The elevator ride goes rather quickly, in case you are claustrophobic. At the bottom, the walk is winding, and you cannot see the end of the tunnel when you exit the elevator. It is prolly a 10-minute walk on a flat, even concrete floor. In the end, it was amazing. Wear a rain jacket. Everything was clean, well maintained, and presented very professionally. There was lots of information about the area and the power station. And of course there is a gift shop. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is $35 CAD. The Wonder Pass Plus was perect, especially since we were staying at the Embassy Suites.

The tunnel is a nice short exciting tour. Tickets cost about $20 per person and you get to explore the top floor to learn more about the generators before travelling down about 2000 fits or so via elevator to the tunnel. Lovely view and they provided ponchos as well

The tour of the old Niagara Power Station was amazing. Ever since my parents took me the falls some 55 years ago I wanted to go into this building. Our tour guide was amazing having worked as a Millwright in the building since 1976 and was part if the decomitioning team in 2005. The 180 feet elevator down the old water turbine shift was also amazing and the walk in the tunnel was incredible. The walk out onto the pad provided a breath taking view of the Niagara River and falls. Truly worth the entrance fee.

Very interesting power plant site! Very beautiful views once you reach the end of the tunnel… it takes about 30+ minutes to walk once you exit the elevator… a chilly experience so I would recommend a sweater! Once you reach the opening to the falls, it’s quite warm in the summer… lots of water will sprinkle onto you however, nonetheless very fun experience… it was restored very beautifully as well.. inside and out…. The machines were fascinating to look at, and the staff were informative as well… great way to spend the day😊! I recommend getting here early so there’s no wait time and not a lot of people… also buy your tickets online, it’s cheaper! 😊

This place is definitely to be on the 'must visit list' in Niagara, Ontario. Be prepared to walk (1 to 1.5kms) into a 100+ yrs old engineering marvel and right under the horseshoe falls. To the end, you will witness the most amazing view this place has to offer. It's worth the walk.

take a stroll through Niagara Falls' Tunnel! This unique educational experience is perfect for those seeking an intelligent adventure with incredible sights. Even if you're not quite as fit as a fiddle, no need to worry - it's only 10 minutes of flat-walking dotted by plenty of rest-stops along the way. Just remember: dress appropriately; don't forget your poncho! Although every droplet will be worth literally witnessing this natural wonder firsthand – seeing really can be believing at Niagara Falls’ Tunnel. In the words of my fifteen-year-old daughter this is a 10 out of 10

I'm not sure why Google lists this as a separate attraction - the only way to see the tunnel is through the power station tour, and it's easily the best part. You get a view under the power station, and how it all worked, on the elevator on the way down, with a good explanation by your elevator operator. Then it's a long walk down the cool tunnel. Points along the way tell you what's above you and the view at the end is really amazing. They provide ponchos for standing out on the platform - you could go without, but it is pretty wet. You're right down there with the boats. You can recycle your poncho near the start of the tunnel, or keep it for later. It is a bit of a walk, slightly downhill on the way out, slightly uphill on the way back, but not too taxing. Just long.

The Power Station experience was a great insight into how the hydro power station was built and generated electricity with simple explanations and an interactive gamified arena for kids and adults. The tunnel was quite long with one the best views of the falls at the end.

Whenever around Niagara Falls, go to The Tunnel, it was an awesome experience and got to get a little closer to Niagara falls. A bit challenging for claustrophobics but at the end of the tunnel it’s all worth the walk. Nice interesting history about the construction inside the museum and also inside the tunnel along the way to the end. We enjoyed this experience and make sure to take lots of photos of this beautiful place.

Wow, and Just Wow! If you're in Niagara Falls, visit the Tunnel. It is a place where you'd see the history of hydro power generation. Rain ponchos are provided just before the opening to the falls, which is the end of the tunnel. It was awesome to be at the water level of the fall right at the bottom of the Horseshoe Falls, an experience you want to check off your list.

An interesting visit and highly recommended The 2200 feet walk to the end of the well lit tunnel was worth it once we came to the beautiful view at the end! The sun was shining and there was this beautiful rainbow The water seeps along the walls at places and the roof has been repaired! Informative boards and benches keep appearing at regular intervals!

This was worth the long walk through the tunnel. The tunnel does get cool which is refreshing on a hot day, but if you’re someone who doesn’t like the cold/chill bring something to keep you warm for the walk.

The place is really nicely renovated, but the signage needs to improve. It seems like the descriptions were written for engineers only. It was hard to follow, and the descriptions were not very family friendly because they were hard to understand. It’s a pity because the place is so cool, but it’s not explained in everyday language.

Amazing place to visit. The museum now awesome but it’s the walk through the tunnel and out to the falls that blew our mind. The history on this place is incredible. Wish we could have gotten to see the evening light show.

This tunnel is an absolute must see! The ride down in the elevator provides a view of one of the main functions of the old power plant. Once in the tunnel, it seems like a very long walk, but it is well worth it! The tunnel ends at the most amazing view of the base of the falls. The Maid of the Mist comes right by the viewing area, you are that close to the base! Be sure to get a rain poncho because it is very misty. Just breath taking!!

Niagara Falls is typically touristy spot but the recently added attraction - The Tunnel at the Niagara parks power station is slated to change that. Science, physics and engineering buffs will love the museum at the power station dedicated to the father of electromagnetism- Nikolai Tesla. Going into the tunnel and walking though it is ab experience not to be missed. The view on the other side is the icing on the cake. Will recommend this to visitors of all ages.

I don't know why but I liked being in that tunnel so much. I liked it more than the view from the bottom of the falls which was the whole reason we were in the tunnel. I liked the tunnel a lot.

This museum is excellent. The displays are very informative and there are lots of hands-on experiences that show off the power station's technology throughout the years. The tunnel itself is very impressive and offers a unique view of the falls at the end. I would suggest taking a light jacket or sweater along as the tunnel is significantly cooler than the outside air and it's quite damp down there.

The Tunnel at the Power Station is incredible! Very educational and easy to get to! A little warm in the museum (during summer). Taking the elevator down to the tunnel was very exciting! You feel like you’re walking through history! Once you walk onto the landing, you are given a poncho and get a view from the base of the falls! It was a very fun way to see the falls and learn!

Niagara Falls' new attraction - The Tunnel (Niagara Falls Tunnel), this tunnel is built under the Niagara Falls Power Station. According to the introduction, it took 115 years to build. It has been built since the last century and will not be officially opened to the public until 2022. Digging a tunnel under the waterfall can be imagined to be very difficult to develop. 😖 [💰Tickets for the tunnel🎫The price is 27🔪 +13% Tax. If you want to do other things besides the tunnel, you can buy a package. There are three price packages of 59/79/99, and the items included are different. , you can go to the official website to purchase on demand. 】 【🧐The following is the process of visiting the tunnel🧐】 1️⃣After entering the power station, you will see a display of various machines. After visiting, let you know more about how the power station works, which should be very meaningful for parent-child education. 2️⃣Wait for the elevator to be operated by the staff and enter the 180 feet (about 55 meters) underground. 3️⃣After getting out of the elevator, start walking 2200 feet (about 670 meters) before you reach the end of the tunnel, which is the observation deck very close to the waterfall. 4️⃣Return along the road. 【😳The following are things you need to pay attention to:😳】 1️⃣It will be relatively humid after entering the tunnel. Be careful that the road is slippery when entering on foot. 2️⃣After entering the tunnel, the underground temperature will be much lower than the surface temperature. It is recommended to bring a jacket when entering the tunnel, because the temperature difference is too large, one is cold and one is hot, and it is easy to catch a cold. ⭐Finally, I think it’s interesting to see the waterfall from a different angle. After all, when walking through the tunnel, it feels like you’re on an adventure. Btw, this place is not only suitable for young people, but also suitable for all men, women and children. (I saw someone in a wheelchair♿︎ inside the tunnel, which was very cool😎)⭐

This seems expensive ($63 including taxes for 2 adults) for what it is but it was fun. There are 2 brothers who give guided tours that worked at the power station for many years that provide colorful stories and really make the experience more memorable. The tunnel walk to the fall viewpoint is easy and accessible for all levels of mobility. The ponchos are included and make a cute souvenir. Photo opportunity is great and the platform is not crowded. Recommended boots or weather-ready shoes and a good jacket.

Exploring the power plant site at Niagara Falls in October 2023 was a fascinating experience! As you navigate through the tunnel, you're met with breathtaking views at the end, making the 30+ minute walk from the elevator truly worthwhile. The chill in the air makes a sweater advisable, but once you reach the falls, the warmth contrasts with the coolness of the tunnel. In the summer, expect a playful mist from the falls, adding to the overall enjoyment. The restoration, both inside and out, is impressive. The machinery is captivating, and the informative staff enhance the experience. It's a beautifully restored gem offering a delightful way to spend the day! For a seamless visit, I recommend arriving early to avoid wait times and crowds. Purchasing tickets online proved to be a cost-effective choice. Visited on a weekday, there was no wait time, but reservations are recommended for a smoother experience.

The Niagara Parks Power Museum is a captivating experience that seamlessly combines history and technology. The museum's engaging exhibits offer a fascinating journey through the evolution of hydroelectric power. With well-presented displays, interactive elements, and knowledgeable staff, it provides a comprehensive understanding of the significance of hydroelectricity. The museum's location near the iconic Niagara Falls adds to the overall appeal, making it a must-visit destination for those intrigued by the power behind the falls. Don't miss the spectacular view of Niagara Falls at the end, accessible through the tunnel, offering a breathtaking finale to this enriching experience.

This place was great! My kid asked so many questions and the workers there were more than happy to explain, they were so sweet and if you are a history buff like me it’s great! Tunnel is a 10 min walk both ways but they put a lot of benches which is great for people who can’t do long walks, fully handicapped accessible and they have wheelchairs available if needed! Honestly it was great!
