Gong Cha

Cafe Bubble tea store

🫤 I've been drinking milk tea in past decade. We tried Gong Cha in three different flavors, all of those are not something standout. Comparing with other milk tea shop in the town, I would say they are doing better than this one. Please make it taste good first, before opening a store. People often mention drink, bubble, milk, drinks, sugar, Gong, good, sweet,

Tried the brown sugar milk foam milk tea with black tea. The drink was delicious, regular sugar level but not TOO sweet to handle. Not the best atmosphere out of all the bbt places I’ve been, but the staff were friendly and it was clean.

Beware. Most of the time there will be only one employee. I ordered around 6 and got my drink at 6:35pm. This has been an ongoing problem for weeks. The drinks are really good if you have the time. Don't go if busy if you want a quick drink. This isn't the employee fault clearly management. Reply to owner: I didn't write this review because of today's experience. It was because it's been a consistent pattern over the last month.

I really liked this place because bubble teas were wonderful and staffs were so kind! When I asked them about a menu, they gave me great explanation about it with kindness.

I have been a fan of milk tea since I first tasted it. This milk tea place is good. I tried them first in the Philippines and now here in Canada. The taste feels like I’m back travelling in the streets of Taiwan.

My experience was amazing and the atmosphere was so clean and welcoming! Originally I just needed to stop somewhere and use the restroom but we were so pleased with our bubble tea that we returned the two nights after that as well! I would highly recommend this bubble tea shop and the waffles look delicious. The individual that helped me half an hour before close on Thursday was so sweet and explained the overwhelmingly large menu with ease! This is now my go to bubble tea shop and I recommend everyone who loves bubble tea to give it a shot!

I’ve ordered at Gong Cha so many times, but my experience today made me extremely disappointed. I ordered at around 9:20pm, with one Large size Brown Sugar Milk tea adding pearls inside, 2 egg waffles and 1 Korean style hotdog. However, I don’t think I’ll come again within 3 months, the food quality was quite disappointing. I spent $29 dollars for 4 items. Beside $0.90 charges on one topping in the drink, I’m paying $5.99 for such a ridiculous hotdog which didn’t match the picture at all. The hotdog was not even bigger than two packs of ketchup! Moreover, the staff there was not familiar with their duty. Yet only 3 groups of customers were inside the store including me, the employee was about to give my items to other customers. I can understand the increased price due to the inflation, but I don’t think that’s the way how you treat your customers with high-price but low-quality items.

I love Gong Cha but this location is so inconsistent. I order the same drink every week and I get a different tasting drink each time. Sometimes my drink is super sweet, sometimes it’s mildly sweet, sometimes it’s just right. Sometimes the tapioca is so good and fresh, sometimes it’s old and hard, sometimes it’s not sweetened. You get the point. I order the EXACT same thing 1-3 times a week (yes I have a problem) so I don’t understand the inconsistency when there is supposed to be exact measurements to making the drink.

Kinda disappointed. The bubble tea was so sweet even we asked for less sugar, pearls are not fully cooked, pudding tastes like sanitizer.. and the straws break very easily.

Honestly, I think this is the best Gong Cha I have been to. The service is excellent. The owner is super nice and welcoming. Their croffle is actually pretty good. The drinks and hong Kong waffle are delicious as well. Prices are decent, not too high. Really recommend everyone should stop by and check this franchise out. Much better than Gong Cha in the US. They have different items that I never seen other Gong Cha carry.

Drinks are okay. Some drinks that other Gong cha establishments (I've been to most of them around Canada) have aren't available here. Service is okay depending on the day you go. Staff are sometimes friendly and sometimes I can feel they are annoyed. Atmosphere is okay. If you're looking for a place that sells fresh fruit drinks, save your time and go elsewhere. This place doesn't have fresh fruit drinks.

We came tonight at 8:30 and the staff were super friendly and offered suggestions for menu items. Very patient and answered any questions. The guy who helped us order and the girl who made our drinks quickly were fantastic.

Disappointed. Tried the Mango Splash, it is not what it’s advertised/presented as. The drink has no flavour at all, even with 100% sugar level its minimum. There is no Mango or milk in the “milk tea”, tastes like water with too much ice and a hint of milk. Mango syrup is spread around the inside of the container for looks only. My friends also complained there was no flavour and too much ice in all 3 drinks. Cheap quality, click of bait drinks.

The oreo strawberry tea I ordered was not worth it, they put so much ice, I literate only had 4 sips and it was over. I feel scammed. And there was no hint or flavour of Oreo the drink overall tasted like any regular tea, its like i was drinking something else competing. Would not order again. The menu was confusing and you couldn’t mix or match.

I've been visiting gong Cha for about two years now. They have a wide selection of bubble tea and very creative drinks. The staff are kind, and are experts when making speciality drinks. I've been coming more frequently this month and noticed a drop in quality, it doesn't taste that great anymore. I've also noticed that the stickers by default print out 70% sugar even though I got 100% sugar (I still got 100% sugar so it really isn't a problem). The staff here, work so hard and handle several orders simultaneously that they don't ask if you want a receipt, they expect the customer to ask one at this location. I forgot to ask for a receipt until after I finished my drink an hour later. The cashier said she didn't know how to issue a receipt, and it could only be done at time of purchase. It's a clover machine so all you have to do is go to transactions and reprint. I needed the receipt to get reimbursed but I didn't really fight for it because I did forget to ask. I was just really bummed out when I left the store. I don't think I'll be visiting this location again, but I do encourage you to try if you haven't, their selection is very good and you will find something you like. Their Croffles are very tasty!

Consistency, fast service and lots of choices is what Going Cha is all about. I have had many of their beverages and the quality in each is always that you expect from their pictures, description and price! Their monthly specials always have simple and unique sound which gives everyone a choice in what they feel ! Great rewards and member text program. Their application is awefull though. Don't use it. One of my favourite beverage makers and would pick them usually over 90% of the competition !

for starters, the service was fast, but the lady at the front seemed to be annoyed/unfriendly. she didn’t greet me when i said hello and goodbye, and when i was asking questions about the menu she was annoyed. anyways, i got a taro smoothie, a bubble waffle, and a crème brûlée croffle. the total was $18. the smoothie was ok, wouldn’t buy it again, and the desserts were amazing!!

Very yummy bubble tea! I got the royal milk tea and the barista helped me decide what sugar level to choose and 30% was the perfect level of sweetness for me. I took away a star because the tea flavour could be a little stronger. The tapioca pearls are great. It’s really cool that they have biodegradable straws that aren’t made of paper so they don’t get soggy. I’ve actually tried another gong cha location in Toronto before and the St. Catharine’s location is waaay better!
