The place was a little swampy and mushy.. but it's spring.. the endless rain doesn't help. Has a little creek in middle and a big pond around some trees.. The dogs had a blast...it's a nice place to go for a walk or have a picnic too. I just went to dog park

Amazing dog park. However it seems there are individuals with small chihuahuas in the small dog side that will blame their dogs aggression on other dogs. Any dog that is bigger then their dog is considered a threat. As someone with a Shiba inu people constantly think he is a rotweiler puppy, and don't think he belongs in the small dog area when he is actually smaller then the sizing sign full grown, and in the big dog side people say he's to small and I agree. It's hard to have peace at this dog park without some sort of altercation between dog owners. However there can be great days with positive interactions. Just be careful people aren't as friendly as the dogs.

Great trails for dogs that are not talked about enough. Plus I'd like to let the city know that the one person who maintains the grass cutting for the 110 acres, does a great job and needs a raise.

This is our favourite place to bring our dog! It's large and well maintained, with a pond puddle for dogs to cool down in. There are often 5 - 10 dogs in the large dog section, and 1 or 2 in the small section.

Best dog park. Separate areas for small and larger dogs if you want. Aprox 3/4 of an acre for the small dogs and 2 acres for the larger dogs in a well maintained fenced in area with double gated entry and fresh available water.

My dogs love it here. They have separate areas for small and big dogs. The big dogs area is huge so a los of space for them to be running and plying.

Nice large dog park with seperate areas for small and large dogs, but it is extremely muddy and there could be more areas with gravel. There could also be more garbage bins as people just leave their doggie bags thrown around.

What a lovely, spacious place to walk your dog and also relax. There's also the possibility of meeting two-footed creatures as well. Haha anyway, I would return with a picnic lunch, and have my canine friends nearby to enjoy the other doggies.

Nice large dog park. Good fences, and separate area for small dogs that was also quite large. We visited in winter on a +2C day that was quite muddy. Dog enjoyed it however.

Big area with lots of space for dogs! It seemed like the area for small dogs didn't really have any dogs in it but the larger area was awesome! All friendly dogs

It's a wonderful park, but it could be a magnificent one. In the large dog park, there is a stand of trees. These trees are in a location that has a significant ponding issue when the snows melt and during our spring rainy time. This stand of trees becomes a huge swamp. Of course our dogs are attracted to it. But because of the clay underneath, the waters don't drain, but just remains there. As dozens and dozens of dogs investigate, walk, run through it, the water becomes murkier and and a cesspool for bacteria. I have talked with many owners and there are numerous stories of dogs getting ill after a trip to this park. I'm sure there is a common sense solution of draining this water. I love this park, but I avoid it during the spring and after heavy rains. It's just not worth putting my dogs into a potentially dangerous situation.

Consists of two separate dog parks for different sizes of pups, both of which are fully fenced and quite large. Our Whippet's favourite park, paws down.

Very large dog park! Section for smaller dogs and larger dogs. The section for larger dogs is what we used, and it was amazing. Many places to sit, hose for fresh water for the pup, and plenty of room to run. Was a little unclear how to get there at first because the road leading to the dog park is down a hill and separate from the main park and looked a bit like a service road or a one way at first.

We had a great time but due to an event that was being set up, we were told that we weren't allowed to park in the parking lot closest to the dog park. In reality , the park is great but parking is an issue especially if you have dogs who need the off leash time because they're not used to being on lead Apart from that it was wonderful and the 2 dogs I was walking today had a great time zooming around

Great spot to take your dog to socialize and run around in the massive fenced in field. There’s also a small dog section, but personally mine prefers to run with the big dogs! lol.

Huge space. Has a small and big dog seperate parks. Very smart and safe lol

  • 4/5 Shane S. 2 years ago on Google
One of the largest open space areas for dogs to run around that I’ve been to. Separate areas for small and large dogs, about 20 parking spaces or so near the dog park, more parking available within walking distance. A walking trail inside the dog park would be nice, but only offers grassed areas and a few benches.

Good and bad days but there are owners who really need to leash their dogs! If you know your dog is going to go for every dog in the park plz be responsible and don’t bring your dog to the park! But when there are good dogs, loads and loads of fun!

Best dog park in the region! One big dog side and one small dog side. Big fields on each side with an area for shade. Also water is on site.

Great place to take your four-legged family members. Fresh water available, two enclosures to seperate large and small dogs, and a well maintained ground.

Very big and spacious, pup got into 2 fights but nothing that wasn't handled by either me or people close by fast enough! Welcoming place. <3

First time there yesterday.and was so impressed on how clean and well kept the grounds were. Other dog owners were so nice to talk to. My dog is a rescue and this was his first time at a dog park he was amazing with the other dogs there. Nice to see the two different areas for small and large dogs.

Great spot for your fur family! The park was huge and they divided I to two sections. One of the for your tiny pups and next to it are for large dogs. The place was clean, there's a portable toilet nearby and a tap for them to drink. Not too far are picnic area with trail but we didn't had the chance to try them out.

Larger Dog Section: If your dog is on the shyer and gentle side, you'd be advised to use it when there's no other dogs or those like yours. Not all owners are watchful for those times when their dog may be too aggressive and then intercede. Smaller Dog Section: Great area and not usually any issues. Both sections have a muddy/water area. Water is available in the warmer weather.

Lots of space, large dog park if you use it, I host my obedience classes there and various other behavior modification

Great area but not always many dogs around. Hit and miss but usually a hit. Bring a towel if your dog likes to get muddy. There's practically a swamp in there and many white dogs have turned brown.

One year already going with my dog to this park , and today he was attacked by a pit bull. PLEASE , if you know that your dog is agressive or from a breed that is potentially dangerous , try to don’t come to the park there are lot of trails and hiking options out there.

  • 5/5 Suzanne G. 4 years ago on Google
A wonderful place. Our dog loves it! In summer there is parking close to it. But in winter the road to the dog park parking is closed for safety. It's a good wide open space where the dogs can run and the owners can still keep a good sightline. There's a pond and a "wet spot", trees and benches. Dress for the weather, and yes, in mud season, the pups (and owners) will be muddy and wet.

Large and tucked away. Decent amount of trees for shade. People are almost always respectful of the large/small dog areas.

I love this place. I only wish they didn’t close it in the winter. The only other dog part in St.Catharine is a shared large and small dog area and this is not a good thing. :( my dogs have been badly hurt at the other location. Maybe they could split it into two like Burgoyne.
