quality in the products they sell. I don’t Shop there all the time but when I do I always enjoy what I buy. The variety of olives and deli meats and cheese is awesome. It well lit and clean and the staff is friendly and courteous.

This feels like a smaller Italian grocery store. The bakery is very popular. I belive the fresh home made pasta is the highlight of this store. I have it all that the location is very convenient.

Pretty small place, compared to an Italian Center shop. Their cafe seems nice, I ordered the cold brew coffee and it is very bitter. I had to add cream and sugar (but I have a bad sweet tooth). The fellow at the cafe bar was really nice and helpful. Cheers to him. The other staff were less than friendly, they all glared at me. I had to check in the mirror to see if I had something on my face or something. Not sure I'd go back since it is quite out of the way for me.

Fast service and good 'cinnamon' bun, except no cinnamon... Tasted great and large, but don't expect a true cinnamon bun. They can't warm it up either. Good coffee. We didn't check out the grocery store.

The cafe is always busy so I was happy there was plenty of seating on a Friday. I have had their vegetable foccacia more than once and never been disappointed. I put pepper on my sandwich as I find it a bit bland without. My friend had the pizza pretzel, I think it's a new offering.

Pre ordered a birthday cake in here, Had a feeling to open the box before we left but did not. I should have stuck with the gut feeling. Do not bother pre ordering, just get the better looking ones in the display window, u can wind up with a sloppy looking cake that's got Way to much extra icing. The recipient requested this cake because it had been so good the 1st time. There is not that much difference between a circle and square cake, why did it wind up being mostly icing ??

Plenty of parking with lots of other shops to visit. They have lots to choose from whether you're looking for Italian grocery items or stopping in for coffee and dessert. If you stop in for coffee and a snack, there is much tempting baking to choose from and beverages. I changed my mind a few times trying to decide what to order. The donuts are the best I've ever had in my opinion and my mocha was delicious to. We walked through the grocery isles after and prices are reasonable, all desserts are like gourmet. I will definitely stop in again (its got me considering moving to St Albert!).

Awesome Italian cream cake! Came in day of party massively underprepared - so thankful they had a cake, ready-made and were pleased to add writing as well! Guest of honour and everyone very pleased. Also happy with the many gluten-free dry goods they have available for competitive prices!

My husband went there to get my birthday cake this weekend. We asked for the Nutella cake. It was definitely not Nutella and I was more icing then cake. The icing was poor quality and the cake was definitely cheap. I expect higher quality cakes from there not what I could get ar walmart. We also bought cannolis and there were flavorless and the shell was stale. We also bought some tortellini and Alfredo sauce. Again no flavor and nothing special. We will not be going back.

Our favourite bakery - great selection in the deli, fresh pasta, and the bakery is amazing (we always grab a panini and the cup of tiramisu - clearly enjoying our meal too much to take a photo first).

I live in Toronto and my cousin lives in St Albert. Today was his birthday so I decided to call a few local bakeries for a pastry tray. I spoke to Sue, and she was amazing. It was short notice on a Sunday afternoon however she was able to put together a pastry platter quickly knowing how important it was to me. Amazing service (virtually on the phone), very patient with my requests. I arranged for pickup from a family member who brought it home just in time for the birthday dinner. The pastries look and taste amazing. Great variety (I was sent pictures and compliments on the quality from my cousin and family in St Albert). Thank you again Sue!!!

The staff were helpful and friendly. I ordered a cake for a birthday and it was very easy to get. The cake was bigger than I expected. Everyone was happy with it. Their dessert counter has so much to choose from. I really wanted to try everything.

First time checking out this location and all I could say is WOW. Loads of desserts, fresh pasta, veggies / fruits and the deli was AMAZING. Can’t wait to go back with the hubby 👍🏻👍🏻

A great store for St.Albert. The bakery is awesome and the deli is well stocked with all of the things you would expect. I noticed that the price of bananas is cheaper here than at Wal-Mart! Overall the store is clean and very well organized with prices that are what you would expect at a specialty store.

I love it here!! Bakery is like no other I have ever seen in Edmonton! Real good selection of imported products. Very small aisles and not recommended when it is busy. Ordered 2 pieces of cake from the bakery case and unfortunately, the "young" fellow behind the counter packed both pieces of cake into a small box!! Needless to say, it was a mess when I got them home and opened the box up!! Please use individual packaging for these items...

Great Italian grocery store, fabulous deli with tons of choices and excellent meat and cheese selections. Cracker selection was also delicious. Had a great chacuterie evening Looking forward to trying out the sumptuous baked goods.

Perfect community marketplace! Highly recommend dropping in for a coffee and pastry for breakfast. The Gelato is a perfect afternoon treat as well. We also enjoy the great selection of deli, bakery and other grocery options.

Nice bakery and store with delicious treats and good coffee. The only downside is it only opens at 9 am in the morning which is weird considering many people like to go there for breakfast. I would recommend opening at 8 am.

Love the selection they get! Only place in the city where I have been able to find Kinder Brioss for a decent price close to me! I also love the deli section and the pasta for home!! I drop by every now and then just to see if I missed trying something!

This is an amazing Italian store to shop at, the variety of food is mind blowing! I should have planned to shop there a little earlier as the wait for the check-out was long, on the flip side you get to check out all the amazing items in the bakery and deli when you do. I highly recommend this shop!

I enjoy visiting this store for their variety of fresh produce and reasonable prices, especially during peak seasons; and their bakery and deli are, in my opinion, among the best in our area and one of my favorites! I gave this store only four stars for two reasons - it's too small and often crowded, and I sometimes find stock to be an issue, but this won't stop me from visiting again! Be sure to grab yourself a treat and latte... yummy!

Mercato I'd the most delicious place to get all your favorites. They have a wonderful bakery, specialty grocery items including cheese, deli, and in season fresh veggies. This place is a must see if you haven't in st Albert.
