👍👍 Had a blast at Reptilia Whitby. The staff are awesome. Very knowledgeable and fun. Great interactivity and the animals are well taken care of. Admission prices are very reasonable. Adults are $16 and kids under 12 are $12. We watched a snake feeding which was incredible. We also got to see and touch... Had a blast at Reptilia Whitby. The staff are awesome. Very knowledgeable and fun. Great interactivity and the animals are well taken care of. Admission prices are very reasonable. Adults are $16 and kids under 12 are $12. We watched a snake feeding which was incredible. We also got to see and touch two snakes. There was also a Tarantula, but we were not allowed to touch. Will bring the family back for sure.

Took my 3 year old and 1 year old for Valentine’s Day. Nothing says Cupid’s day like snakes! They both had a blast. Went right at 10am and stayed till 2 pm. The staff was great. They walk around and make sure everyone knows when they were doing a feeding or a tour. They pull out different animals for visitors to meet and educate them about. They had tables set up for colouring and a little Valentine’s craft. Kids play area is neat. Play place, music room, mirror maze, glow in the dark tunnel, and snake maze. The area has a water play area too with stones and rubber gators. Gift shop has lots to choose from. It is very warm wear a t shirt. No cafeteria for lunch or snacks, vending machines only. You are able to bring your own drink, snacks and food. They have seating and picnic tables at the enterence. It’s an all day pass, so you can even leave to eat and come back. Overall a great, fun, educational day.

A little small but nice to see a park like this in an older residential part of the city. We visited on a winter day with good snow cover, so no mud issues. Good seating and lots of street parking nearby.

Been taking my Boy there for 4yrs. "Most" Owners are Constantly Aware of their dog. Good Size Area. City brings Wood Chips to Help with Mud.. I Enjoy going there.❣️ Meeting New Local people. Note: ( 1 area for All dog Sizes)

Had a great time at Reptilia! Kids loved it. Good social distancing and safety measures in place for Covid. Good value. I went to the original location of Reptillia when it was mostly a pet store plus a handful of display animals. Now they have two nice locations that are mini zoos. The animals are so active and interactive due to their great care. Normally you can touch animals during presentations as well. This location has nile crocodiles, black and green mamba, anacondas, tarantulas, and much more. Nice indoor and outdoor play areas for kids. Reasonably priced gift shop. They also sell feeders and equipment for folks keeping reptiles themselves. Great two hour event or birthday spot for kids.

Needed to seek out a new park because our normal one was closed. Pretty good park, most of the dogs are awesome but the people are terrible. Not for medium or small dogs. Not all dogs are friendly here, both of my dogs were attacked. The owners did nothing and laughed me out. Kind of cliquey, if you’re new don’t go unless you know someone.

It’s a decent dog park, although it is small. I like that they frequently drop off wood chips, but they seem to just leave them in large piles all year long, so they never really get raked around the property which defeats their purpose. There are some dog owners that bring dogs that are not neutered/spayed which can create issues, so be aware of this. There are also sometimes aggressive/dominant dogs that are brought to this location frequently so also be aware of this.

Decent park, closest to home for us so we frequent it. Could use better maintenance but it's decent for what it is. Just be sure to watch for aggressive/ poorly trained dogs, have had multiple negative encounters with bad owners.

(Translated by Google) To start: if you want to see unhappy animals in a plastic habitat and much too small for reality. This is the place for you! The place is half open and poorly soundproofed. Animals are unhappy and or lifeless. Imagined human voices and cries all day .. For a "zoo" aquariums / enclosures / spaces are much too small ... NO ecosystem is reproduced, despite the explanatory tables on each species and their country of origin which explain their natural habitat. The space is designed for humans and not for animals. Buying space is more important than the well-being of reptiles ... I understand that here we save a few animals. But protection or well-being is not a priority. It is impossible to believe that a plastic plant helps to reproduce the natural ecosystem for reptiles ... During our visit at no time we felt that these animals were receiving good attention. My least favourite park in all of the St. Catharines / Niagara area. Small, very muddy, and filled with debris. Granted, the mud goes part and parcel with the time of year, but this park offers nothing else to relieve the view - no trees. It's a good 'inner-city' park, but if you're driving save the trip and go to Burgoyne or Fireman's.

This was a test for my dog, she hasn't really been socialized in the past so I'm doing the best that I can to socialize her I will definitely have to go back. although I only found one garbage can in the park and that was outside the dog park that's where I had to go to put my empty coffee cup.

Why is everyone so snobby here? I just want my dog to run around without being attacked by large dogs while their owners just look on doing nothing. Also, the wood chips have stabbed my dog in the foot twice causing bleeding, I wont come back until it's grass. Burgoyeon woods it is!

For anyone interested in reptiles, this is a great place to visit. The enclosures are really well done and there is multiple chances per day to view feedings. Many species that you would not expect to see or species that are unfamiliar. Venomous and non-venomous species of snakes are part of their collection as well as a great variety of lizards, turtles, tortoises, and frogs. Also crocodiles, alligators, African grey parrot, and tarantula! Feeding time for the crocodiles was exciting. Our grandkids loved our visit there.

I will not let my pure bred chocolate lab go there. Tried it when he was a pup (8 months at the time) he was attacked by 2 dogs while the owners looked on and did nothing. We pass it in our walks hence this Google map thing comes up. People I have spoken to also talk about kennel cough, some people not controlling their dogs resulting in the former dog being attacked. Dogs need to run to but I rather run or bike with my beloved dupe.

Even though we've had a lot of rain recently, I was surprised at just how muddy this park is. It was like a swamp. The city should do something about that. Other than that, it's a nice park for the dog to run in

I just brought my two dogs here and it was a nice great big fenced in area for them to run! The other dogs were friendly and playful, owners were easy to talk to and shared that most of the time if a dog is getting out of hand or being too much, the owner will leash them up and remove them from the park. Happy to hear it! It was covered in snow today so I didn’t have any mud to deal with. It’s a great leash-free park!

Not a huge fan of dog parks. Very sad that other owners cannot pick up after their dogs but it is what it is.

I love going to this dog park and so does my fur baby! I’ll admit that the ground gets a bit muddy on one half after rain or in winter when the snow melts but the people are great. The majority of people are very responsive to their dogs and break up any fights that happen quite quickly (it’s a dog park so they’re bound to happen occasionally). They’re friendly and happy to chat and share knowledge. In the summer and early fall there is a water spigot that you can get water from. They turn it off once it gets cold so the pipe doesn’t burst so bring water just in case. Basically my only complaint is that the gate latch isn’t always lined up to close easily but the community comes together and fixes it if the city doesn’t come to fix it quickly enough. I absolutely recommend coming here as long as it hasn’t just rained! Your fur kid will thank you for it!

First time visiting and it was great! Definitely worth visiting. Great winters day activity. The staff were friendly and the lady who did the animal talk and feeding was really knowledgeable. My son loved it. Great gift shop too. We've been to the Vaughan one but this one is so much better. A really clean environment, lots of animals to see and staff that were happy working there. A really nice outing.

Fun experience for the children. They enjoy seeing the different species of Reptiles but due to the Covid there was no shows and no engaging activities from the staff. It would have been nice to see the Reptiles in action, the Crocs in the water but most was sleeping or hiding. The indoor playground is closed. The outdoor ponds are dirty and unkept.

Please fix the uneven ground and people need to know their dogs temperment before just releasing off leash. My dog was bit yesterday. Hes okay but this person just got their dog and didnt know it was aggresive. Why was it off leash.

What to say about this place?...it would be nice if the city actually cared about it. They did bring new mulch which is good but I've had to call for the garbage to be dumped(they did 1/5 of it),as the winds carry the dog feces smell across the one entrance. I'm not sure how involved the city is on paper but considering there is almost no where to have dogs legally off leash they should be more concerned as they mandated the regulations to begin with. That being said I frequent it often(almost unusable after a rain). Most of the dogs I've encountered in there are quite well behaved...every now and again one or two can be trouble but the owners have always took charge and walked the doggy out.

I'm happy I have a place in our neighborhood to take the dog to an unleashed park but for the amount of dogs it's a small park. Also, there's not enough people who clean up after their dog.

  • 4/5 Scott M. 5 years ago on Google
It's a great park for your pup to run around and be social work other dogs. It would be nicer if it didn't turn into a mud pit any time there was a little moisture (doesn't bother the dogs, just makes clean up a lengthy process)

  • 3/5 natalie b. 4 years ago on Google
Have smaller chihuahua dogs, and they don't have a large and small dog section. Those with poorly trained canines have tried to make a snack out of my "rat dogs" but if you have smaller dogs, and go when it's not busy, it's usually a fun experience!

  • 4/5 cool b. 1 year ago on Google

  • 5/5 Seann G. 1 year ago on Google

I regularly come here to get feeders for my reptiles. The ladies on the phone and front desk are always incredibly kind, knowledgable, helpful, and a highlight of my day to talk to whether it be over the phone or in person. Their feeders are also always great quality and they get in a really decent selection. I usually get silkworms though occasionally will pick up frozen rats and crickets for a friend of mine.

Great park. Always lots of dogs. Wish it was grass instead of woodchips but thats ok.

  • 5/5 Robyn 5 years ago on Google
Great size, fun agility tunnels, safe gates to enter and exit. I love the size as it's large enough for doggos to run freely, yet small and spacious enough to keep your friend within sight at all times. There are also large tunnels for those that wish to train, and I love the smaller fenced section between gates so you may enter or exit safely, as this keeps remaining dogs inside. Should anyone slip by cheekily, this fenced section between gates acts as a handy fail-safe that keeps your friend from potentially running out altogether. Some visitors aren't fond of the woodchips over grass, but I believe this helps with mud, keeping the park accessible even during rainy weeks. Safe and fun space to socialize your friend and I look forward to frequenting the park. :)
